27 | ## Acrolinx Scorecards
28 |
29 | **The minimum Acrolinx topic score of 80 is required for all Magic content merged to the default branch.**
30 |
31 | If you need a scoring exception for content in this PR, add the *Sign off* and the *Acrolinx exception* labels to the PR. The PubOps Team will review the exception request and may take one or more of the following actions:
32 |
33 | - Work with you to resolve the issues requiring the exception.
34 | - Escalate the exception request to the Acrolinx Review Team for review.
35 | - Approve the exception and work with the GitHub Admin Team to merge the PR to the default branch.
36 |
37 | For more information about the exception criteria and exception process, see [Minimum Acrolinx topic scores for publishing](https://review.docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office-authoring-guide/acrolinx-min-score?branch=main).
38 |
39 | Select the total score link to review all feedback on clarity, consistency, tone, brand, terms, spelling, grammar, readability, and inclusive language. _You should fix all spelling errors regardless of your total score_. Fixing spelling errors helps maintain customer trust in overall content quality.
40 |

12 | # Manually installing and configuring Custom Learning for Office 365
13 |
14 | The Microsoft Custom Learning Web Part is build using the [SharePoint Framework](/sharepoint/dev/spfx/sharepoint-framework-overview) version 1.7.1.
15 |
16 | To manually install and configure the web part and site collection, you need to complete the following steps:
17 |
18 | 1. Validate that you meet all the prerequisites.
19 | 1. Install the customlearning.sppkg file in your Office 365 Tenant App Catalog.
20 | 1. Provision/Identify a modern communication site to act as your Custom Learning for Office 365 home site.
21 | 1. Execute a PowerShell script that configures your tenant with the appropriate artifacts that Custom Learning depends on.
22 | 1. Navigate to the CustomLearningAdmin.aspx site page to load the admin web part to initialize the custom content configuration.
23 |
24 | ## Prerequisites
25 |
26 | You must have set up and configured the tenant-wide App Catalog. See [Set up your Office 365 tenant](/sharepoint/dev/spfx/set-up-your-developer-tenant#create-app-catalog-site) and follow the Create app catalog site section. If your tenant-wide App Catalog has already been provisioned, you need access to an account that has rights to upload a package to it to complete this set-up process. Generally this account has the SharePoint administrator role. If an account with that role doesn't work, go to the SharePoint admin center and find the Site Collection Administrators for the app catalog site collection and either log in as one of the Site Collection Administrators, or add the SharePoint administrator account that failed to the Site Collection Administrators. You would also need access to an account that is a SharePoint Tenant Admin.
27 |
28 | ## Upload the web part to the Tenant App Catalog
29 |
30 | To set up Custom Learning for Office 365, you upload the customlearning.sppkg file to the tenant-wide App Catalog and deploy it. See [Use the App Catalog to make custom business apps available for your SharePoint Online environment](/sharepoint/use-app-catalog) for detailed instructions on how to add an app to the app catalog.
31 |
32 | ## Provision/Identify Modern Communication Site
33 |
34 | Either identify an existing SharePoint communication site or provision a new one in your SharePoint Online tenant. For more information about how to provision a communication site, see [Create a communication site in SharePoint Online](https://support.office.com/article/create-a-communication-site-in-sharepoint-online-7fb44b20-a72f-4d2c-9173-fc8f59ba50eb) and follow the steps to create a communication site.
35 |
36 | ## Set permissions for the site
37 |
38 | You want to add everyone who should be able to view content to the Visitors group and everyone who should be able to administer custom playlists to the Members group. To configure the site for Custom Learning the first time, the user must be either a site collection administrator or part of the Owners group.
39 |
40 | Add Custom Learning for Office 365 App to the site collection.
41 |
42 | ## Execute PowerShell Configuration Script
43 |
44 | A PowerShell script `CustomLearningConfiguration.ps1` is included that you need to execute to create three [tenant properties](/sharepoint/dev/spfx/tenant-properties) that the solution uses. In addition, the script creates two [single part app pages](/sharepoint/dev/spfx/web-parts/single-part-app-pages) in the site pages library to host the admin and user web parts at a known location.
45 |
46 | ### Disabling Telemetry Collection
47 |
48 | Part of this solution includes anonymized telemetry tracking opt-in, which by default is set to on. If you're performing a manual install and you would like to turn telemetry tracking off, change the `CustomlearningConfiguration.ps1` script to set the $optInTelemetry variable to $false.
49 |
50 | If you aren't performing a manual install and would like to turn telemetry tracking off, a separate script `TelemetryOptOut.ps1` has been included that when run, disables telemetry tracking.
51 |
52 | ## Initialize web part custom configuration
53 |
54 | After the PowerShell script is successfully run, navigate to `/SitePages/CustomLearningAdmin.aspx`. This initializes the CustomConfig list item that sets up custom learning for its first use.
55 |
56 | The configuration is now complete and you can move forward with using Custom Learning for Office 365. For more information, see the user documentation.

12 | # Collect feedback from your employees
13 |
14 | The adoption of a new collaboration experience is about changing the behavior of your users. Human change requires training, encouragement, and positive examples. It's also critical for people to feel heard during the transition. If you have previously established successful feedback methods in your organization, consider expanding them to include your Office 365 implementation. If you haven't done this before, consider one of the following approaches:
15 |
16 | ## Use Viva Engage to provide an open community for best practices and support for the experience
17 |
18 | Community-driven feedback methods require champions and service owners to be engaged. Create an open Viva Engage community that is targeted to the technology you're rolling out. For instance, you can have a general one for Office 365 or choose to target it to users of Office, Microsoft Teams, or other technology. We recommend creating a monitoring schedule for your Viva Engage community that rotates among these members.
19 |
20 | ## Creating an org-wide team within Microsoft Teams (up to 2500)
21 | For smaller organizations an org-wide, public team can also provide a center of gravity for feedback and help. Consider creating a channel called "Ask a Champion" to foster communication between Champions and employees. Remember, that currently Microsoft Teams is limited to 2500 people though this will be increasing in the future. You can learn more about org-wide teams in [this article](/microsoftteams/create-an-org-wide-team).
22 |
23 | ## Microsoft Forms for Employee Surveys
24 |
25 | Use [Microsoft Forms](https://support.office.com/forms) to conduct short surveys about your deployment with key sets of users. We recommend sending out these surveys at the beginning, in the middle and toward the end of your service deployment. This gives you valuable data to continue to improve your approach.
26 |
27 | ## Highlight the Wins: Share Showcases
28 | As you continue along this journey, you would find showcases of employees whose creativity with Office 365 surprises and delights you. We recommend that you share these showcases broadly. This encourages others to be innovative, educate users who might be earlier in the adoption curve, and reward those who have taken the time to think through how to best use Office 365 in their environment. Setting a measurable goal of identifying a set number of showcases each quarter is helpful in maintaining your adoption momentum.
29 |
30 | Share these showcases in your public communities to inspire other employees and help them learn the benefits of Office 365.

