With the local economy being a bit sluggish, you want to boost your social media marketing efforts to help increase sales. You want to use Microsoft 365 Copilot to help tailor your marketing strategy, with the goal of increasing your online engagements and customer reach. Your strategy consists of the following two-pronged approach: 4 | 5 | - You want to use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word to create engaging content for your blog and social media. 6 | - You want to use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel to analyze customer feedback and engagement data to help identify trends and insights. 7 | 8 | You contracted with a local marketing firm to capture customer feedback and engagement data, which they stored in an Excel spreadsheet. Select the following link to download the Excel file containing this data: [Liberty's Delightful Sinful Bakery & Cafe - Customer feedback](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269125). Use this spreadsheet to identify trends and insights. 9 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /_build.yml: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | name: '$(Date:yyyyMMdd)$(Rev:.rr)' 2 | jobs: 3 | - job: build_markdown_content 4 | displayName: 'Build Markdown Content' 5 | workspace: 6 | clean: all 7 | pool: 8 | vmImage: 'Ubuntu 16.04' 9 | container: 10 | image: 'microsoftlearning/markdown-build:latest' 11 | steps: 12 | - task: Bash@3 13 | displayName: 'Build Content' 14 | inputs: 15 | targetType: inline 16 | script: | 17 | cp /{attribution.md,template.docx,package.json,package.js} . 18 | npm install 19 | node package.js --version $(Build.BuildNumber) 20 | - task: GitHubRelease@0 21 | displayName: 'Create GitHub Release' 22 | inputs: 23 | gitHubConnection: 'github-microsoftlearning-organization' 24 | repositoryName: '$(Build.Repository.Name)' 25 | tagSource: manual 26 | tag: 'v$(Build.BuildNumber)' 27 | title: 'Version $(Build.BuildNumber)' 28 | releaseNotesSource: input 29 | releaseNotes: '# Version $(Build.BuildNumber) Release' 30 | assets: '$(Build.SourcesDirectory)/out/*.zip' 31 | assetUploadMode: replace 32 | - task: PublishBuildArtifacts@1 33 | displayName: 'Publish Output Files' 34 | inputs: 35 | pathtoPublish: '$(Build.SourcesDirectory)/out/' 36 | artifactName: 'Lab Files' 37 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Demos/DEMO_deploying_an_arm_template.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | demo: 3 | title: 'Demo: Deploying an ARM Template' 4 | module: 'Module 1: Exploring Azure Resource Manager' 5 | --- 6 | 7 | # Demo: Deploying an ARM Template 8 | 9 | ## Instructions 10 | 11 | 1. We are publishing the lab instructions and lab files on GitHub to allow for open contributions between the course authors and MCTs (Microsoft Certified Trainer) to keep the content current with product changes. 8 | 9 | - We hope this brings a sense of collaboration to the labs like we have never had before - when a Microsoft service such as Azure or Microsoft 365 changes and you find it first during a live delivery, go ahead and make an enhancement right in the lab source. Help your fellow MCTs. 10 | 11 | ## How should I use this repository?? 12 | 13 | - The instructor materials are your primary source for teaching the course content. 14 | 15 | - These files on GitHub are designed to be used in the course labs, which use the hosted lab environment. 16 | 17 | - It is recommended that for every delivery, trainers check GitHub for any changes that may have been made to support the latest Microsoft cloud services and get the latest files for their delivery. 18 | 19 | ## What about changes to the student handbook? 20 | 21 | - We will review the student handbook on a quarterly basis and update through the normal MOC (Microsoft Official Curriculum) release channels as needed. 22 | 23 | ## How do I contribute? 24 | 25 | - Any MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) can submit a pull request to the code or content in the GitHub repro. Microsoft and the course author will then triage and include content and lab code changes as needed. 26 | 27 | - You can submit bugs, changes, improvement, and ideas. Find a new Azure or Microsoft 365 feature before we have? Submit a new demo! 28 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M11-empower-workforce-copilot-challenge/2-create-interview-questions.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Create interview questions using different Copilots 2 | --- 3 | One of the popular features of Microsoft 365 Copilot is that you can often use different Copilots to complete the same function. This exercise is a perfect example of that flexibility. 4 | 5 | As the HR Manager at the Graphic Design Institute, you used Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word to compare resumes for a new Senior Animation Designer role. In this exercise, you continue on that hiring journey by using Microsoft 365 Copilot to develop a set of interview questions that you can use when interviewing the top candidates for this Senior Animation Designer role. 6 | 7 | However, you discover that you can use Copilot in three different Microsoft 365 apps to create interview questions. As such, you plan to conduct a little experiment in which you compare the quality of the interview questions generated by the three copilots to determine which one provides the best questions. And as a by-product, you get a list of the top 15 questions to ask. 8 | 9 | You should begin by having Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop, Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat at Microsoft365.com/copilot, and Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word create a set of 15 questions each. 10 | 11 | > [!TIP] 12 | > If any of the Copilots generate extra comments to go along with each question, ask it to keep its response to just the questions. 13 | 14 | You should then copy and paste the 15 questions generated by each Copilot tool into a single Word document, giving you a total pool of 45 questions. From that document, you'll then have Copilot in Word compare those 45 questions and select the top 15 from the pool. For each question that Copilot recommends, have it identify the source of the question, whether it be Copilot in Word, Copilot in Loop, or Copilot Chat. And then from the final list of 15 questions, ask Copilot in Word to display the total number of questions generated by Copilot in Loop, Copilot Chat, and Copilot in Word. 15 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /.github/CONTRIBUTING.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Contributing to Microsoft Learning Repositories 2 | 3 | MCT contributions are a key part of keeping the lab and demo content current as the Azure platform changes. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to contribute changes to the lab files. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind as you contribute changes. 4 | 5 | ## GitHub Use & Purpose 6 | 7 | Microsoft Learning is using GitHub to publish the lab steps and lab scripts for courses that cover cloud services like Azure. Using GitHub allows the course’s authors and MCTs to keep the lab content current with Azure platform changes. Using GitHub allows the MCTs to provide feedback and suggestions for lab changes, and then the course authors can update lab steps and scripts quickly and relatively easily. 8 | 9 | > When you prepare to teach these courses, you should ensure that you are using the latest lab steps and scripts by downloading the appropriate files from GitHub. GitHub should not be used to discuss technical content in the course, or how to prep. It should only be used to address changes in the labs. 10 | 11 | It is strongly recommended that MCTs and Partners access these materials and in turn, provide them separately to students. Pointing students directly to GitHub to access Lab steps as part of an ongoing class will require them to access yet another UI as part of the course, contributing to a confusing experience for the student. An explanation to the student regarding why they are receiving separate Lab instructions can highlight the nature of an always-changing cloud-based interface and platform. Microsoft Learning support for accessing files on GitHub and support for navigation of the GitHub site is limited to MCTs teaching this course only. 12 | 13 | > As an alternative to pointing students directly to the GitHub repository, you can point students to the GitHub Pages website to view the lab instructions. The URL for the GitHub Pages website can be found at the top of the repository. 14 | 15 | To address general comments about the course and demos, or how to prepare for a course delivery, please use the existing MCT forums. 16 | 17 | ## Additional Resources 18 | 19 | A user guide has been provided for MCTs who are new to GitHub. It provides steps for connecting to GitHub, downloading and printing course materials, updating the scripts that students use in labs, and explaining how you can help ensure that this course’s content remains current. 20 | 21 | 22 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M11-empower-workforce-copilot-challenge/1-introduction.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Lab Setup: 2 | 3 | In this module, we'll create prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot that reference files. This occurs because certain Copilot experiences only reference files from the **Most Recently Used (MRU)** list, while others let you browse **OneDrive** directly. To ensure a file appears in the **MRU** list, simply open it in the relevant Microsoft 365 app, and it will be added automatically. 28 | 29 | > [!IMPORTANT] 30 | > Microsoft 365 Copilot can only work with files saved to **OneDrive**. Files stored locally on your PC will need to be moved to **OneDrive** for Copilot to access them. 31 | 32 | As you progress through the module, you’ll have opportunities to try various prompts on these files. Feel free to experiment with different approaches to enhance your skills with Copilot. 33 | # Introduction 34 | --- 35 | Up to this point, you've completed Use Case training exercises that provided step-by-step instructions on how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot to solve various business scenarios. Additionally, each exercise used only a single Microsoft 365 Copilot app. In this module, you must attempt to complete similar business scenarios, but in a more challenging environment (hence the module name - Challenge Use Case). 36 | 37 | In this module, the exercises only include the business scenario. There's no further training content supporting the Copilot apps that are used, and the exercise doesn't include step-by-step instructions. Plus, each exercise uses multiple Microsoft 365 copilots rather than just one. 38 | 39 | With the experience that you gained in the prior seven Use Case modules using Microsoft 365 Copilot, you're now ready to remove the training wheels and see how you do working with Copilot without any supervision. There are no time limits, and no right or wrong results. Remember, Copilot is your Microsoft 365 assistant. Use these training opportunities to expand your Copilot knowledge and to envision how it can help you in your real-world business environment. And most of all - Enjoy! 40 | 41 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M07-empower-workforce-copilot-operations/1-introduction.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Lab Setup: 2 | 3 | In this module, we'll create prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot that reference files. It allows Sales professionals to create, share, and jointly work on content with their teams in real-time. Loop is built on Microsoft 365 and integrates with other Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, and Teams. 5 | 6 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop is an AI assistant that can help you with brainstorming, content drafting, and more. It can enhance productivity in various applications by doing things like draft texts, create tables, generate code for tech projects, and even quickly answer questions. 7 | 8 | In this training exercise, you use Copilot in Loop to research a potential new sales market for your company's products and create a market research report that outlines its findings. You then ask it to change the format of the report by placing the content in a table. You also ask it to make a final recommendation as to whether your company should move into that market. 9 | 10 | ### Exercise 11 | 12 | You're the VP of Sales for VanArsdel Ltd. VanArsdel is an OEM of plastic components, whose primary market is the agriculture equipment industry. However, senior leadership is interested in possibly moving into the automotive market. Given the heavy competition from existing plastic manufacturers who already monopolize this sector, you need to determine if there's a space available for VanArsdel to become a viable player. You want to use Copilot in Loop to research the automotive market to determine if there's room for VanArsdel to be successful should it decide to make this move. 13 | 14 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **Loop** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and on the **Apps** page, select **Loop**. 15 | 1. In **Microsoft Loop**, the **Workspaces** tab is displayed by default. You want to create a new workspace for this project, so select the **Create new** (plus sign) icon in the navigation pane, and then select **New workspace**. 16 | 1. In the **Create a new workspace** window, enter **VanArsdel research** for your workspace name, and then select either the **Continue** or **Create** button that appears (depending on your Loop version). 17 | 1. You're now on the first page for your new workspace. The name of the page is currently **Untitled**. Note the page (Untitled) also appears in the middle navigation pane. In the main body of the page, select in the **Untitled** field and change the name of the page to **Market research**. Note how the page name is automatically updated in the middle navigation pane. 18 | 1. In the **Just start typing...