3 | # Project Summary
4 |
5 | In this project, we'll provide a variety of JavaScript problems to help improve your skills. We would like you to push yourselves as much as possible. We expect you to at least finish two problems in each section.
6 |
7 | If you would like to push yourself further, try to complete every problem. Otherwise, feel free to move on to other content.
8 |
9 | ## Setup
10 |
11 | * `Fork` this repository.
12 | * `Clone` your fork.
13 | * Open `./index.html` with your browser.
14 |
15 | `./index.html` will provide links to all the spec runners for your convenience. It also has all the JavaSript files you will be working in imported into it. This will allow you to use the browser debugger for all your code in one spot.
16 |
17 | ## Tips and Tricks
18 |
19 | One of the biggest tools at the developer's disposal is the browser's built-in debugger. To use it, open `./index.html` with your browser. Another great tool for small and isolated pieces of code is Pyton Tutor . Just make sure to change the code to `JavaScript ES6`.
20 |
21 | ## Contributions
22 |
23 | If you see a problem or a typo, please fork, make the necessary changes, and create a pull request so we can review your changes and merge them into the master repo and branch.
24 |

8 | Classes are a tool for building similar objects over and over again.
9 | They are a construct that helps your organize your code.
10 |
11 | Let's work with some employees at a company.
12 | You work for Widget Co. They have hundreds of employees.
13 | */
14 |
15 | ////////// PROBLEM 1 //////////
16 |
17 | /*
18 | Make a class to help us build all of the employees.
19 | Each employee has the following properties:
20 | - first_name
21 | - last_name
22 | - email
23 | - age
24 | Each employee has the following methods:
25 | - makeWidget
26 | - This returns a string equal to the employees first name + last name + the word widget
27 | - Example: "Dave Smith Widget"
28 |
29 | Call your class Employee and receive all the data in the constructor in the order listed above.

39 | Next, make a manager for Widget Co.
40 | The manager has all the same properties as an Employee. Copy the Employee class and rename it Manager.
41 | Each manager has the following additional properties:
42 | - reports (other employees) that defaults to an empty array
43 | Each manager has the following additional methods:
44 | - hire (employee)
45 | - Accepts a new employee as a parameter and pushes it to their list of reports.
46 | - fire (index)
47 | - Fire removes employees from their list of reports at the given index

59 | Managers for Widget Co. get promoted when they get more employees, and get a bonus when they fire employees.
60 | Progressive managers have all the same properties as managers. Copy the Manager class and rename
61 | it to ProgressiveManager. Add the following additional properties:
62 | - title - default 'Not a manager'
63 | - bonus - default 0
64 |
65 | When employees are hired or fired, the manager's title should be updated based on the number of reports.
66 | 0 reports : Not a manager
67 | 1-3 reports : Barely Manager
68 | 4-10 reports : Mostly Manager
69 | 11-50 reports : Manager
70 | 51-100 reports : Manager Plus
71 | 101+ reports : Bestest Manager
72 |
73 | Everytime they fire an employee they get $100 added to their bonus.

91 | - wear_and_tear_count - default 0
92 | - needs_reboot - default false
93 |
94 | A Machine has the following methods:
95 | - makeWidgets
96 | - This function takes in a number and increases widgets_made_count by that amount
97 | - It also increases wear_and_tear_count by 1 for every 50
98 | - fixMachine
99 | - This function sets needs_reboot to true
100 | - reboot
101 | - This function returns an anonymous function that is called when the machine is done rebooting