11 |
12 | # Finding your Champions
13 |
14 | It's likely you already know who your champions are, even if you don't currently have a formal program. These are people who:
15 |
16 | - Are often seen helping others with existing technology
17 | - Enjoy teaching and learning about new technology
18 | - May be vocal about the limitations of current solutions
19 | - Are keen to try new things, even before other co-workers
20 |
21 | > [!NOTE]
22 | > Champions are different from people who enjoy testing new software for the technology alone. Champions thrive on **helping others** regardless of context.
23 |
24 | ## Start small and grow
25 |
26 | If your organization doesn't have a current Champion program, or you would like to reinvigorate the one you have send an invitation to a small group of known people who fit the above profile. Gather then together to discuss the goals of the new program and get their feedback. True Champions like to have their voice heard and feel as if they're a part of creating something.
27 |
28 | ## Provide structure
29 |
30 | Successful champion programs have a leader and a regular schedule to meet and discuss current issues. Monthly meetings at a minimum are an important part of creating a positive culture in the community and fostering growth.
31 |
32 | You can also use Microsoft Teams to create a hub for your Teamwork Champions' program. An example for that team structure can be found in [this article](/MicrosoftTeams/teams-adoption-your-first-teams).

12 | # Champion Program best practices: Establish champions for user adoption
13 |
14 | Organizational change management is the art of changing the behavior of a targeted group of people. There's a great deal of science and research supporting this practice. In these articles, we're going to help you drive the adoption of key services that lead to business outcomes in your company. Following our best practices would shorten your time to gaining measurable value from Office 365.
15 |
16 | A champions program is an essential part of driving adoption. These influencers in your company provide much needed support and encouragement to employees who are adopting the new technology. Review these pages to get informed about creating your adoption plan and running your own champion program.
17 |
18 | > [!NOTE]
19 | > You can update or replace this playlist with information about your own program for reference across your organization.
20 |
21 | ## Who are champions and what makes them tick?
22 |
23 | Champions aren't only passionate about what they do, but are also excited to share their knowledge and help their co-workers learn more effective solutions. Champions are enthusiastic and often frustrated with existing tools. They'll help you win the water cooler buzz challenge!
24 |
25 | We feel it's important to reward champions in meaningful ways. A few suggestions are:
26 |
27 | - Allow successful membership in the Champion program to contribute to the employees' performance review
28 | - Acknowledge your most successful Champions with rewards of Office swag and employee perks
29 | - Engage your Champions with ongoing training and content they can pass along to other employees
30 |
31 | The champion personality doesn't usually engage because of these rewards, but instead because it creates a more meaningful and measurable experience for them, which contributes to employee satisfaction.
32 |
33 | ## Why are champions important?
34 |
35 | Learning via co-workers is among the most effective method of learning in a professional environment. Champions will also provide your adoption program valuable insight about what is and isn't working about your service deployment, training program, and overall sentiment regarding the changes you're implementing.
36 |
37 |
38 |
39 | ## How will Champions Support you?
40 |
41 | Champions help reduce the strain on the resources of the core project team, and help drive engagement throughout the community. They'll also:
42 |
43 | 1. Create a ground swell of enthusiasm that grows adoption of improved ways of working
44 | 1. Build a circle of influence among their teams
45 | 1. Bring the new ways of working to life across teams
46 | 1. Identify business challenges and possible solutions
47 | 1. Provide feedback to the project team and sponsors

12 | # Access the Learning Pathways Administration page
13 |
14 | Learning pathways administration is managed from the CustomLearningAdmin.aspx page. This administration page is only available to SharePoint Administrators. Users with member privileges visiting the site will not see the **Administration** gear icon on the Web part. In addition, only Administrators will have the ability to open the administration page from the **Learning pathways administration** menu item under the SharePoint **Home** menu.
15 |
16 | > [!IMPORTANT]
17 | > Changes made on the Custom Learning Administration page, such as hiding a product subcategory or playlist, will be reflected in all instances of the Web part. In addition, it’s recommended that only one administrator at time make changes from the administration page, since Custom Learning does not provide collision detection if multiple people are using the page at the same time.
18 |
19 | ## Access from the Learning pathways web part - preferred method
20 | Opening the Administration page from the web part is the preferred method since it opens the page in a new browser tab. With this method, it's easy to flip back and forth between the tabbed pages to check or modify your work.
21 |
22 | 1. From the Microsoft 365 learning pathways **Home** page, click the **Office 365 training** tile.
23 | 2. Click the **Administration** icon in the Web part as shown in the following example.
24 |
25 |
26 |
27 | ## Access from the Home menu item
28 | Rather than navigate to a page with a Web part, administrators can access the Adminstration page from the SharePoint **Home** menu item.
29 |
30 | - From the Microsoft 365 Learning Pathways Home page, click the **Home** menu, then click **Microsoft learning administration**.

32 |
33 | ## Add Owners to Site

Owners have administrative privileges on the site so they can modify site pages and rebrand the site. They also have the ability to hide and show content delivered through the Custom Learning Web part. They'll also have the ability to build custom playlist and assign them to custom subcategories.
35 |
36 | 1. From the SharePoint **Settings** menu, click **Site Permissions**.
37 | 2. Click **Advanced Permission Settings**.
38 | 3. Click **Custom learning for Office 365 Owners**.

12 | # Manage learning pathways content updates
13 | The Microsoft 365 Learning Pathways catalog is updated on a near-quarterly basis. The catalog content, which is a set of JSON metadata pointing to learning assets hosted on support.office.com, is stored in a global cache within an organization's tenant. The global cache is automatically updated when a learning pathways Site Collection Administrator or Owner opens the learning pathways Administration page. In addition, the learning pathways global cache is updated every 24 hours. Content updates to the catalog will automatically appear for learning pathways users when the global cache is updated. A learning pathways administrator can hide subcategories or playlists if they don't want to make new content available to users.
14 |
15 | As a learning pathways administrator, you use the learning pathways administration page to hide and unhide subcategories and playlists. If you're not familiar with the learning pathways administration page, see [Access the Administration page](custom_accessadmin.md).
16 |
17 | ## Hide and unhide content by Category
18 | 1. From the Home page of the learning pathways site, point to the **Home** menu, and then select **Learning pathways administration**.
19 | 2. Under **Microsoft 365 learning pathways**, select a subcategory.
20 | 3. Select the eye to the right of the subcategory or playlist you want to hide. For example, to hide the **Sway** category and all its playlists, select the eye to the right of the **Sway** subcategory. All changes are automatically saved.
21 | 4. To verify your changes have been applied, from the learning pathways site, select **Microsoft 365 training** from the menu, and then refresh the web browser.
22 | 5. To unhide content, follow steps 1 and 2, and then unselect the eye for the content you want to unhide.
23 |
24 | ## To hide and unhide content by Technology
25 | In some cases, you might want to hide content by Technology. For example, you might want to hide all content related to Viva Engage, including Viva Engage playlists under Products and Viva Engage related playlists in the Recommended subcategory.
26 |
27 | 1. From the **Home** page of the learning pathways site, point to the **Home** menu, and then select **Learning pathways administration**.
28 | 2. In the upper-right dropdown box, select **Technology**.
29 | 3. Under **Microsoft 365 learning pathways**, select a technology
30 | 4. Select the eye to the right of the technology you want to hide. For example, to hide content for Viva Engage, select the eye to the right of the **Viva Engage** technology. All changes are automatically saved.
31 | 5. To verify your changes have been applied, from the learning pathways site, select **Microsoft 365 training** from the menu, and then refresh the web browser. You can also select **Recommended playlists** from the Learning pathways **Home** page and verify that playlists for technology you've hidden are not visible.