** field, enter a forward slash **(/)**. 19 | 1. In the drop-down menu that appears, under the **Copilot** section at the top of the menu, select **Draft page content**. 20 | 1. In the **Copilot** window that appears, note the row of buttons that appears below the prompt field. Select each button (**Create**, **Brainstorm**, **Blueprint**, and **Describe**). When doing so, note how it prefills the prompt field with an example of the type of task that Copilot can assist with. 21 | 1. Rather than using any of these predefined prompts, you're instead going to enter your own prompt. In the prompt field, enter the following prompt and select the **Submit** (forward arrow) icon: **As the VP for Sales for an OEM in the plastics manufacturing industry, please research the market for plastic components in the automotive industry. Provide information on target audience, market size, competition, trends, regulations, and distribution channels**. 22 | > [!NOTE] 23 | > If you receive an error saying that something went wrong, copy and paste in the prior prompt and submit it again. 24 | 1. Review the generated report. Rather than having all the information in paragraph form, you prefer to summarize it in a table. In the **Copilot** window that appears, enter the following prompt in the **Rewrite with Copilot** field and select the **Submit** icon: **Rewrite the report by placing the information in a table**. 25 | 1. Note how Copilot changed the formatting of the report. You now want Copilot to make a final recommendation as to whether moving into this market is a viable option for VanArsdel. Enter the following prompt: **Add a recommendation to the end of the report as to whether we should move into the market**. 26 | 1. Scroll to the bottom of the report and review Copilot's recommendation. 27 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M06-empower-workforce-copilot-hr/1-introduction.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Lab Setup: 2 | 3 | In this module, we'll create prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot that reference files. In this exercise, you open a file that contains a table with five years of financial results for a company, and you ask Copilot in Word to summarize the financial results that appear in the table. 4 | 5 | Whereas the prior exercise created a report for you based on a file you attached to the prompt, this exercise displays a summation within the Copilot pane of a file that you opened. It's up to you whether you want to copy and paste the results into the document. The purpose of this exercise is to show the flexibility of Copilot in Word in how it can review and summarize documents - in this case, documents containing financial results. 6 | 7 | ### Exercise 8 | 9 | As the CFO for Adatum Corporation, a U.S. plastics manufacturer, you're interested in analyzing the company's financial performance for the past five years. You want to determine if Adatum's financial performance is improving or getting worse. You have a multi-part strategy for performing this analysis: 10 | 11 | - You want to identify trends and patterns. 12 | - You want to steer the company in the right direction and ensure it remains financially viable and capable of meeting its operating objectives. 13 | - You want to gauge performance by evaluating the percentage increase or decrease of expenses and sales, which enable you to measure operating performance and adjust your strategies. 14 | 15 | To complete this task, you open a Word document prepared by your accounting team that provides a financial summary of the company's annual performance over the past five years. You then use Copilot in Word to summarize the company's performance during that time. 16 | 17 | 1. Select the following link to download the [Adatum 5 Year Financial Results](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268923). 18 | 1. Once the download is complete, open **File Explorer** and move the file from your **Downloads** folder to a folder in your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 19 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, select the **Word** icon in the navigation pane on the left. If the icon doesn't appear, select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and then select **Word** from the **Apps** page. 20 | 1. In **Microsoft Word**, open the **Adatum 5 Year Financial Results.docx** file that you downloaded and moved to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 21 | 1. On the **Microsoft Word** ribbon, select **Copilot**. 22 | 1. In the **Copilot** pane that appears, several predefined tasks appear towards the top. You want Copilot to summarize the contents of the Adatum 5 Year Financial Results document, so select the **Summarize this doc** tile. 23 | 1. Review the results. In doing so, you would like to see Word add more details to support the summation that it provides for each area. You can either request that it do so in a prompt, or you can take advantage of the predefined tasks that Word displays above the prompt field. If an **Include more details in the summary** prompt appears, then select it now. Otherwise, enter this request in the prompt field: **Include more details in the summary.** 24 | 1. Once Copilot finishes regenerating a new summary with more details, review the results. Compare the previous summary to the current one. Notice how Copilot displayed specific financial metrics from the report to support its summation in each area. 25 | 1. Select the **Refresh** icon that appears above the prompt field. If a **Highlight the key financial challenges** prompt appears, then select it now. Otherwise, enter the following prompt: **Highlight the key financial challenges.** 26 | 1. While you're satisfied with the summary, you want to see a definitive statement on how the company has been performing over the past five years. Enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Based on the information in this document, how would you rate Adatum's financial performance over the past five years? Is it getting better or worse?** 27 | 1. Review the results. You now want to see if there are any poorly performing areas that need attention. Enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Is there any area that's performing poorly that should be addressed?** 28 | 1. Review the results. You used Copilot to analyze the company's prior five years of financial results. You also identified the areas of your operation that you must focus on to improve the company's profitability. 29 | 1. You want to retain this summation into the current document that's open in Word. Place your cursor a couple of lines below the "Where N = Current year" line in the document. This line is the point at which you want Copilot to insert the summary. In the Copilot pane, scroll up to the window showing the complete summation that contains the detailed metrics. At the bottom of that window, select the **Insert** button. 30 | 1. Repeat the previous step for both the window that indicates whether the company is doing better or worse, and the window that shows the area that needs improvement. You have now captured all the information in the document for future reference. 31 | 1. You don't use this document in any further exercises. Close the tab in your Microsoft Edge browser containing this Word document. 32 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M03-empower-workforce-copilot-it/1-introduction.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Lab Setup: 2 | 3 | In this module, we'll create prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot that reference files. As executives navigate the vast ocean of information, Microsoft Teams emerges as a powerful tool they can use to streamline their communication experience. Within Teams, Copilot empowers you with a quick and efficient overview of key discussions, ensuring that you stay informed without being overwhelmed. 5 | 6 | When you think of Microsoft Teams, you typically think of Teams' chat. However, when you use Microsoft 365 Copilot, the Copilot experience in Teams can focus not only on your chat experience, but also on your email and meeting data from Outlook. It does so through two Copilot features that are available in Teams: 7 | 8 | - **Microsoft 365 Copilot in Teams**. This Copilot feature accesses the specific chat thread that you have open. However, it doesn't access organizational data outside of Teams. When you open a chat thread, select the **Copilot** icon in the upper-right corner of your chat page to open the **Copilot** pane for that thread. Copilot in Teams helps you quickly get up-to-speed and synthesize key information across all your Teams chat threads. By default, Copilot retrieves information from the chat thread that is up to 30 days old when you open a chat thread in Teams. You can ask Copilot to search beyond that 30 day mark if necessary. 9 | - **Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in Teams**. This Copilot feature accesses both your Teams' Chat experiences AND your email and meetings from Outlook. It uses the Graph-grounded chat experience that's included in your Microsoft 365 Copilot license or pay-as-you-go (metered) billing plan to access your Teams and Outlook data. To use this feature, select the **Copilot** option that appears in the Teams navigation pane. Doing so opens the Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat page within Teams. 10 | 11 | The focus of this exercise is on Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in Teams, which accesses your Teams and Outlook data. It's designed to streamline various aspects of your work in Microsoft Teams by working alongside users and providing suggestions and recommendations based on the context of their work. For example, it can help you: 12 | 13 | - Quickly recap past communications (for example, "What's new from Emily?"). 14 | - Summarize long threads in a chat window into key points. 15 | - Answer queries to help you stay updated (for example, "Who am I meeting with tomorrow?"). 16 | 17 | > [!NOTE] 18 | > This course doesn't include a Microsoft 365 lab tenant with fictitious data. Instead, you must complete this training exercise using your own personal data. 19 | 20 | In this training exercise scenario, you plan to use Copilot Chat in Teams to summarize the emails, meetings, and chats regarding an actual topic in your work environment. When Copilot Chat synthesizes your data in this manner, it reaches across your Microsoft 365 tenant to gather this information. 21 | 22 | ### Exercise 23 | 24 | Think of an actual project that you participated in over the past 30 days. Amidst countless emails, meetings, and virtual discussions, you find yourself in need of a comprehensive summary of all communications related to this critical initiative. Copilot Chat in Teams is the perfect tool to synthesize all your communication history and provide a concise recap of all activity. 25 | 26 | With a simple command, you instruct the platform to collate and distill the essence of your emails and chats pertaining to the project over the past month. In doing so, note how the tool effortlessly sifts through the information clutter. It then presents you with a concise summary that not only captures the progress made but also highlights any key decisions, challenges, and emerging trends. This exercise exemplifies how using Copilot Chat in Teams can save you valuable time while ensuring you stay well-informed and in control of the crucial aspects of your business endeavors. 27 | 28 | Perform the following steps to direct Copilot Chat in Teams to synthesize your communications for a specific topic: 29 | 30 | 1. In **Microsoft Teams**, select **Copilot** in the navigation pane that appears on the left-side of the window. Doing so opens the **Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat** window within Teams. 31 | 1. In the **Copilot Chat** window, enter the following text in the prompt at the bottom of the page (replace "topic of your choice" with an actual project name or topic that you participated in at your organization):