12 | # Create SharePoint pages for Custom Playlists
13 |
14 | One of the unique features of learning pathways is the ability to create playlists that are assembled from assets from Microsoft and from SharePoint assets that you create. In this example, we’ll create a SharePoint page in advance of creating a playlist. The ability to build playlists from SharePoint pages offers a variety of opportunities to build pages using the Web parts available from Microsoft or your organization. For example, a playlist can include a SharePoint page with embedded videos from YouTube, or a form built from Office 365 Forms, or an embedded Power BI report. In this example, we’ll show you how to build a page with the Embed web part and the Text web part.
15 |
16 | ## Create a SharePoint page for a custom playlist
17 |
18 | 1. Click the SharePoint **Gear** icon, and then click **Add a page**.
19 | 2. Click **Add a new section (+)** on the left-hand side of the page, and then click **Two Columns** for the section layout.
20 | 3. In the left column, click + , and then click the **Embed** web part.
21 | 4. In the right column, click +, and then click the **Text** web part. Your page should look like this.
22 |
23 |
24 |
25 | ### Add a video and text from YouTube
26 |
27 | 1. In your browser, go to YouTube. For this example, search for “What is Office 365 – Microsoft’s best productivity apps”.
28 | 2. Click the video to play it, then pause it, then right-click on it.
29 | 3. Click **Copy embed code**, then return to the SharePoint page.
30 | 4. Click **Add embed code** in the **Embed** web part, and then add the code from the YouTube video.
31 | 5. Return to the YouTube page and copy the **Description** text for the video.
32 | 6. Return to the SharePoint page, select the **Text** web part, then copy the text from the YouTube video.
33 | 7. Select the **Edit web part** icon in the Title area of the SharePoint page, and then name the page “Custom Playlist Introduction”.
34 | 8. For **Layout**, select **Plain**, then close **Title Region** properties pane. The page should now look something like the following.
35 |
36 |
37 |
38 | ### Publish the page
39 |
40 | - Select the **Publish** button. Now you're ready to add this SharePoint page to your custom playlist.

Or create a First Day for Microsoft 365 playlist that has three simple steps instead of six. You can add a custom playlist to any subcategory. For example, **First Days**, a **Product** subcategory like **Excel**, or even a subcategory that you create. In this section, we’ll cover how to create a playlist, and then cover adding assets to a playlist in the following section, [Add assets to a custom playlist](custom_addassets.md).
15 |
16 | ## Create a playlist

12 | # Measuring impact of Microsoft 365 learning pathways
13 |
14 | Administrators should leverage SharePoint’s built-in site usage reporting capabilities to measure organizational impact of the Microsoft 365 learning pathways. There are two primary scenarios for measuring impact:
15 | - Site level impact – view usage data for the Custom Learning for Office 365 specific site
16 | - Organization level impact – understand Customer Learning for Office 365 usage with respect to all other sites within your organization
17 |
18 | ## Site-level impact
19 |
20 | As a SharePoint Online site owner, you can view information that shows you how users are interacting with your site. For example, you can see the number of people who have visited the site, how many times people have visited the site, and a list of files that have received the most views. See [Report Details](https://support.office.com/article/view-usage-data-for-your-sharepoint-site-2fa8ddc2-c4b3-4268-8d26-a772dc55779e).
21 |
22 |
23 |
24 | ## Organization-level impact
25 | The Office 365 Admin Center SharePoint site usage report enables Administrators to get a high level view of the value you are getting from the Custom Learning for Office 365 site relative to all other SharePoint sites. See [Report Details](/microsoft-365/admin/activity-reports/sharepoint-site-usage-ww?view=o365-worldwide&preserve-view=true).
26 |
27 | Follow the referenced article to:
28 | 1. Learn how to get to the SharePoint site usage report
29 | 2. Interpreting the SharePoint site usage report details. Sort on the Site URL field to more easily identify your Microsoft 365 learning pathways site.
30 | 3. Leverage the report Export functionality for more advanced data analysis or if your organization has greater than 2,000 sites.
31 |
32 | ## Response
33 |
34 | As of today, reporting is limited to the SharePoint site level. Lend your vote to our [User Voice](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2109552) forum to help prioritize enhanced reporting functionality requests.

17 | - Modify the Ask Questions and Get Help page to create your own Help Center.
18 | - Hide or show content to reflect the services or features supported in your organization.
19 | - Build custom playlists and subcategories crafted specifically for your user's needs.
20 | - Build landing pages with content filtered to support business outcomes, such as driving the adoption of Microsoft Teams, Outlook mobile, or working more collaboratively with Microsoft 365.
21 |
22 |
23 |
24 | ## Requirements and Permissions
25 |
26 | Before getting started with the Customize learning pathways guidance, ensure that your SharePoint Tenant Administrator has set up the learning pathways. If you aren't sure if the learning pathways are set up, contact your SharePoint tenant administrator to verify that learning pathways are provisioned. Also be sure to get the URL of the learning pathways SharePoint site. 14 | # Multilingual support for learning pathways
15 |
16 | If your organization spans a diverse population, you can make Microsoft 365 learning pathways available in multiple languages. Learning pathways currently supports ten languages. English is the default language. The supported languages include:
17 |
18 | - English
19 | - Chinese (Simplified)
20 | - French
21 | - German
22 | - Italian (Italy)
23 | - Japanese (Japan)
24 | - Portuguese (Brazilian)
25 | - Russian (Russian)
26 | - Spanish
27 | - Dutch
28 |
29 | ## Get familiar with the SharePoint Online multilingual features
30 | Multilingual support for learning pathways is enabled by SharePoint Online multilingual features for communication sites.
31 | With SharePoint Online multi-lingual support, you can provide translated pages, news posts, and user interface elements in the user's preferred language. Before you start working with learning pathways, take some time to learn how multilingual support works for SharePoint Online communication sites.
32 | - To learn about SharePoint Online multilingual features, see [Create multilingual communication sites, pages, and news](https://support.office.com/article/2bb7d610-5453-41c6-a0e8-6f40b3ed750c).
33 |
34 | ### What you should know before getting started
35 | Before you get started enabling multilingual support for learning pathways, here's some key information you should know.
36 |
37 | - Page translation features are available on SharePoint Online communication sites only.
38 | - The learning pathways Web part is displayed in the language of the user profile of the person viewing the site.
39 | - If you provision a new learning pathways site from the SharePoint Provisioning Service, the site is created with English as the default language. The default language cannot be changed. For more information, see [Setup options for multilingual support](./custom_setupoptions_ml.md).
40 | - Previous versions of learning pathways, if installed in your tenant, were provisioned with English as the default language. The default language cannot be changed. For more information, see [Setup options for multilingual support](./custom_setupoptions_ml.md).
41 | - If you provision a new learning pathways site, the site is provisioned in 9 languages. You can turn off the languages you don't want to support. For more information, see [Provision a new learning pathways multilingual site](./custom_provision_ml.md).
42 | - If you update learning pathways from a previous version to the 4.0 multilingual version, the pages of your site are not automatically translated. Each page created in your default language can have a corresponding page in a chosen target language that you, or someone you assign, manually translates. After a page is translated and published, it will automatically be displayed to users in the language specified in their profile. For more information, see [Update learning pathways for multilingual support](./custom_update_ml.md).
43 | - The language displayed in the learning pathways web part will depend on their user's personal language and region settings. For more information about setting up a user profile for language and region, see [Create multilingual communication sites, pages, and news](https://support.office.com/article/2bb7d610-5453-41c6-a0e8-6f40b3ed750c).
44 | - Site navigation, title, and footers must be translated by a person with a user profile in the language to be translated. For more information about translating site navigation, title, and footer, see [Create multilingual communication sites, pages, and news](https://support.office.com/article/2bb7d610-5453-41c6-a0e8-6f40b3ed750c).
45 |
46 | ## Next Steps
47 | - To get started with learning pathways multilingual support, see [Setup options for learning pathways multilingual support](./custom_setupoptions_ml.md).

12 |
13 | # Partner frequently asked questions
14 |
15 | ### How does Microsoft 365 learning pathways compare to partner offerings from companies that provide enterprise training services?
16 | Several existing Microsoft partners offer training solutions for Office 365 and Windows 10. Many of these partners offer premium services that go beyond the capabilities of Microsoft 365 learning pathways, providing unique and compelling value that further helps customers adopt Microsoft technology. Unique partner capabilities include custom course design, instructor-led design, gamification, user behavior analytics, extensive communication and engagement features, and live support. When considering which training solution(s) to adopt, customers should consider their requirements, timeline, and budget. It is also possible to adopt Microsoft 365 learning pathways in combination with training partner offerings.
17 |
18 | ### Is Microsoft 365 learning pathways an open-source solution?
19 | The Custom Learning site template and content solution is hosted in the open-source SharePoint Patterns and Practices GitHub repository. However, the repository is locked down for only Microsoft submissions at this point. We plan to support partner contributions to both the template and the content store in the future, once we establish an appropriate oversight and compliance plan.
20 |
21 | ### Can I supplement the Microsoft 365 learning pathways content feed with my partner-provided content?
22 | While it’s not possible to supplement the feed directly ‘out of the box’ from the SharePoint Online Provisioning service, there are several integration models that partners can leverage to create aligned value-add services.
23 |
24 | 1. **Deployment and customization services on behalf of customers** - Partners can perform the solution install, branding, and content customization for their customers. Partners can also provide customized playlists that reference value-add training content they create.
25 | 2. **Customization, rebranding, repackaging, and deployment services on behalf of customers** - Partners can customize site templates and content playlists per customer requirements, and they can repackage and deploy them within customer environments by building on the open-source SharePoint Patterns and Practice framework.
26 |
27 | ### How does this solution affect my adoption change management practice?
28 | Training services are one component of the broader adoption and change management practice space. The Microsoft 365 learning pathways solution serves a specific need to accelerate partners’ and customers’ ability to access and customize Microsoft-provided training content. Microsoft 365 learning pathways does not include custom course design, instructor-led design, gamification, user-behavior analytics, extensive communication and engagement features, or live support. Microsoft relies on Adoption and Change Management partners to fulfill these services for customers.
29 |
30 | ### How should I think of the Microsoft 365 learning pathways solution with respect to Microsoft Learn?
31 | Microsoft Learn is a Microsoft-hosted web site that provides guided learning paths with points, levels, and user profiles. It tracks a user’s learning progress on an individual basis. Currently, Microsoft Learn primarily serves Developer and IT audiences.
32 | Microsoft 365 learning pathways is a customizable SharePoint site solution that offers a live feed of end-user training content from support.office.com. It allows Office 365 customers build and customize a SharePoint-based intranet learning site, hide content for features not supported, build targeted playlists, and configure the Custom learning web part to support targeted learning scenarios.

13 | # Partner Onboarding Guide
14 | Get started with learning pathways by following the three steps outlined below. With the three steps, you can build a compelling demo that you can use for engaging presentations with customers.
15 |
16 |
17 |
18 | ## 1. Create a Microsoft 365 demonstration environment
19 | You can use demos.microsoft.com to create a demo environment where you can provision the service, validate it, and use it for presenting learning pathways to customers. All partners have access to https://demos.microsoft.com for these purposes. You can use the demos.microsoft.com **Getting Started Guide** if you are new to the demo environment.
20 |
21 | ## 2. Provision Microsoft 365 learning pathways
22 | You can provision learning pathways with the SharePoint Online Provisioning Service.
23 | - To provision learning pathways, go to the [Microsoft 365 learning pathways](https://adoption.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-learning-pathways/) solution page. Review the [Learning pathways setup options](./custom_setupoptions.md).
24 | - Review the [Solution Prerequisites](./custom_provision.md) – as these are common impediments for customer new to SharePoint who may not have all the correct permissions or necessary environment configuration in place, such as a tenant app catalog.
25 | - Try to deploy the solution via a non-Administrator role – to familiarize yourself with the provisioning service error-handling and email service.
26 |
27 | ## 3. Explore your newly provisioned learning pathways site to get familiar with its capabilities
28 | [Explore your newly provisioned learning pathways site](./custom_exploresite.md) to familiarize yourself with its capabilities. Review the [Admin Success Center](./custom_successcenter.md) for information about content and feature updates, plus planning, customization, adoption, and measuring impact guidance.
29 |
30 | ## 4. Customize the learning experience
31 | [Customize the learning pathways experience](./custom_overview.md) by working through the following functional areas:
32 | - [Hide and show Subcategories](./custom_hideshowsub.md), [Playlists](./custom_hideshowplaylists.md), and [Technologies](./custom_hideshowtech.md).
33 | - [Copy a playlist](./custom_copyplaylist.md)
34 | - [Create a Custom Playlist](./custom_createnewplaylist.md) – starting with [SharePoint pages](./custom_createnewpage.md), [playlist creation](./custom_createnewplaylist.md), [adding assets](./custom_addassets.md), and [creating subcategories](./custom_createnewcat.md).
35 |
36 | ## 5. Create a sample learning pathways communication campaign
37 | Create a sample learning pathways communication campaign based on the [downloadable Adoption Kit](https://teamworktools.azurewebsites.net/m365lp/m365lpadoptionkit.zip) and highlight the custom content you created in Step 4. You can leverage this when demoing the complete customer experience.