**Summarize all my emails, meetings, and chats over the past 30 days related to {topic of your choice}**. 32 | 1. After Copilot responds with a summary of each communication, note the prompts that appear above the main prompt field at the bottom of the page. Copilot generated these prompts based on the summarized list of data that it returned. For example, you may see prompts such as: 33 | - "List any action items for me" 34 | - "Provide more details on the meeting with {person's name}" 35 | - "Summarize the key decisions from these communications" 36 | - "Draft an email to the team about the project participation" 37 | 38 | Select one of the Copilot-generated prompts to see how Copilot Chat in Teams responds. After you review the response, note how the Copilot-generated prompts change based on the prompt that you just submitted. 39 | 40 | Note the iterative nature of this design. As you continue submitting Copilot-generated prompts, each response includes a new set of prompts associated with the data that Copilot returned. This design enables you to continue digging deeper into the communication history of the project while also requesting that Copilot perform specific tasks in follow-up, such as emailing a person or team, identifying deadlines, and so on. 41 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M04-empower-workforce-copilot-marketing/1-introduction.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Lab Setup: 2 | 3 | In this module, we'll create prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot that reference files. It understands context, suggests phrases, and helps generate content, all of which can enhance the quality of your work. The exercises in this Use Case module are designed to help Marketing professionals build the following skills: 48 | 49 | - Use Microsoft 365 Business Chat to analyze market trends, provide sales forecasts, and identify new sales opportunities. 50 | - Use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop to generate marketing campaign ideas for a new product line. 51 | - Use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word to consolidate three product marketing reports into a single Market Analysis report. 52 | - Use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel to analyze market trends in a spreadsheet. 53 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M03-empower-workforce-copilot-it/2-create-project-plan.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | Create a project plan using Microsoft 365 Business Chat 3 | --- 4 | Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat can revolutionize the way IT professionals collaborate and communicate in the digital workspace. It seamlessly integrates into Microsoft 365 and offers a robust platform for IT professionals to enhance teamwork, share insights, and accelerate problem-solving within the IT ecosystem. 5 | 6 | Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat serves as a central hub for real-time collaboration. It enables IT professionals to connect instantly, share information, and coordinate efforts efficiently. From the Copilot Chat page, you can ask questions about content in your OneDrive or SharePoint files. Copilot can access and reference those documents to provide context-aware answers, summaries, or insights. This powerful tool enables streamlined communication, breaking down silos and fostering a collaborative environment where IT teams can collectively address challenges and share valuable expertise. 7 | 8 | This training exercise uses Copilot Chat to create a project plan to install a network security product. You begin by asking Copilot to analyze a product specification report for a new network security product that you plan to install. You then ask it to update the project plan with information from the product spec report. 9 | 10 | ### Exercise 11 | 12 | As the Director of IT at Adatum Corporation, you've been reviewing a product specification report for the Contoso CipherGuard Sentinel X7 network security product. You plan to install this product, which provides advanced security protection that is far beyond anything Adatum has today. However, given the complexity of your corporate network, you want to create a project plan to guide the implementation. As such, you want Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to create a project plan based on IT industry guidelines for installing network security components. You then want Copilot Chat to analyze the product spec report and incorporate its requirements into the project plan. 13 | 14 | Perform the following steps to create your project plan using Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat: 15 | 16 | 1. Select the following link to download a copy of the [Contoso CipherGuard Product Specification report](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269123) to your **Downloads** folder. 17 | 1. In **Microsoft Edge**, navigate to Microsoft Copilot by entering the following URL: **https://www.office.com** 18 | 1. On the **Microsoft Copilot** home page, select **Copilot** in the navigation pane. Doing so opens **Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat**. 19 | 1. On the **Copilot Chat** page, a **Work/Web** toggle switch may appear at the top of the page depending on your Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing. If the toggle switch doesn't appear, then Copilot Chat only accesses public Web content. However, if the toggle switch appears, then you can use it to direct Copilot to access either your Microsoft 365 data or public web data. By default, the **Work** option limits Copilot's reach to your Microsoft 365 organizational data. In comparison, the **Web** option enables Copilot to access web content (such as up-to-date information from the internet) for real-time data. It doesn't access your Microsoft 365 data directly unless it's specifically part of a query that involves your work-related content. Since you want Copilot to access the public web guidelines on installing a corporate network security product, select the **Web** option if the Work/Web toggle switch appears. 20 | 1. You're now ready to use Copilot. Enter the following prompt and then select the **Submit** arrow icon in the corner of the prompt field: **I'm the Director of IT at Adatum Corporation. Create a project plan for installing a new network security product into a corporate network. Base this plan on IT industry guidelines for installing network security products**. 21 | 1. Review the project plan that Copilot created. You aren't satisfied that it encompasses all the areas that it should. Enter the following prompt to have it amend its plan by including areas of specific interest to you. If any of the areas included in this prompt are already in Copilot's previous response, then remove them from this prompt so that Copilot doesn't duplicate them: **While that was a good start, I feel like it's missing important areas. Please add the following items to the existing list: testing and QA, training, communication, document and reporting, stakeholder analysis, project timeline, and risk assessment and mitigation**. 22 | 1. Review the amended project plan. You're happy with the breadth of topics covered, so now you want Copilot to update the plan with information from the product spec for the Contoso CipherGuard Sentinel X7 security product. Enter the following prompt, **but don't submit it yet** as you must first link the file to the prompt in the next step: **This version looks better. Please review the attached file, which is a product specification for the Contoso CipherGuard Sentinel X7 security product, and update your project plan with information from this product spec**. 23 | 1. In the prompt field, select the **Add content** button. In the File explorer window that appears, navigate to your **Downloads** folder containing the **Contoso CipherGuard Product Specification** file, select the file, and then select the **Open** button to attach the file to the prompt. Select the **Submit** icon to submit the prompt. 24 | 1. Review how Copilot inserted features from the product spec into the project plan. While this looks good, you feel that the project plan is lacking in specific details. To address this issue, enter the following prompt: **We're almost there. Please break down each item on the report into multiple detailed steps**. 25 | 1. Review the results. Now that the project plan is created, you can optionally save it to a Word document for future reference. While you can copy and paste the contents into a Word document, you can also have Copilot do it for you. You like the idea of Copilot doing the work, so enter the following prompt: **Create a Word (.docx) file that contains the detailed project plan**. 26 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M02-empower-workforce-copilot-sales/5-compare-supplier-agreements.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | # Compare supplier agreements using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 3 | --- 4 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word is an AI assistant that can help Sales professionals work more efficiently and effectively. With Copilot in Word, salespeople can create, edit, and summarize documents with ease. It can also help them personalize customer interactions and streamline their workflow with AI support. 5 | 6 | Copilot in Word can help salespeople build strong relationships with their customers, take actions based on insights, and close deals faster. It can also help salespeople transform text into tables or provide suggestions for ways to rewrite content. Copilot in Word can copy specific information from other documents and paste it into your content, generate summaries, ask questions about your document, and even provide ideas about specific topics. 7 | 8 | In this training exercise, you provide Copilot in Word with three supplier agreement documents. You then ask it to create a report that compares the terms and conditions negotiated with each customer. You also ask Copilot to provide recommendations for renegotiating each agreement. 9 | 10 | During this exercise, notice how easy it is to have Copilot regenerate a new version of the report. Each version is created in Copilot as a draft. When you're not satisfied with one draft, you can just select a **Regenerate** button to have Copilot create a different draft of the document, all within a matter of seconds. 11 | 12 | ### Exercise 13 | 14 | You're the new Sales Manager for Northwind Traders, a supplier of various grocery and beverage products. You're concerned about the supplier agreements that are currently in place with several of Northwind's top customers. Your predecessor negotiated these agreements, so you aren't familiar with the terms and conditions that were previously agreed upon with these customers. You plan to use Copilot in Word to compare the supplier agreements and create a report that compares the results and provides recommendations for future agreements. 15 | 16 | To access the supplier agreements, you must first download the files and then copy them to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. Copilot can only access files in a OneDrive folder. In this exercise, you access the files in Copilot by selecting them from the Most Recently Used (MRU) list. For the files to appear in the MRU list, you must open and close each one. 17 | 18 | Perform the following steps to generate your speech using Copilot in Word: 19 | 20 | 1. Select the following links to download the three supplier agreements: 21 | - [Contoso Supplier Agreement](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268925) 22 | - [Tailwind Traders Supplier Agreement](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269128) 23 | - [Wide World Importers Supplier Agreement](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268931) 24 | 1. Once the downloads are complete, open **File Explorer** and copy the files from your **Downloads** folder to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 25 | 1. In this exercise, you access the documents from the Most Recently Used file list. To get the files to appear in the MRU list, open each document and then close it. Open and close each of the three files in your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 26 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, open **Microsoft Word** and then open a blank document. 27 | 1. In the **Copilot** prompt field that appears at the top of the blank document (which displays "**What do you want Copilot to draft?**"), enter the following prompt: **I'm the Sales Manager for Northwind Traders, a supplier of various grocery and beverage products. Please create a report that compares the supplier agreements for three of our customers**. **Provide a recommendation on contract renewals that can provide Northwind Traders with more favorable terms. The supplier agreements for these three customers are attached**. **Thank you**! 28 | 1. You now must attach the three supplier agreements to the prompt. In the **Copilot** prompt field, select the **+Add content** button. In the drop-down menu that appears, the **All** tab is displayed by default. Select the **Files** tab. If the **Contoso Supplier Agreement** appears in the list of files, select it. Otherwise, select into the prompt field and enter the following text after the prompt: **/contoso**. Doing so opens the drop-down menu again, but this time it should include the **Contoso Supplier Agreement**. Select the file and note how it's displayed in the prompt. 29 | 1. Repeat the prior step for both the **Tailwind Traders Supplier Agreement** and the **Wide World Importers Supplier Agreement**. At this point, links to all three files should be included in the prompt. 30 | 1. Select the **Generate** Icon that appears in the prompt field. At this point, Copilot extracts pertinent information from the three supplier agreements and drafts a report comparing them. 31 | 1. After reviewing the speech, you aren't pleased with the results. You would like to see Copilot try again and generate a new version. In the Copilot window that appears at the end of the document, select the **Regenerate** button, which appears next to the **Keep it** button. You can repeat this step as many times as necessary until Copilot creates a version of this report that you approve. For this exercise, repeat this step several times to see the various formats that Copilot delivers. Also note how some information may be included in one version of the report that's not in others. 32 | 1. Each version of the report that Copilot generates is stored as a draft. Note how Copilot displays the draft that you're looking at by displaying **<1 of 1>**, **<2 of 2>**, and so on, as you generate each new draft version. The forward and backward arrows enable you to move back and forth between versions to compare each draft and possibly settle on one that you want to keep. 33 | 1. Once you're satisfied with a specific version of the report, select the **Keep it** button. 34 | 1. Note how the **Keep it** button converts the Copilot draft to a live Word document. Since this document isn't used in upcoming exercises, you can close the **Microsoft Word** tab in your Edge browser. 35 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M05-empower-workforce-copilot-finance/4-create-financial-analysis-report.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Create a financial analysis report using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word can help Finance professionals create documents more efficiently. It can help them write content, research topics, and transform existing content into a document they can be proud of. Copilot can also save them time and thought by rewriting and editing documents. 