13 | # Translate the site name, navigation, and footers
14 | The site name, navigation, and footer of your site needs to be translated manually by a user working in their preferred language profile. For example, if you’ve made changes to the site name, navigation, and footer in English, a user with Spanish as their preferred personal language manually edits and translates the title, navigation, and footer into Spanish. A user with German as their preferred personal language does the same for German. Once the content is translated, it will display for all users of those preferred languages.
15 |

13 | # Use Advisor for Teams with learning pathways to help roll out Microsoft Teams
14 | Now Learning Pathways is integrated with Advisor for Teams. Advisor for Teams walks you through a Microsoft Teams rollout and learning pathways helps complete the last mile of the rollout by offering a customizable learning solution for getting users up-to-speed quickly. Advisor for Teams assesses your organization's Microsoft 365 environment and identifies the most common configurations that you need to update or modify before you can successfully roll out Teams. Then, Advisor for Teams creates a Deployment team (in Teams), with channels for each workload you want to roll out. Each workload in the Deployment team comes with a comprehensive Planner plan that includes all the rollout tasks for each workload, including tasks for creating a learning plan, and driving adoption with learning pathways.

12 | # Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 learning pathways
13 |
14 | Here are troubleshooting tips for problems that can occur with Microsoft 365 learning pathways or the SharePoint Online Provisioning Service.
15 |
16 | ## How to know if you have Tenant Admin permissions
17 |
18 | Sign in to the SharePoint Online Provisioning Service and provisioning Custom Learning requires Tenant Admin permissions. If you're experiencing sign in issues with the SharePoint Online Provisioning Service, make sure that you're assigned the Global administrator role. The Custom Learning solution requires Tenant Admin permissions, otherwise known as Office 365 Global Administrator role. Here’s how to determine if you're assigned the Global Administrator role.
19 |
20 | 1. Sign in to Office.com.
21 | 2. Select **Admin**
22 | 3. Under **Users**, select **Active Users**
23 | 4. Search for your name
24 | 5. Select your name in Search results. You should see Global administrator for your role.
25 |
26 |
27 |
28 | ### If you don’t have the Global administrator role
29 | - Find a Global Administrator in your organization and have that person sign into the service or have them assign the Global administrator role to you.
30 |
31 | ## Tenant App Catalog Troubleshooting
32 | Custom Learning requires an App Catalog to be provisioned in the target tenant. Creating an app catalog requires Global Administrator permissions. Here’s are troubleshooting steps for common App Catalog issues:
33 |
34 | ### How to know if you have a Tenant app catalog
35 | For starters, ensure that you have Global administrator permissions. See the steps for Tenant Admin permissions:
36 |
37 | 1. From Office 365, select **Admin**, select the expanded arrow >, select **Show all** > **Admin centers** > **SharePoint**.
38 | 2. Select **Classic Admin SharePoint Center** > **apps** > **App Catalog**.
39 | 3. Under **Apps**, you should see a tile titled **Distribute apps for SharePoint**.
40 | If you see the tile, you have a Tenant App Catalog. See the **How to ensure you are a Site Collection...** section. If you don’t see the tile, you need to create a tenant app catalog for your tenant. See the **How to create a Tenant App Catalog** section.
41 |
42 | ### How to ensure you're a Site Collection Owner on the Tenant App Catalog
43 | To provision Microsoft 365 learning pathways, you need to be a Site Collection Owner on the Tenant App Catalog. Here’s how to determine if you're an Owner.
44 |
45 | 1. From Office 365, select **Admin**, select the expanded arrow >, select **Show all** > **Admin centers** > **SharePoint**.
46 | 2. Select **Classic Admin SharePoint Center**, and then select the **app catalog**.
47 | 3. Select **Owner**, and then ensure you're a Site Collection Owner. It should look something like this.
48 |
49 |
50 |
51 | ### How to create a Tenant App Catalog if one doesn’t exists
52 | 1. Sign in to Office 365 with your SharePoint Online admin account.
53 | 2. Select **Admin**.
54 | 3. Under **Admin centers**, select **SharePoint**.
55 | 4. Select **Apps** > **App Catalog**.
56 | 5. Select **Create a new app catalog site**, and then select **OK**.
57 | 6. Enter the information for the App Catalog. You can include more than one Administrator. The following shows an example.
58 |
59 |
60 |
61 | 7. That’s it. You’re done. But before you move to provisioning Custom Learning, you need to wait at least 30 minutes to make sure the App Catalog creation is complete.
62 |
63 | > [!IMPORTANT]
64 | > Wait at least 30 minutes after creating the Tenant App Catalog before provisioning Custom Learning. This ensures that the App Catalog provisioning process is complete within SharePoint.

13 | # Provision Custom Learning
14 |
15 | With the SharePoint Online Provisioning Service, an Office 365 Tenant Administrator can start the provisioning process with a few simple selections. The Provisioning Service is the recommended way to provision Custom Learning. It's fast, easy, and takes only a few minutes to start the process. Before getting started with the Provisioning Service, however, make sure you've met the prerequisites for provisioning.
16 |
17 | ## Prerequisites
18 |
19 | To successfully set up Custom Learning with the Provisioning Service [SharePoint Online Provisioning Service](https://github.com/SharePoint/sp-provisioning-service), the person doing the provisioning must meet the following prerequisites:
20 |
21 | - The person provisioning Custom Learning must be a Tenant Administrator of the tenant where Custom Learning will be provisioned.
22 | - A tenant App Catalog must be available within the Apps option of the SharePoint Admin Center. If your organization doesn't have a SharePoint tenant App catalog, refer to the [SharePoint Online documentation](/sharepoint/use-app-catalog) to create one.
23 | - The person provisioning Custom Learning must be a Site Collection Owner of the Tenant App Catalog. If the person provisioning Custom Learning isn't a Site Collection Owner of the App Catalog, [complete these instructions](addappadmin.md) and continue.
24 |
25 | ### To provision Custom Learning
26 |
27 | 1. Go to `http://provisioning.sharepointpnp.com` and **sign in** from the upper right hand corner of the home page. Sign in with the credentials for the targeted tenant where you plan to install the site template.
28 |
29 |
30 | 2. Clear the **Consent on behalf of your organization** and select **Accept**.
31 |
32 |
33 |
34 | 3. Select **Custom Learning for Office 365** from the solution gallery.
35 |
36 |
37 |
38 |
39 | 4. From the solution home page, select **Add to your Tenant**
40 |
41 |
42 |
43 | 5. Complete the fields on the provisioning information page as appropriate for your installation. At a minimum, enter the email address where you wish to get notifications about the provisioning process and the destination URL for your site to be provisioned to.
44 | > [!NOTE]
45 | > Make the destination URL for your site something friendly to your employees such as "/sites/MyTraining" or "/teams/LearnOffice365".
46 |
47 |
48 |
49 | 6. Select **Provision** when ready to install Custom Learning into your tenant environment. The provisioning process takes up to 15 minutes. You'll be notified via email (to the notification email address you entered on the Provisioning page) when the site is ready for access.
50 |
51 | > [!IMPORTANT]
52 | > The Tenant Admin who provisions the Custom Learning site must go to the site, and then open CustomLearningAdmin.aspx to initialize Custom Learning Admin properties. At this time, the Tenant Admin should also assign Owners to the site.
53 |
54 | ## Validate Provisioning Success
55 |
56 | When provisioning is complete, the Tenant Admin receives an email from the PnP Provisioning Service. The admin can copy the link to the site provided in the email, and then follow the instructions to go to the site. Alternately, the tenant admin can navigate to YOUR-SITE-COLLECTION-URL/SitePages/CustomLearningAdmin.aspx. This initializes the CustomConfig list item that sets up Custom Learning for its first use. The person who first opens this page must be a Tenant Admin, Site Collection Admin, or Owner of the site. You should see a page that looks like this:
57 |
58 | ## Add Owners to Site
59 | As the Tenant Admin, it's unlikely you are the person customizing the site, so you need to assign Owners to the site. Owners have administrative privileges on the site so they can modify site pages and rebrand the site. They also have the ability to hide and show content delivered through the Custom Learning Web part. They also have the ability to build custom playlist and assign them to custom subcategories.
60 |
61 | 1. From the SharePoint **Settings** menu, select **Site Permissions**.
62 | 2. Select **Advanced Permission Settings**.
63 | 3. Select **Custom learning for Office 365 Owners**.
64 | 4. Select **New** > **Add Users to this group**, add the people you want to be Owners, and then select **Share**.
65 |
66 | 8. Select the **Following** option in the upper right hand corner of the page to follow the site.

13 | # Customize the training experience
14 |
15 | This is a test four. By default, both the site experience and the web part include content for all Office 365 and Windows 10 services. If only all or some of these services are available in your company, you can adjust what content is available to your users.
16 |
17 | There are several kinds of customizations that are available to the owners of this site.
18 |
19 | - [Customize web pages](#customizing-web-pages)
20 | - [Customize available services](#customize-available-services)
21 | - [Customize and share playlists](customplaylist.md)
22 |
23 | Some or all of these customizations can be completed before you launch the site to your user community.
24 |
25 | > [!TIP]
26 | > Gather feedback from your employees and periodically complete additional customizations. Add playlists, target webpages to specific roles or turn on new training content when launching new services.
27 |
28 | ## Customizing web pages
29 |
30 | You can fully customize the Custom Learning web site. If you aren't familiar with creating pages within modern SharePoint Online sites, we suggest you review [Customize your SharePoint site](https://support.office.com/article/customize-your-sharepoint-site-320b43e5-b047-4fda-8381-f61e8ac7f59b) article on support.office.com.
31 |
32 | ### Customize the **Ask Questions and Get Help** page
33 |
34 | As a starting point for customizing the site, select Ask questions and get help from the menu bar, then select the SharePoint Edit button and change the images and the links.
35 |
36 |
37 |
38 | ## Customize available services
39 |
40 | 1. Navigate to the Custom Learning Administration page within the website
41 |

12 | # During Morning Coffee
13 |
14 |
15 |
16 | It's 7:00 AM, and even before opening your computer, you can get a lot done on your mobile device while drinking your morning coffee. In this section, you can learn how to kick-start your day with Office 365 apps on your phone.
17 |
18 | Office 365 makes it possible to work from any of your devices, wherever you are. Discover the benefits of using your mobile device to read the latest emails that have come in overnight, check tasks, reschedule a meeting, review your Power BI dashboards, correct a presentation, or send a message.
19 |
20 | ## Tools
21 | - Outlook (mobile)
22 | - Microsoft Teams (mobile)
23 | - SharePoint News (mobile)
24 | - Office (mobile)
25 |
26 | ## Checklist for your morning coffee
27 | - Check mail in Outlook or Outlook mobile
28 | - Get up to date on projects in Microsoft Teams & SharePoint News
29 | - Manage calendar items on your mobile device
30 | - Check tasks for the day
31 | - Manage Office files from your mobile device
32 |
33 | ## Check mail from your mobile device
34 | Before you unlock your phone, you can see unread emails that were sent to you overnight from colleagues in different time zones. You can also see that you have two meetings scheduled for 9:00 AM - you have to do something about that, but first things first: check email to see if anything important has come in.
35 |
36 | Different mobile platforms have different notification capabilities. Set up notifications within your mobile devices notification settings.
37 |
38 | ## Get up to date on projects in Microsoft Teams
39 | Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace perfect for managing projects, customer engagements, or any type of teamwork that is made more productive by fast conversations. Teams and their channels can be easily scanned for new activity. Scan the latest activity from your teams by navigating to the Activity Feed in your Microsoft Teams mobile application. There you can see notifications from channels you follow or where people have @mentioned you to get your feedback.
40 |
41 | ## Manage calendar items on your mobile device
42 | Scrolling through email, you see that there's a reference to one of the meetings scheduled for 9:00 AM. It says that your manager needs an update on the status of a project you're working on in that meeting, and that the current slide deck in the document library of your SharePoint Online team site is lacking the latest figures. This is clearly the priority, so you go to the Calendar in Outlook to reschedule the other meeting that was at 9:00 AM and send updates to the attendees.
43 |
44 | ## Check tasks for the day
45 | While in the Calendar app, you can also check the tasks for the day. If you're using Planner, the owner of your plan can add this information to their Outlook calendar. Then any member of the team can view tasks in a schedule view in Outlook. This enables you to have a clear view of priority tasks and appointments.
46 |
47 | ## Manage Office files from your mobile device
48 | To update the presentation with the latest figures, go into the Office hub on your mobile device where the document library for the team site has been set up to sync. From there, find the slide-deck that is being used for the meeting, and edit it directly from your phone, adding the latest figures from the Power BI dashboard. You can also easily access files via the Microsoft Teams files tab, which automatically opens Office Hub on your mobile device.