4 | 5 | For example, if you're a financial analyst and need to write a report on the performance of a company, you can use Copilot in Word to draft the report. You can tell Copilot to "Write a report on the financial performance of XYZ company" and it generates a draft that you can refine. You can ask Copilot Chat questions to research, ideate, or iterate on for possible content to add. 6 | 7 | If you're working on an existing document, Copilot can help you rewrite and edit the document, saving you time and thought. In this exercise, you instruct Copilot in Word to write a new report based on the data from the Fabrikam Q1 Marketing Campaign spreadsheet that was copied to a Word document. 8 | 9 | ### Exercise 10 | 11 | As Fabrikam's Director of Finance, you used Copilot in Excel to analyze the effectiveness of the company's Q1 marketing campaigns in the prior exercise. In this exercise, you plan to use Copilot in Word to generate a report that summarizes the analysis of that data. The spreadsheet was copied and pasted for you into a Word document, which you download in the first step. 12 | 13 | 1. Select the following link to download the [Fabrikam Q1 marketing campaign data](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268926). 14 | 1. After the download is finished, move the file to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder, and then open and close the file to get it in your Most Recently Used (MRU) file list. 15 | 1. If you have a **Microsoft 365** tab open in your Microsoft Edge browser, then select it now; otherwise, open a new tab and enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 16 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, open **Microsoft Word** and then open a blank document. 17 | 1. In the **Copilot** prompt field that appears at the top of the blank document, enter the following prompt, but don't select the **Generate** button until after you link the file to the prompt in the next step: **I'm the Director of Finance for Fabrikam. Please create a Q1 Marketing Campaign Analysis report based on the attached file, which provides data on our Q1 marketing campaigns. Include the following sections in the report: Executive Summary, Data Analysis, and Recommendations**. 18 | 1. You now must attach to the prompt the **Fabrikam Q1 marketing campaign data.docx** file that you downloaded. In the **Copilot** prompt field, select the **+Add content** button. In the drop-down menu that appears, select the **Files** tab, and then in the list of MRU files, select the **Fabrikam Q1 marketing campaigns data.docx** file. Note how the file is displayed in the prompt. 19 | 1. Select the **Generate** icon in the prompt field. Upon doing so, Copilot extracts the pertinent information from the file and drafts a report that analyzes the data. Note the Copilot window that appears at the end of the report. It says you're working on draft 1 of 1. Since you're working in draft mode, you're not using the Copilot pane. The Copilot pane is used when you're working on an actual Word document. However, in this case, you're working with Copilot drafts in Word, so you must use the Copilot window that appears at the end of the draft. Review the results of this first draft. 20 | 1. For this exercise, you want Copilot to reformat the **Executive Summary** section at the start of the draft. Our testing has shown that Copilot typically presents the Executive Summary in either bulleted list, table, or paragraph format. If the data is presented in a bulleted list, then you want Copilot to change it to a table format. If it's in a table or paragraph format, then you want Copilot to change it to a bulleted list. Here’s the prompt that you should enter: **Please convert the information in the Executive Summary section into a {table or bulleted list} format.** 21 | - If the Executive Summary is presented in a bulleted list, then enter the following prompt and replace **{table or bulleted list}** with **table**. 22 | - If the **Executive Summary** data is in a table or paragraph format, then enter following prompt and replace **{table or bulleted list}** with **bulleted list**: **Please convert the information in the Executive Summary section into a {table or bulleted list} format**. 23 | 1. In our testing, Copilot updated the Executive Summary just fine, but it sometimes failed to show the rest of the document, or it displayed headings only. If this situation happens to you, then select the back arrow in the Copilot window to return to draft 1 and enter the following prompt: Please convert the information in the Executive Summary section into a {table or bulleted list} format. Display all the remaining sections in their entirety.** 24 | 1. In our testing, Copilot created anywhere multiple campaign metrics in the **Data Analysis** section. If these metrics are already in a table format, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, enter the following prompt to place all the metrics into tables so that it's easier to read: **Please convert the information for each metric in the Data Analysis section into a table format.** 25 | 1. You like the **Recommendations**, but you feel they would be more valuable if Copilot displayed the data in order of importance. Enter the following prompt to have Copilot make this change: **In the Recommendations section, display the items in order of importance, starting with the most important item**. 26 | 1. After reviewing this latest draft, you're satisfied with the report and you're ready to save it. In the Copilot window at the bottom of the document, select the **Keep it** button to convert it from a Copilot draft to a Word document. 27 | 1. Review the document. Once you're satisfied with it, you can either discard the document or save it to your OneDrive for future reference. 28 | 1. Close this tab in your Microsoft Edge browser. 29 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M11-empower-workforce-copilot-challenge/5-enhance-content-creation-collaboration-skills.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Enhance content creation and collaboration skills 2 | --- 3 | As a Marketing executive at a global marketing agency called Relecloud, you're responsible for creating and managing content across various platforms. You want to use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word to develop a marketing report and collaborate on marketing campaign ideas for your latest client, Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm. You then plan to use Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint to create a marketing analysis presentation for Munson's senior management team. 4 | 5 | ### Prepare a marketing report 6 | 7 | One of your regular tasks is to review marketing reports for clients, summarizing campaign performance, market trends, and recommendations. These reports involve extensive research, data analysis, and content writing. From past experience, you know that creating these reports from scratch is a time-consuming process. You also struggle at times to ensure consistency in language and tone across different sections. Finally, it's quite challenging to find relevant keywords and phrases to optimize content for search engines. 8 | 9 | One of Relecloud's junior associates notified you that they created a brief outline for a new project involving Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm. Munson's started out as a mom-and-pop business in eastern Washington state that sold canned pickles and preserves. In the course of five years, Munson's has grown into a multimillion-dollar business selling their wares throughout western Canada and the Pacific coast of the U.S. They're ready to expand their operation, beginning with the central Canadian provinces and the upper Midwest (US). 10 | 11 | You must download the marketing report by selecting the following link: [Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm - Marketing report](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268063). 12 | 13 | The report includes an Executive Summary and an Introduction. However, after reviewing the report, you can see that you have much work to do to mold it into a workable marketing plan. The Executive Summary includes details that aren't substantiated with any supporting documentation. You also found that the Introduction was far from a normal "introduction." It includes an assortment of ideas and background data that should be separated from the Introduction. 14 | 15 | You want to use Copilot in Word to review the report, rewrite these two sections, and add relevant content based on its existing text, helping you build the report faster. You also want Copilot to suggest improvements, which you can choose to accept or modify, saving you time and effort. You want Copilot to begin with this outline and then modify it to include the following areas: 16 | 17 | - Executive summary 18 | - Market definition and size 19 | - Competitor analysis 20 | - Market share estimates 21 | - Customer segmentation 22 | - Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) analysis 23 | - Marketing strategies and tactics 24 | - Performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 25 | - Risks and mitigation strategies 26 | 27 | As you use Copilot, you want it to focus on keyword optimization. To do so, you want Copilot to generate a list of relevant keywords for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes that are based on industry trends and client-specific terms. You want Copilot to seamlessly integrate these keywords into the report. 28 | 29 | In summary, you want Copilot to turn this brief outline into a workable marketing report. 30 | 31 | ### Collaborate on marketing campaign ideas 32 | 33 | Relecloud’s marketing team met last week to collaborate on campaign ideas, brainstorming sessions, and project planning related to the Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm project. They consolidated all their findings into one massive collection of marketing campaign ideas. 34 | 35 | You should download this report by selecting the following link: [Marketing campaign ideas for Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268691). 36 | 37 | You now want to streamline communication and idea-sharing between your executive team and representatives from Munson's. To do so, use Copilot in Word to analyze this campaign ideas report and create a new report from it titled "Top five marketing campaign ideas to support Munson's Canadian and US expansion." This new report should summarize the findings of this marketing campaign ideas report, highlighting key ideas and potential action items. The new report should include: 38 | 39 | - **Summarized key points**. To provide an overview of the content, create a summary of the main points and recommendations at the beginning of the report. 40 | - **Top five campaign ideas**. Review all the campaign ideas and determine the top five ideas that have the greatest potential for impacting Munson's sales and success. 41 | - **Visual aids**. To make the report attractive and easier to understand, include charts, graphs, and images. 42 | - **Proper formatting**. Ensure that the report is well-formatted, with clear headings, subheadings, and consistent font styles and sizes. Possibly change some of the more text-heavy sections into table formats to see if it provides a more succinct presentation of ideas. 43 | 44 | Once you make these updates, you can then share this report with your counterparts at Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm. You plan to create a PowerPoint presentation based on this report. As such, save this "Top marketing campaign ideas" report for use in the next phase of your project. 45 | 46 | ### Prepare an executive summary presentation 47 | 48 | At this point, you finished your report outlining the "Top marketing campaign ideas to support Munson's Canadian and US expansion." Your final step in this marketing effort is to create a PowerPoint presentation based on this report, which you plan to present to the senior management at Munson's Pickles and Preserves Farm. You want to use Copilot in PowerPoint to create this presentation. 49 | 50 | Make the presentation visually attractive and ensure its tone is professional. Select a theme based on gardens or fruit, if at all possible. Keep it light and airy. The presentation should focus on the top five campaign ideas that you selected from your marketing team's report. Ensure that your presentation includes the facts as to why you selected each of the top five campaign ideas. Verify that Copilot included speaker notes in each slide. 51 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M04-empower-workforce-copilot-marketing/3-brainstorm-marketing-campaign-ideas.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Brainstorm marketing campaign ideas using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft Loop is designed for modern collaboration. You can develop detailed customer personas for your target segment and improve your marketing strategy. 6 | 7 | In this training exercise, you use Copilot in Loop to brainstorm ideas for a marketing campaign for a new product. 8 | 9 | ### Exercise 10 | 11 | In the prior exercise, Tailspin Toys conducted a market analysis of the toy industry. Based on that analysis, the company decided to introduce a new line of outdoor toys. As a Marketing Program Manager at Tailspin Toys, you're tasked with creating marketing campaigns for this new line of toys. You decided that your first step is to use Copilot in Loop to help brainstorm ideas for marketing campaigns targeted at this new product line. Perform the following steps to brainstorm ideas using Copilot in Loop: 12 | 13 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **Loop** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps**, and on the **Apps** page, scroll down to locate **Loop** and then select it. 14 | 1. In **Loop**, the **Workspaces** tab is displayed by default. You want to create a new workspace for this project, so select the **Create new** (plus sign) icon in the navigation pane on the left. In the menu that appears, select **New workspace**. 15 | 1. In the **Create a new workspace** window, you must assign your workspace a name. Enter **Outdoor toy line marketing campaign** in the **Type a name** field and then select the **Create** button. 