13 | # Collaborating with Colleagues
14 |
15 |
16 |
17 | It's 2:00 PM and time to collaborate with colleagues. Office 365 provides best-in-class opportunities for collaboration, enabling teams to work together in multiple ways.
18 |
19 | ## Tools
20 | - Microsoft Teams
21 | - Office Online
22 | - OneNote
23 | - SharePoint & OneDrive
24 | -
25 | ## Checklist for collaborating with colleagues
26 | - Create or join a Microsoft Team to collaborate
27 | - Create and share files from OneDrive
28 | - Cocreate in Office 365
29 | - Use cloud attachments
30 |
31 | ## Create or join a Microsoft Team for collaboration
32 |
33 | Microsoft Teams and channels are places where people can collaborate by sharing files, tracking team action items and much more. Every Microsoft Teams has an integration into a SharePoint site, a OneNote notebook, and other assets. This service of Office 365 is best used for people who work together frequently on shared projects or outcomes.
34 |
35 | ## Share Files from your OneDrive
36 | Files that are saved on OneDrive for Business can be shared with anyone either from the browser or Office 365 desktop applications like Word or Excel. It's possible to share with individuals using their name, alias, or company email address.
37 |
38 | ## Co-create in Office 365
39 | Co-creation is when we work simultaneously with colleagues on the same file. This is possible in the web-based versions of the core Office 365 apps and in the desktop versions of those applications from Office 2016 onward. Save time and work together on the same document and Office synchronizes those changes for you, even if one of you is offline.
40 |
41 |
42 |
43 | ## Use Cloud Attachments - Stop Emailing that Spreadsheet!
44 | How many times did you search for the right version of a document when it was attached to an email? Now in Office 365 you can share a link to the file, called a cloud attachment, so that everyone is editing the same version. You can choose to either send a link and whether or not people can view or edit the file.

13 | # During your Commute
14 |
15 |
16 |
17 | In the morning, you commute to work but you don't have to leave all your work behind. With Office 365, you can move your work over to your mobile device and continue what you were doing. You can have a safe and productive commute with our mobile experience.
18 |
19 | > [!IMPORTANT]
20 | > If you drive to work, please make sure you prioritize your safety and follow all driving laws that govern distracted driving. Pull over to join a meeting, do not text or read messaging while operating a motor vehicle and make sure you are focused on what's really important - **your safety**!
21 |
22 |
23 | ## Tools
24 | - Microsoft Teams
25 | - Office
26 |
27 | ## Checklist for your commute
28 | - Transfer a call to your mobile device
29 | - Join a meeting or have a 1:1 call in Microsoft Teams
30 | - Connect to Office 365 from your mobile device
31 |
32 | ## Transfer a call to your mobile device
33 | If you're on a call in Microsoft Teams and need to get going straight away, it's possible for you to transfer the call to your mobile telephone. This allows us to continue your conversation without interruption even when you have to leave your desk, but it doesn't allow us to see or share the presentation. As transferring a call to your telephone sends the conversation over the normal telephone network, there might be charges associated with this.
34 |
35 | ## Join a meeting or have a 1:1 call in Microsoft Teams
36 | Using the mobile app for Microsoft Teams you can view your calendar of events. If a meeting was scheduled with Microsoft Teams you will see a "Join" button in the mobile app. You will be connected to the meeting using your mobile network. Normal functions such as mute, speaker and chat will function. Viewing content may be disabled depending on your connection. You can also navigate to someone from your contact list in Teams and place a 1:1 call with them directly.
37 |
38 | ## Connect to Office 365 from your mobile device
39 | [Office 365 apps](https://support.office.com/article/set-up-office-apps-and-email-on-a-mobile-device-7dabb6cb-0046-40b6-81fe-767e0b1f014f?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US) are available for all major platforms, and you can use them to access all our files located on SharePoint Online sites or OneDrive for Business. If your organization uses two factor authentication you may need to authenticate by phone or with the authentication app, which needs to be set up in advance.
40 |
41 | > [!NOTE]
42 | > Be aware that using online features on your phone may incur costs if you are using the mobile network. For the best experience and to ensure that you don't incur any extra costs, you should use Wi-Fi wherever possible.

13 | # Connecting Across the Company
14 |
15 |
16 |
17 | It's been a busy day, but before you leave the office you want to ensure that all the people interested in your work are informed about what is happening. Making sure that all your stakeholders--inside and outside of your team--understand your goals, progress, and results is an important part of what you do.
18 |
19 | ## Tools
20 | - SharePoint
21 | - Viva Engage
22 | - Outlook
23 | - Microsoft Teams
24 |
25 | ## Checklist for communicating across the company
26 | - Understand your audience and their existing communication methods
27 | - Target your key messages by persona, for example, project stakeholder, team member, or employee
28 | - Select communication tools that compliment each other, for example, author a post on your Viva Engage community and send an alert via e-mail
29 | - Coauthor your information with others on your team
30 | - Publish your information and send a notification to all of your interested parties
31 |
32 | ## Select your communication method
33 | Use the information below to decide the best way to communicate with your team. Balance using new technology with traditional email announcements while people transition to new communications methods. Having a consistent communication approach is an effective way to drive awareness and organizational change.
34 |
35 | **Viva Engage**: You can drive conversation across a broad group of people by using Viva Engage to share your updates. Post a standard update or use the Announcement feature to ensure a copy of your update goes to each member's mailbox.
36 |
37 |
38 |
39 | **SharePoint**: If you want to reach people outside of your working group, consider writing a brief news article on your charter and progress that is readily available and kept for the life of your project in SharePoint online. Use a modern page in a SharePoint team site, or for larger programs, consider creating a SharePoint communication site.
40 |
41 | SharePoint communication sites provide visual and flexible news articles that allow you to embed images, dashboards, and text together. Information is then available via any browser or through the SharePoint mobile app. This video provides a quick overview of what these powerful sites can do. To ensure the best visibility pin the communication site as a tab for your working group in Microsoft Teams.
42 |
43 |
44 |
45 | **Microsoft Teams**: If this broad group of people is already a part of your working group in Microsoft Teams why not post a note in your General channel with key facts and a link to a Wiki page for your longer update. Wiki pages can be coauthored by multiple people and persist over the life of that team.
46 |
47 |
48 |
49 | ## Tip to Modernize Your Communication
50 |
51 | **For your email-centric colleagues**: Subscribe them to alerts from either your Viva Engage group or your SharePoint news feed. This way they will get a notification in their email that you've published new information and can then click through to your source information without you having to create a separate email. Want to get snazzy? Customize the notification with Microsoft Flow or PowerApps. Consider having a brownbag to show these users how to use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Viva Engage on their mobile devices.
52 |
53 | **Get people talking!** Encourage engagement by turning on comments for your SharePoint communication site pages. If you are using Viva Engage ensure that people participate in your community by monitoring it regularly for questions that you can answer.
54 |
55 | **Share externally**: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Viva Engage all support external sharing if your administrator allows that in your instance of Office 365. By using external sharing you can share your updates with people who work for partners, suppliers and of course, your customers.

13 | # Meeting at the Office
14 |
15 |
16 |
17 | It's 10:00 AM and time for your meeting. In this section, we show you how to make your meetings more productive. This involves best practices for meeting preparation and Office 365 tools.
18 |
19 | ## Tools
20 | - Outlook
21 | - Microsoft Teams
22 | - Skype for Business
23 | - OneNote
24 |
25 | ## Checklist for your meeting
26 | - Plan and book your meeting
27 | - Join a meeting
28 | - Present information in a meeting
29 | - Use OneNote in a meeting for co-creation and notes
30 | - Use Planner in a meeting to track action items for that project
31 | - End a meeting
32 |
33 | ## Plan and book your meeting
34 | There are a few things you can do to ensure your meeting is as productive as possible:
35 |
36 | 1. **Do you need a meeting?** Consider sharing a file in chat with the necessary approvers first.
37 | 1. **Have a clear agenda.** Include your meeting agenda in the notes section of your online meeting invitation so attendees can be prepared.
38 | 1. **Record your meeting** Use meeting recording functions in Microsoft Teams to share the meeting with people who couldn't attend or to transcribe notes later.
39 |
40 | Now you're ready to book that meeting: Book the meeting with Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business details in Outlook. Doing so enables you to include team members from different locations, record the meeting and utilize video (when available) to enhance communication.
41 |
42 |
43 |
44 | ## Join a meeting
45 | Join from anywhere. It's possible to join a Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business meeting from anywhere using a mobile device, either by calling the dial-in number in the meeting details or using the mobile apps. When using the mobile apps, be conscious of mobile data usage limits that apply to you or your country/region.
46 |
47 |
48 |
49 | > [!TIP]
50 | > **Use a headset.** If you are connecting from your computer at your desk, use a headset rather than your computer's built-in microphone and speakers to ensure a better call quality.
51 |
52 | > [!TIP]
53 | > Turn on your video! When cameras are available, it's worth using them, as face-to-face communication provides non-verbal cues that can be missed when just using voice. Don't worry, your hair looks great.
54 |
55 | ## Present information in a meeting
56 | Sharing content from your device is a great way to focus your meeting and provide context to the discussion. In general, sharing your entire screen can be a bad idea. It means that everything that comes up on your screen appears on the screens of everyone attending the meeting. Avoid this by selecting the content you want to share in Microsoft Teams.
57 |
58 | ## Use OneNote in a meeting
59 | OneNote can allow for real-time collaboration and co-creation, making it an ideal tool for brainstorming and note taking in meetings. As long as everyone has access to the location where the OneNote is shared, you can post a link to the notebook and start brainstorming right away.
60 |
61 | You can create a specific section for meeting notes in the team notebook. You can also use the "meeting details" functionality in OneNote to create pages with a summary of the details of the meeting.
62 |
63 | ## Use Planner in a meeting
64 | Directly adding action items into a plan for your project saves you from transcribing them after the fact. It's a best practice in large project meetings to assign someone to action tracking & note taking. This is normally a different person than the individual running the meeting. Action item reminders are sent directly to the individual to whom it's assigned as are reminders if the item passes its due date.
65 |
66 |
67 |
68 | ## End a meeting
69 | When everything on the agenda has been discussed, end the meeting, regardless of the time. Assign and send action items to all participants. If you're collaborating in Microsoft Teams, you can easily share action items in the appropriate channel. Action items can also be entered and assigned in Planner during the meeting, providing a fast way to track for completion, which can also be [accessed in Microsoft Teams](https://support.office.com/article/use-planner-in-microsoft-teams-62798a9f-e8f7-4722-a700-27dd28a06ee0).

33 | Microsoft 365 learning pathways is an open source project supported through our [online issues list](https://aka.ms/CustomLearningHelp) on GitHub. The learning pathways solution and its components aren't covered by any existing Microsoft support contract.
34 |
35 | ## Additional Resources
36 | You can use the Microsoft 365 learning pathways site to provide links to any new or existing user community forums. Consider starting an internal user group, if you don't have one already, to enable people to share their success and learn from each other. If you don't have time to nurture an internal user group, you and your employees can join the [Microsoft 365 Champion community](https://aka.ms/O365Champions) for monthly training, membership in the online community, and early access to tools and resources for Microsoft 365.

13 | # How to hide and show Playlists
14 |
15 | To tailor learning pathways for your environment, you may need to hide playlists provided by Microsoft and replace them with playlists that you create for your organization. For example, a common customer use case is to hide the Six Simple Steps playlist from Microsoft and replace it with a playlist that you create for your organization or user group.
16 |
17 | ## Hide a playlist
18 |
19 | 1. From the learning pathways **Home** page, click the **Office 365 training** tile.
20 | 2. From the learning pathways web part, select the **System** menu, then select **Administer Playlist**. You should now have two tabs open: One with the **learning pathways Administration** page; and one with the **Office 365 training** page.
21 | 3. From the **Custom Learning Administration** page, under **Category**, select a subcategory, and then select the eyeball for a playlist to hide it. For this example, click the **First Days** subcategory, and then hide the **Six Simple Steps** playlist.
22 |
23 |
24 |
25 | ### Verify the playlist is hidden
26 | - To verify the playlist is hidden, select the browser tab with the **Get Started with Office 365** page loaded, and then refresh the page. You should now see the **First Days** subcategory and **Six Simple Steps** is hidden. In this case, there is only one playlist in the subcategory and it's hidden, so learning pathways also hides the subcategory rather than display an empty subcategory.
27 |
28 |
29 |
30 | ## Unhide a playlist
31 |
32 | - From the **Custom Learning Administration** page, under **Category**, select a subcategory, select a playlist, and then select the eyeball for the hidden playlist to unhide it. For this example, unhide the **Six Simple Steps** playlist under the **First Days** subcategory.

13 | # Webpart default content
14 |
15 | ## The Playlist Model
16 |
17 | Our webpart uses a familiar playlist model to organize the content. This model is simple for your end users to understand and for you to customize should you choose to. Customization isn't required. Our out of the box experience provides you with effective training content based on our extensive research.
18 |
19 | These playlists are designed to help organizations tailor the learning experience for users and present them with easy-to-consume playlists to teach them new, and more productive behaviors. The served content from Support.Office.com, and the assets are short and sweet, with peppy, engaging videos.
20 |
21 | Each tile represents either an individual featured playlist or a content category. Clicking on any playlist or category tile quickly navigates the user into the selected area. The following graphic shows both featured lists under "Get Started Playlist" and Office 365 App categories like Excel, Microsoft Teams and others.
22 |
23 |
24 |
25 | Clicking the Excel category, for instance, navigates them to a collection of playlists. They can watch content in order or select what interests them based on their learning needs.
26 |

31 |
32 |
33 | ## Next Steps
34 |
35 | - Browse and familiarize yourself with the existing content
36 | - Hide and show Playlists [customize playlists](custom_hideshowplaylists.md)