16 | 1. You're now on the first page for your new workspace. The name of the page is currently **Untitled**. Note the page (**Untitled**) also appears in the middle navigation pane. In the main body of the page, select in the **Untitled** field and change the name of the page to **Ideas for Outdoor toy campaigns**. Note how the page name is automatically updated in the middle navigation pane. 17 | 1. In the **Use Copilot or** **just start typing...** field that appears below the **Ideas for Outdoor toy campaigns** heading, enter a forward slash **(/)**. 18 | 1. In the drop-down menu that appears, under the **Copilot** section at the top of the menu, select **Draft page content**. 19 | 1. In the **Copilot** window, a menu appears below the prompt field. The menu includes several suggested prompts, each of which starts with one of the following verbs: **Draft**, **Brainstorm**, and **Describe**. You can select one of these suggested prompts if they appeal to you. While you're interested in a **Brainstorm** prompt, you're not interested in the particular **Brainstorm** prompt that appears in this list. Instead, enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Brainstorm 10 ideas for a marketing campaign for a new line of outdoor toys**. 20 | 1. Review the generated list of ideas. Rather than having all the information in a paragraph or list form, you prefer to summarize it in a table. Plus, you also want Copilot to provide more specific details for each idea, In the **Copilot** window that appears, enter the following prompt in the **Rewrite with Copilot** field and select the **Send** icon: **That looks good. However, please rewrite the report by placing the information in a table and provide more specific details for each idea**. 21 | 1. Note how Copilot changed the formatting of the report. You now want Copilot to add another idea to the table titled **Supermarket store promotions**. To do so, enter the following prompt: **Add an idea for Supermarket store promotions**. 22 | 1. After further reflection, you decide that promoting outdoor toys in a supermarket is a lousy idea, and you no longer want it included in the list. So how can you undo what you just did? In the Copilot window, note how Copilot tracks each of your prompts below the prompt field. The prompts are displayed from the most recent prompt down to the first prompt, in sequential order. More importantly, note how each prompt includes an **Undo** icon. If you're unhappy with the results of a prompt, you can undo it to go back to the version of the draft before that prompt. Since you decided that you no longer want to include **Supermarket store promotions** in the table, select the **Undo** icon for that prompt. 23 | 1. After selecting the **Undo** icon, note how Copilot deleted the prompt and returned you to the draft following the second prompt that put the ideas in a table. At this point, you're ready to have Copilot sort the ideas from best to worst. To do so, enter the following prompt: **Please sort the ideas in the table starting from most effective to least effective**. 24 | 25 | > [!NOTE] 26 | > Locate the **Sort** icon (the up and down arrows) that appears in the icon tray above the list of ideas. This option simply sorts the ideas in alphabetical sequence. You can perform the sort on either the name of each **Idea** or the first word in each **Details** field. However, it isn't based on the estimated effectiveness of the ideas, which is what you want, and what you requested in the prompt. 27 | 28 | 1. After reviewing the sorted ideas, you decide to make one final change. You want Copilot to replace the least effective idea with a campaign event titled **Seasonal Promotions**. You think it's a natural fit for a new toy line that focuses on outdoor products. To do so, enter the following prompt: **Please replace the final idea in the table with Seasonal Promotions**. 29 | 1. You're now satisfied with the list of ideas which you can later present to your marketing team. When it's time to present the list of marketing campaign ideas that you brainstormed with the help of Copilot in Loop, you can access the **Ideas for Outdoor toy campaigns** workspace that Loop automatically saved. 30 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M07-empower-workforce-copilot-operations/3-draft-meeting-reply.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Draft a meeting reply using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Outlook 2 | --- 3 | Operations managers conduct much of their daily work in Outlook. For example, Operations managers use Outlook to help: 4 | 5 | - **Coordinate projects**. They receive updates from team members, stakeholders, and vendors through email. By replying within the same email thread, the manager can track the progress, address any issues, and provide guidance without cluttering their inbox. 6 | - **Approve requests**. For example, budget proposals, purchase orders, and leave requests. Replying within the existing email thread ensures context, allows for quick decision-making, and maintains an audit trail. 7 | - **Troubleshoot operational issues**. Because Operations Managers collaborate with cross-functional teams, email threads help document the problem-solving process, including discussions, decisions, and action items. 8 | - **Negotiate contracts, pricing, or terms with vendors**. Because threaded emails maintain a record of negotiations, the Operations Manager can refer to previous messages and agreements. 9 | 10 | In this training, you use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Outlook to summarize an actual email thread in your Inbox and then draft a potential reply to the latest email in this thread. 11 | 12 | > [!IMPORTANT] 13 | > Copilot scenarios in Outlook are only available on a user's primary mailbox. They aren't available on a user's archive mailbox, group mailboxes, or shared and delegate mailboxes that the user has access to. Microsoft only supports Copilot in Outlook on mailboxes hosted on Exchange Online. Additionally, Copilot in Outlook is only supported in Microsoft 365 work or school accounts and Microsoft accounts with specific email domains. It's supported both through Microsoft 365 Copilot with your Microsoft Entra ID account, and Copilot Pro with your MSA account. Any Microsoft account that uses a third-party email provider can still access Outlook, but it can't access Copilot features in Outlook. 14 | 15 | Also remember from previous use cases that Copilot in Outlook can create multiple drafts of the same email. They can have a different tone and length, along with different content. You can then navigate through the various drafts by selecting the forward and backward arrows at the top of the Copilot window. 16 | 17 | As you review a generated draft, keep in mind the best practices you learned from previous training. Analyze the salutation, the complementary close, and the overall message tone and length. Also review the context of the message to ensure that its explanations aren't too simplistic or too complicated given the target audience. 18 | 19 | ### Exercise 20 | 21 | In this exercise, you want to use Copilot in Outlook to summarize an actual email thread in your Outlook Inbox. When you summarize an email, Copilot extracts key points from multiple messages and automatically provides a summary based on the message bodies of the thread. When you're working with a lengthy thread, this feature can save you a large amount of time determining who made what decisions and took what actions. 22 | 23 | When you summarize a long thread, Copilot may ignore older messages in the conversation. There are limitations on how much data Copilot can pass into the large language models (LLMs). 24 | 25 | > [!NOTE] 26 | > If this situation occurs, Copilot displays a warning indicating the summary doesn't represent the full thread. 27 | 28 | You want to use Copilot in Outlook to draft a reply to a selected thread. You can see how Copilot uses the context of that thread in generating a potential reply. 29 | 30 | 1. In your Microsoft Edge browser, open a new tab and enter the following URL to go to the Microsoft 365 home page: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 31 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, if an **Outlook** icon appears in the left-hand navigation pane, then select it now and proceed to the next step. Otherwise, select the **Apps** icon, and on the **Apps** page, select **Outlook**. 32 | 1. In **Outlook**, open an existing email in your **Inbox**. If possible, select an email that's a reply from another person to ensure the thread includes at least two emails (the original plus at least one reply). The more emails in the thread the better for this exercise. 33 | 1. At the top of the email, Outlook displays a Copilot option that says: **Summary by Copilot**. Select this option. 34 | 1. Review the summary created by Copilot. As you can see, Copilot summarized the decisions that were made in the thread, along with the suggested actions. 35 | 1. At the bottom of the **Summary by Copilot** window, select the **Ask Copilot** button. Doing so opens a **Copilot** pane. 36 | 1. In the Copilot pane, note the various actions that you can have Copilot perform based on this thread. Select the **Understand** option, which directs Copilot to describe the key points in this email. 37 | 1. Below the list of key points are some suggested prompts you can select based on the key points. Select one of the suggested prompts and note Copilot's response. 38 | 1. Now scroll back to the top of the **Copilot** pane to select any of the other actions. For example, select **Ask**, which directs Copilot to generate a list of follow-up questions based on this email. 39 | 1. Below the list of questions, select one of the suggested prompts and note Copilot's response. 40 | 1. In the **Copilot** pane, select the **X** in the upper-right corner of the pane to close it. 41 | 1. In the **Summary by Copilot** window, select the **X** in the upper-right corner of the window to discard the summarization. The selected email should remain open. 42 | 1. Select the **Reply all** option in the Outlook ribbon. 43 | 1. Select the **Copilot** button towards the far-right side of the Outlook ribbon. In the drop-down menu that appears, select **Draft**. 44 | 1. In the body of the message, a **Copilot** window appears. Below the **What do you want this email to say**? message is a list of suggested prompts that you can use when creating your reply to this email thread. 45 | 1. Enter the following prompt in the **What do you want this email to say**? prompt field and then select the **Generate** button: **Please draft a reply to this email thread. Thanks**! 46 | 1. Scroll through the response. In the Copilot window, you can change the tone and length of the reply. Each option generates a new draft. Take a moment and change the tone. Review the response. Note the Salutation, the complementary close, the overall change in tone, and the new details that Copilot included. 47 | 1. Next, change the length of the reply to make it either longer or shorter, depending on your preference. Note the change to the new draft that's created. 48 | 1. While you're satisfied with the reply, you noticed a Tone option that you feel you must try out of pure curiosity. This time, change the **Tone** to **Like a poem**. 49 | 1. Enjoy the response, and then select the trash can (**Discard**) icon in the upper right corner of the email screen to delete the draft of this reply. 50 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M06-empower-workforce-copilot-hr/4-create-interview-questions.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Create interview questions using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Loop is a powerful tool that can help teams collaborate more effectively and efficiently. With Copilot in Loop, you can create workspaces and pages, use intelligent search and templates to add relevant content, and share your work with others. Copilot in Loop can suggest ideas and help start projects, making it easier to get going when you find yourself stuck. It can draft texts, create tables, generate code for tech projects, and even answer questions quickly. 4 | 5 | As an HR professional, you're drawn to the fact that Copilot in Loop can assist you through so many aspects of the HR experience - from the hiring process, to managing employees, to handling important documents, to managing internal communications. 6 | 7 | In this exercise, you want Copilot to help with the hiring process for a new role. While you used Copilot in Word in the prior exercise to screen resumes, rank the candidates, and provide suggested salary ranges for each, you want to use Copilot in Loop to create a list of interview questions for the top candidates. During this creation process, you want to see whether Copilot in Loop can amend the list of questions based on your direction. 8 | 9 | ### Exercise 10 | 11 | As the HR Manager at the Graphic Design Institute, you previously used Copilot in Word to compare resumes for a new Senior Animation Designer role and rank the candidates. In this exercise, you continue that hiring journey by using Microsoft 365 Copilot to develop a set of interview questions that you can use when interviewing the top candidates. 12 | 13 | You know that you can also use various forms of Copilot (such as Copilot in Word and Microsoft 365 Copilot) to create interview questions. However, you decide to use Copilot in Loop because you're attracted to Loop's collaboration features. You learned that you can collaborate with others on your HR team in real-time on the same Loop component, using different apps and devices, and see the changes instantly. 14 | 15 | Perform the following steps to have Copilot in Loop generate interview questions: 16 | 17 | 1. If you have **Microsoft 365** open in a tab, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, open a new tab in your **Microsoft Edge** browser, and then enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 18 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **Loop** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps**, and on the **Apps** page, scroll down to locate **Loop** and then select it. 19 | 1. In **Microsoft Loop**, select the **Getting Started** tile. 20 | 1. In **Loop**, the **Getting Started** tab is displayed in the left-hand navigation pane. You want to create a new workspace for this project, so select the **+Create new** button that appears at the top of the navigation pane. In the drop-down menu that appears, select **New workspace**. 21 | 1. In the **Create a new workspace** window, enter **Interview questions** for your workspace name, and then select the **Create** button. 22 | 1. You're now in the first page for your new workspace. The name of the page is currently **Untitled**. Note the page (**Untitled**) also appears in the middle navigation pane. In the main body of the page, select in the **Untitled** field and change the name of the page to: **Interview questions for the Senior Animation Designer role**. Note how the page name is automatically updated in the middle navigation pane. 23 | 1. In the **Use Copilot or** **just start typing...** field that appears below the page title, enter a forward slash **(/)**. 24 | 1. In the drop-down menu that appears, under the **Copilot** section at the top of the menu, select **Draft page content**. You plan to enter your own custom prompt, so proceed to the next step and don't select any of the suggested prompts from the menu. 25 | 1. In the **Copilot** window that appears, enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Create a list of the 15 best interview questions that should be asked to candidates applying for a new Senior Animation Designer role at the Graphic Design Institute.** 26 | 1. Review the list of questions. You feel this initial list is a good start, but you notice several types of questions are missing. Notice how the Copilot window appears much smaller than the Copilot window in other Microsoft 365 apps. Enter the following prompt in this Copilot window: **Add a question about having failed at a project and what they learned from it.** 27 | 1. Review the new question that Copilot automatically added to the end of the document. 28 | 1. After scanning the list one last time, you realize that it includes few, if any questions about leadership. To correct this situation, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window: **As a Senior Animation Designer, the candidate is expected to lead their design team on projects. Create a question that asks the candidate to talk about a couple of their most significant experiences in leading other design team members, and what their leadership style is**. 29 | 1. Review the new question that Copilot added to the end of the list. At this point, you're unsure if the current list of questions is sufficient. To play it safe, you decide to ask Copilot in Loop to recommend some more questions. However, in this case, you must open the Copilot pane to ask Copilot a question. If you enter a question in the Copilot window, it won’t generate an answer, since the Copilot window isn't designed to answer questionsAs such, select the **Copilot** icon that appears at the top right of the **Loop** page, next to the **Share** button. 30 | > [!TIP] 31 | > In our testing, the Copilot window consistently covered the Copilot icon. Because you can’t drag the window to a different location to expose the Copilot icon, you must select the X in the upper corner of the Copilot window to close it. Then select the **Copilot** icon, which opens the Copilot pane. You can always reopen the Copilot window by selecting the Copilot icon that appears to the right of the first question. 32 | 1. In the Copilot pane, enter the following prompt: **Are there any other questions that you think should be added to the list?** 33 | 1. Review the list of new questions that Copilot generated in the Copilot pane. If Copilot doesn't include an **Insert** button, select the **Copy** icon that appears below the newly generated questions to copy them to the clipboard. 34 | 1. To indicate where the new questions should be inserted in the Loop page, scroll down to the end of the document, place your cursor after the final question and enter **Ctrl+V** to paste in the questions. 35 | > [!NOTE] 36 | > If the questions were formatted in a bulleted list in the Copilot pane, then they’ll appear in a bulleted list when you copy and paste them into the Loop page. In a real-world scenario, you would normally clean up this formatting to make it all consistent rather than having both a numeric list and a bulleted list. However, given the time constraints for this training, we won’t make any formatting changes in this exercise. 37 | 1. Note the final list of questions that Copilot in Loop generated. You now have a vast assortment of questions to choose from when interviewing your candidates. And with Loop, you know that others on your HR team can see these questions in real-time on the same Loop component, even if they're using different apps and devices. 38 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M06-empower-workforce-copilot-hr/2-create-job-description.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Create a job description using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word is an AI-powered writing assistant that can help HR professionals streamline their work processes and improve their productivity. Copilot can also simplify the handling of onboarding documents, from contract generation to policy dissemination, making the onboarding process more efficient. Plus, it can help create customized onboarding plans for new hires, ensuring they feel welcome and well-informed from day one. 6 | 7 | Copilot in Word can also analyze employee feedback and surveys, providing HR professionals with insights into employee satisfaction and areas for improvement. It can suggest tailored training and development programs for employees, enhancing their skills and career progression. 8 | 9 | ### Exercise 10 | 11 | As the HR Manager at Graphic Design Institute, you started the hiring process for a new Senior Animation Designer. Your staff created a document that outlines all the job responsibilities for this role. You now want to use Copilot in Word to create a job description based on the role responsibilities in this document. 12 | 13 | 1. Select the following link to download the [Graphic Design Institute - Design Team Responsibilities](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268824) document. 14 | 1. After the download completes, move the file to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder, and then open and close the file to get it in your Most Recently Used (MRU) file list. 15 | 1. If you have a Microsoft 365 tab open in your Microsoft Edge browser, then select it now; otherwise, open a new tab and enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 16 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, open **Microsoft Word**, and then open a blank document. 17 | 1. In the **Copilot** prompt that appears above the blank document, enter the following prompt, but don't select the **Generate** button until after you link the responsibilities file to the prompt in the next step: **I'm the HR Manager at the Graphic Design Institute. We've currently started the hiring process for a new Senior Animation Designer. Please review the attached document that outlines the job responsibilities for this role and create a job description based on those responsibilities**. 18 | 1. You now must attach to the prompt the **Graphic Design Institute - Design Team Responsibilities.docx** file that you downloaded. In the **Copilot** prompt window, select the **+Add content** button. In the drop-down menu that appears, select the **Files** tab, and then select the **Graphic Design Institute - Design Team Responsibilities.docx** file. Note how the file is displayed in the prompt. 19 | 1. Select **Generate**. 20 | 1. Review the first draft of the job description document. You note that it doesn't include many of the details found in the job responsibilities document. Instead, it provides summarized sentences for each responsibility. To correct this shortcoming, enter the following prompt and select the forward arrow: **While this job description draft is a good start, you failed to include most of the details found in the job responsibilities document. Please try again, and this time outline each responsibility area and select the responsibilities required of a Senior Animation Designer**. **Be as specific as you can**. 21 | 1. Review the second draft. After you looked back at the **Graphic Design Institute - Design Team Responsibilities.docx** file, it dawned on you that this file didn't include several other areas that you want included in the job description report. Enter the following prompt to have Copilot add these other responsibilities: **Please enhance the job description for a Senior Animation Designer role. Add sections on Leadership, Performance metrics, Company culture and values, and Additional benefits if they are not already in the first draft.** Review the third draft. You realize that there's one last section missing. You want Copilot to add a section on Education. Enter the following prompt to have Copilot add this section to the report: **Please add a section on Education to the report. Also ensure there's a Summary or Position Overview section at the start of the document that provides a high-level overview of the role. If there isn't one, then add it now.** 22 | 1. Review this final draft (4 of 4) of the job description report. However, before you keep this version, you want to use the backward and forward arrows above the prompt field to make one final review each draft to determine if one of your earlier versions is preferable to the final draft. Your goal is to create a job description report that's clear and concise. As such, you want to review the earlier drafts to determine if one that isn’t so lengthy would better serve you. Make sure you're on the draft that you want to use, and then select the **Keep it** button in the prompt field. 23 | 1. Now that you converted your selected draft into a live Word document, open the Copilot pane for this report by selecting the **Copilot** button that appears at the far right-side of the **Home** tab ribbon. Before you save this document, you decide to ask Copilot to recommend any other job responsibilities for this role. Enter the following prompt: **Is there anything missing from this job description for a Senior Animation Designer role that you think should be included?** 24 | 1. After reviewing Copilot's suggestions, you're reminded of the saying, "Be careful what you wish for." Copilot's list of suggested responsibilities is impressive, but you're concerned that it may be too much for a workable job description document. You decide to have Copilot only include one of the suggestions. Enter the following prompt and replace the **{selected suggestion}** with the one you want it to include: **These are all good suggestions. However, rather than including all of them in the report, please add just the suggestion titled {selected suggestion}.** 25 | 1. Note how Copilot narrowed its suggested list down to just this one item. Before you have Copilot insert this item into the report, you must place your cursor where you want Copilot to insert your selected suggestion. It could be its own section or a bulleted item in an existing section. Then select the **Insert** button below this response. If necessary, make any formatting changes that may be required to improve the appearance of this inserted suggestion. 26 | 1. Before you're done with this file, check the sensitivity label assigned to the file. Above the menu bar, to the right of the file name field, hover over the sensitivity label symbol. If the symbol doesn't represent **Public** (for example, if it's **Confidential** or some other value), then select the symbol, and in the menu that appears, select **Public**. In the **Justification Required** window that appears, select **Previous label was incorrect** and then select the **Change** button. 27 | 1. You want to change the name of this file, so in the file name field that appears to the left of the sensitivity label icon, enter **Job description - Senior Animation Designer** and then hit Enter. When you're done, close this tab in your Edge browser. 28 | 29 | > [!IMPORTANT] 30 | > This document is used in the next exercise. 31 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M01-empower-workforce-copilot-executives/4-create-speech.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | # Create a speech using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 3 | --- 4 | Mastering Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word can be a transformative skill for executives tasked with crafting impactful speeches. This tool can enhance your creativity and efficiency and empower you to deliver speeches that resonate powerfully. Copilot can help you foster a stronger connection with stakeholders and leave a lasting effect in the realm of leadership. 7 | 8 | ### Linking files in Copilot 9 | 10 | In this exercise, you direct Copilot in Word to write a speech for you based on your company's Income Statement, which is stored in a Word document. When you link a file such as this into a Copilot prompt, the file MUST be located in a OneDrive folder. You can't link to a locally stored file on your PC. 11 | 12 | You can link the file into the Copilot prompt using one of the following methods: 13 | 14 | - Select the file from the Most Recently Used (MRU) file list. 15 | - Open the file and copy its path using the **Share** option, then paste the path into the prompt following the forward slash (/). 16 | - Copy the file's path from File Explorer and paste it into the prompt following the forward slash (/). 17 | 18 | In this exercise, you select the company's Income Statement from the MRU file list. 19 | 20 | ### Exercise 21 | 22 | As the CFO at Fabrikam, Inc., an IT services firm located in Minneapolis, MN, you're meeting next week with the company's major shareholders to provide a presentation on the company's year-end financial performance. Your VP of Accounting provided you with a summary of the company's Income Statement. 23 | 24 | You plan to use Copilot to write your speech based on the financial results outlined in the Income Statement. This exercise walks you through a series of prompts that you can use to have Copilot in Word generate your speech and then update it based on your suggested changes. 25 | 26 | To reference the file in Copilot, this exercise locates the file from the MRU file list. 27 | 28 | Perform the following steps to generate your speech using Copilot in Word: 29 | 30 | 1. Select the following link to open a copy of [Fabrikam's Income Statement](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268823). Select the **Download** button at the top of the screen to download the file to your computer. 31 | 1. Once the download is complete, open **File Explorer** and move the file from your **Downloads** folder to your **OneDrive - Microsoft** folder. 32 | 1. In this exercise, you access the document from the MRU file list. To get the file to appear in the list, open the document and then close it. 33 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **Word** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and on the **Apps** page, select **Word**. 34 | 1. In the **Word** file page, open a blank document. 35 | 1. In the **Copilot** prompt field that appears at the top of the blank document, enter the following prompt: **Write a speech for the Fabrikam stakeholders that summarizes the results of the company's income statement found in the attached file**. 36 | 1. In the prompt field, select the **+Add content** button. In the drop-down menu that appears, the **All** tab is displayed by default. If the **Fabrikam Income Statement.docx** file appears, then select it. Otherwise, select the **Files** tab and then select the **Fabrikam Income Statement.docx** if it appears. If the file doesn't appear in either tab, then following the prompt, enter /fab. Doing so opens the content menu, and the **Fabrikam Income Statement.docx** should appear in the **All** tab. Select the file. Note how the file is displayed in the prompt. 37 | 1. Select the **Generate** icon. 38 | 1. During our testing, Copilot sometimes displayed a **Finding more sources to use in your draft** window; other time, it didn't. If Copilot doesn’t display this window, then proceed to the next step. However, if this window does appear, then select the **Skip** button. If you don't select the **Skip** button in time, a **Choose the sources you want Copilot to use to improve your draft** window appears. Since your speech only centers around Fabrikam's income statement, you don't want Copilot to use any of the other files that appear in this window. As such, select the **Unselect all** button and then select the **Generate** button. 39 | 1. At this point, Copilot extracts the financial results from the Income Statement and drafts a speech. After reviewing the speech, you decide that it's a good starting point, although there are a few areas that you want to modify. In the Copilot window at the end of the speech, select the **Keep it** button. 40 | 1. You want to begin by reviewing any changes suggested by the Copilot Editor. Select the **Editor** icon that appears in the menu bar at the top of the page. 41 | 1. In the **Editor** pane that appears, note the categories that appear under the **Corrections** or **Refinements** sections that display a number (indicating the number of issues for that category). These issues are often linked to the tone of the writing style used in the document. 42 | 1. Below the **Editor Score** is a field that allows you to select the tone used when writing the speech. It currently displays **Formal writing**, which is the default tone that Copilot used when writing this speech. When you don't indicate what writing style to use in your prompt, **Formal writing** is the default tone that Copilot uses. Select this field to see your options. You prefer a professional sounding tone, so select **Professional** from the drop-down menu. Note whether the **Editor Score** changes. 43 | 1. In the categories that appear under the **Corrections** or **Refinements** sections, you can review the changes that occurred in the categories based on changing the writing style from Formal to Professional. Select each category that displays a number (indicating the number of issues for that category). Doing so enables you to review the suggestions throughout the document for that category. For each suggestion, select either the suggested change or select **Ignore once**,** Ignore all**, or **Add to dictionary**. Repeat this process until all categories display a check mark. 44 | 1. For curiosity sake, change the writing style to **Casual**. Note whether the **Editor Score** changes. If any categories display a number, review the category and see what the Editor flagged. You want to keep the writing style as **Professional**, so select **Ignore all** for any suggested changes. Review all the suggested changes to see the differences that were flagged between Professional and Casual styles. 45 | 1. Save the file to your **OneDrive - Microsoft** folder with the following file name: **Fabrikam Financial presentation.docx**. The next exercise uses this document. 46 | 47 | > [!IMPORTANT] 48 | > Ensure that you save the file to your OneDrive rather than your local computer. In the next exercise, you use Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint to create a slide presentation based on this document. The document must be in OneDrive for Copilot to access it. 49 | 50 | 1. Close the tab containing this document in your Microsoft Edge browser. 51 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M09-empower-workforce-copilot-customer-service/4-collaborate-troubleshooting-guide.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Collaborate on a live troubleshooting guide using Copilot in Loop 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft Loop is designed for dynamic, flexible collaboration, which makes it perfect for teams that need to co-create, adapt, and respond quickly. When Copilot is added to the mix, Loop becomes a powerful space where Customer Support professionals can build live documents, troubleshoot complex issues across departments, and keep everyone aligned in real time. It's especially useful for support teams working on evolving processes, shared guides, or live client issues that require constant updates and input from multiple stakeholders. 4 | 5 | With Copilot in Loop, support professionals can quickly generate structured content like troubleshooting checklists, FAQ drafts, or internal playbooks, and then invite teammates from IT, Product, or Communications to contribute and refine in one shared space. Copilot helps analyze the problem, suggest workflows, assign responsibilities, and keep the content organized using live components that update wherever they're shared. It transforms how support teams handle recurring issues or create scalable resources for both internal and external use. 6 | 7 | Using Copilot in Loop gives Customer Support teams the ability to not just react to issues, but to proactively document and improve how those issues are handled across the business. It enables true cross-functional collaboration and ensures that living documents, such as troubleshooting guides and escalation flows, are always current, actionable, and easy for everyone to contribute to. 8 | 9 | ## Exercise 10 | 11 | As the Customer Service Manager at Fabrikam, you recently noticed a rise in login-related support requests coming from multiple clients using the company’s customer portal. These issues range from password errors to multifactor authentication failures and delayed account access each affecting customer satisfaction and putting added pressure on the support team. To address the situation quickly and consistently, you want to lead the development of a unified troubleshooting guide that other departments can also contribute to and rely on. 12 | 13 | To make this guide collaborative, flexible, and always up to date, you plan to use Copilot in Microsoft Loop. With input needed from Support, IT, and the Communications team, Loop provides the ideal space to co-create a live document that outlines the login issue resolution process step-by-step. With the help of Copilot, you can structure the content, assign responsibilities by team, and build a checklist that everyone can contribute to in real time. Your goal is to ensure clients receive fast, accurate help, while your internal teams stay aligned and efficient. 14 | 15 | 1. If you have **Microsoft 365** open in a tab, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, open a new tab in your **Microsoft Edge** browser, and then enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 16 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **Loop** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps**, and on the **Apps** page, locate **Loop** and then select it. 17 | 1. In **Microsoft Loop**, select the **Get Started** button at the top of the page and then complete the sign-in process. 18 | 1. In **Loop**, you want to create a new workspace for this project, so select the plus sign (**Create new**) icon that appears at the top of the navigation pane. In the menu that appears, select **New workspace**. 19 | 1. In the **Create a new workspace** window, enter **Troubleshooting Guide** for your workspace name, and then select the **Create** button. 20 | 1. You're now in the first page for your new workspace. The name of the page is currently **Untitled**. Note the page (Untitled) also appears in the middle navigation pane. In the main body of the page, select in the **Untitled** field and change the name of the page to: **Customer Service Troubleshooting Guide** Note how the page name is automatically updated in the navigation pane. 21 | 1. In the **Just start typing...** field that appears below the heading, enter a forward slash **(/)**. 22 | 1. In the drop-down menu that appears, under the **Copilot** section at the top of the menu, select **Draft page content**. You plan to enter your own custom prompt, so proceed to the next step and don't select any of the suggested prompts from the menu. 23 | 1. In the Copilot prompt field that appears, enter the following prompt: **Create a Customer Service troubleshooting checklist for resolving client login issues on our portal**. 24 | 1. Review the list of items. You want the items broken down by step. If Copilot has already done so, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, enter the following prompt: **Break down the troubleshooting process into clear steps**. 25 | 1. Review Copilot's response in the detail pane. Now that you entered a few prompts, note how Loop not only keeps a history of each prompt in the Copilot window, but when you click on the prompts, it shows what the document looked like after Copilot acted on the prompt. This design provides a running historical account of each change and how the document was affected. 26 | 1. While you feel like you’re off to a good start, you want to get a little more detailed in the tasks associated with each step. As such, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window: **This is a good start, but some of the tasks are too high-level. Please get more detailed on the tasks that you identified in each step**. 27 | 1. Review Copilot’s response. While it looks better, there’s one thing that you feel is still missing. Nowhere does it indicate who’s responsible for each step. To address this shortcoming, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window: **Please identify which team (Support, IT, or Client) is responsible for each step**. 28 | 1. After scanning the list one last time, you realize that it's missing key contact information and the company's escalation policy. To address these missing pieces, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window: **Add a section at the top with key contact information and the company's escalation policy**. 29 | 1. After consulting with other members of your team, you decide to make one more change. To make the document more useful for each team, you want Copilot to change it from a simple list into a Loop checklist component. Doing so enables users to mark each step once it's complete. To make this conversion, enter the following prompt: **Turn this list into a Loop checklist component so teams can update it in real time**. 30 | 1. In our testing, Copilot successfully turned this list into a checklist in which you can mark each item complete. However, in doing so, it always dropped the team that's responsible for each step. If that happened to you, then enter the following prompt to have Copilot add back this key piece of information: **That looks good. However, when you converted the list to a Loop checklist component, you accidentally dropped the teams (Support, IT, or Client) that are responsible for each step. Can you please add that information back into this Loop component checklist**. 31 | 1. At this point, you're satisfied with the checklist. However, to play it safe, you decide to ask Copilot in Loop to recommend any other changes. Enter the following prompt: **Are there any other things that you think should be added to this checklist to make it a more effective Customer Service troubleshooting guide**? 32 | 1. Review Copilot's response. In our testing, Copilot added a section on **Additional Recommendations** to the end of the document. What did it do for you? 33 | 1. Since you completed this exercise, you can close the Microsoft Edge browser tab. 34 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M10-empower-workforce-copilot-legal/5-visualize-risk-assessment-framework.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Visualize a risk assessment framework using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft Excel has long been a go-to tool for data organization, but with the integration of Copilot, it becomes a dynamic platform for legal professionals to structure, analyze, and visualize complex legal risk frameworks. Instead of relying solely on narrative reports or presentations, legal teams can now use Excel to build risk matrices, track compliance gaps, and organize mitigation strategies in a format that is both data-driven and easy to collaborate on. 4 | 5 | Copilot in Excel enables users to generate and populate structured tables, apply conditional formatting, categorize risks by Likelihood and Impact, and develop actionable insights—all with simple natural language prompts. Whether assessing regulatory exposure, managing contractual obligations, or supporting internal audits, legal professionals can use Excel to convert legal complexity into structured, trackable data. 6 | 7 | For this reason, Excel is an ideal environment for legal teams working alongside departments like HR, IT, Finance, or Compliance. By using Copilot to create clear visualizations of risk levels and responsibilities, legal professionals can promote alignment, drive accountability, and enhance the organization's ability to proactively manage legal and regulatory obligations. 8 | 9 | ## Exercise 10 | 11 | At Adatum Corporation, the Legal team is working on building a comprehensive risk assessment framework to identify and categorize potential legal or compliance risks within the business. With increasing regulations and the complexity of managing multiple legal requirements, the team wants to streamline their risk management process. To do so, they need a visual tool that helps them map out the risks and their associated mitigation strategies. You want to use Excel to help organize the data into a risk matrix and identify high-priority risks and action items. This information can then be presented to department heads for further review and collaboration. 12 | 13 | Your role is to guide the team in using Copilot in Excel to generate a 2x2 risk matrix, with axis for Likelihood and Impact. Copilot can then add key legal risks such as Data Privacy Violations, Breach of Contract, IP Infringement, and Non-Compliance with Labor Laws, categorizing them based on their risk levels. You want Copilot to color-code each quadrant to reflect the risk priority and help suggest mitigation actions for each identified risk. You also want to add a section for open questions, which can facilitate further legal review and discussion. This visual risk assessment should be a valuable tool for the Legal team to communicate with other departments, ensuring alignment and action on key compliance risks across Adatum Corporation. 14 | 15 | Perform the following steps to create a 2x2 risk matrix that visualizes and organizes legal risks based on likelihood and impact: 16 | 17 | 1. If you have a Microsoft 365 tab open in your Microsoft Edge browser, then select it now; otherwise, open a new tab and enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 18 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, select the **Excel** icon if it appears in the navigation pane. Otherwise, select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and then on the **Apps** page, select **Excel**. 19 | 1. In **Excel**, on the **File** page, select **Create blank workbook**. 20 | 1. In the **Start with Copilot** window that appears, enter the following prompt: **Create a 2x2 risk matrix table. It should compare Low and High Likelihood to Low and High Impact. Display Likelihood/Impact in cell A1. Leave the cells within the table blank for now**. 21 | 1. Review the matrix table that Copilot created. You now want to populate the matrix with legal risks in appropriate cells based on their Likelihood and Impact. To do so, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window that appears towards the bottom of the worksheet: **Populate the matrix with the following four legal risks in appropriate cells based on their Likelihood and Impact: "Data Privacy Violations: High Likelihood, High Impact," "Breach of Contract: Low Likelihood, High Impact," "IP Infringement: High Likelihood, Low Impact," and "Non-Compliance with Labor Laws: Low Likelihood, Low Impact**." 22 | 1. Verify that Copilot listed each legal risk in the correct cell based on its likelihood and impact. To make the row headings stand out from the actual data in the table, enter the following prompt: **Bold the values in cells A2 and A3**. 23 | 1. At this point, you're satisfied with the risk matrix, so select the **Keep it** button in the Copilot window. 24 | 1. Later, you realize that you want to add mitigation strategies in a separate work sheet. Since you're now dealing with multiple sheets, you want to make their names more user-friendly than just Sheet1 and Sheet2. At the bottom of the workbook, right-click on **Sheet1** and in the menu that appears, select **Rename**. Then type **Risk Matrix** and select Enter. Now select the **Plus sign (+)** next to the **Risk Matrix** sheet to add another sheet. Right-click on the new sheet, select **Rename** in the menu, type **Mitigation Strategies**, and then select Enter. 25 | 1. Since you kept the **Risk Matrix** draft and made it an actual sheet, the Copilot window no longer appears. Therefore, to have Copilot help you create the **Mitigation Strategies** sheet, you must use the Copilot pane. To do so, select **Copilot** that appears at the end of the **Home** tab ribbon. 26 | 1. In the **Mitigation Strategies** sheet, you want Copilot to create a table for mitigation actions. To do so, enter the following prompt in the Copilot pane: **Create a table with two columns: ‘Legal Risk' and ‘Mitigation Strategy.' In the Legal Risk column, include the following risks: Data Privacy Violations, Breach of Contract, IP Infringement, and Non-Compliance with Labor Laws. In the Mitigation Strategy column, suggest mitigation strategies for each risk**. 27 | 1. Review the mitigation strategies that Copilot displayed in the Copilot pane. You’re happy with the results, so select the **+Insert to new sheet** button that appears below the table. 28 | 1. You now want Copilot to generate a list of questions for legal review in a separate work sheet. At the bottom of the workbook, select the **Plus sign (+)** next to the **Mitigation Strategies** to add a new sheet. Right-click on the new sheet, select **Rename** in the menu, and then enter **Open Legal Questions** as the new name for the sheet. 29 | 1. In the **Open Legal Questions** sheet, you want Copilot to generate a list of open questions for legal review. To do so, enter the following prompt: **Create a list titled ‘Open Questions for Legal Review'. Include 10 questions. These should be open-ended legal questions that help identify compliance gaps, clarify ownership of risk, and prompt strategic legal discussion. The questions should encourage deeper legal review and collaboration with other departments**. 30 | 1. Review the open legal questions that Copilot generated. In our testing, sometimes Copilot displayed an **+Insert to new sheet** button below the questions, and other times it didn’t. If the **+Insert to new sheet** button appears, then select it. Otherwise, highlight the questions in the Copilot pane, copy them (**Ctrl+C**), and then paste them (**Ctrl+V**) in the sheet. 31 | 1. Feel free to have Copilot make other changes to any of the worksheets. For example, to format for readability and sharing, you could optionally adjust column widths and center text in the risk matrix table. Or you could add a title row across the top of each worksheet that says **Adatum Legal Risk Assessment**. 32 | 1. Once you finish updating the sheets in this workbook, you can close this tab in your Edge browser. 33 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M06-empower-workforce-copilot-hr/3-analyze-resumes.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Analyze resumes and make a recommendation using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 2 | --- 3 | In the prior exercise, you learned how Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word can assist HR professionals in crafting a job description. In this exercise, you learn how it can automate the initial stages of the resume screening process by ranking the candidates and providing suggested salary ranges for each based on their qualifications. This functionality can help HR professionals quickly identify the most suitable candidates from large pools of applicants. 4 | 5 | ### Exercise 6 | 7 | As the HR Manager at Graphic Design Institute, you started the hiring process for a new Senior Animation Designer. Your staff created a document that outlines all the job responsibilities for this role. In turn, you created a job description that you posted on the Web and on the company's internal employee website. You now want to use Copilot in Word to screen a batch of resumes that you received for the role and provide a recommendation as to which of the candidates qualifies for a job interview. You want Copilot to rank the candidates and provide suggested salary ranges for each based on their qualifications and ranking. 8 | 9 | At the end of the prior exercise, you saved the job description file that you created. You were instructed to save the file as **Job description -** **Senior Animation Designer.** If you saved it as a different file name, then remember the name that you used so that you can locate the file in this exercise. In this exercise, perform the following steps to have Copilot in Word compare the four resumes that you received against this job description file to help determine which candidate is most qualified: 10 | 11 | 1. Select the following links to download the resumes that you received thus far: 12 | - [Resume - Patti Fernandez](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268829) 13 | - [Resume - Nestor Wilke](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268930) 14 | - [Resume - Holly Dickson](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268828) 15 | - [Resume - Alex Wilber](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269127) 16 | 1. Once the downloads are complete, open **File Explorer** and copy the files from your **Downloads** folder to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 17 | 1. In this exercise, you access the documents from the Most Recently Used (MRU) file list. To get the files to appear in the MRU list, open each document and then close it. Open and close each of the four resume files in your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 18 | 1. In this exercise, you access the documents from the Most Recently Used file list in Word. To get the file to appear in the MRU list, open the document and then close it. 19 | 1. Open your Edge browser (if necessary) and navigate to the **Microsoft 365** home page by entering the following URL: **https://www.office.com** 20 | 1. Make sure you also open and close the **Job description -** **Senior Animation Designer.docx** file that you created in the prior exercise. 21 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, select the **Word** icon in the navigation pane on the left. If the icon doesn't appear, select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and then select **Word** from the **Apps** page. 22 | 1. In **Microsoft Word**, open a blank document. 23 | 1. In the **Copilot** window that appears at the top of the blank document, enter the following prompt, but don't submit the prompt just yet. You must attach the files to the prompt in the next step: **I'm the Hiring Manager for Graphic Design Institute. We're hiring for the position of Senior Animation Designer. Please create a report that compares the attached resumes to the requirements for a Senior Animation Designer in the attached job description file and rank the candidates from most qualified to least qualified. Thank you!** 24 | 1. You now must attach to the prompt the **Job description - Senior Animation Designer.docx** file that you saved to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder at the end of the prior exercise. In the **Copilot** window, select the **+Add content** button. In the menu that appears, select the **Files** tab. If the job description file appears in the list of files, select it. Otherwise, enter **Job** in the **Select** field, locate the job description file that you saved to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder in the prior exercise, and then select it. Note how the file is displayed in the prompt. 25 | 1. Repeat the prior step for each of the four resumes that you downloaded and then select the **Generate** icon. 26 | 1. Review the report that Copilot generated. It appears to you that if the information is presented in a table format, then it might be easier for you to review the candidate's qualifications to see if you agree with Copilot's recommendation. Enter the following prompt: **Please generate a new draft of this report. This time, enter the information for each candidate into a table for easier comparison. In the table, place each candidate in a separate column, and create rows for Skills related to key responsibilities, Performance metrics, Education, Experience, and Leadership.** 27 | 1. You're now looking at the second draft of the report (2 of 2) that compares the resumes using different report formatting. Copilot gives you the ability to regenerate however many drafts you want until you find one that you prefer. Select the backward arrow to move back to the first draft. Review the format. Select the forward arrow to move back to the second draft. Review the format. Repeat this process until you decide which draft you want to use. Make sure you're looking at the preferred draft and then select the **Keep it** button. 28 | 1. You decide to have Copilot help with one last thing. Now that you kept the draft of your choice, you're no longer in Draft mode. As such, you must select the **Copilot** button on the right side of the Word ribbon for the **Home** tab to continue using Copilot. 29 | 1. In the Copilot pane that appears, enter the following prompt to have Copilot help determine what your salary offer should be for each candidate based on their ranking (in case any of the candidates reject your offer and you have to make an offer to another candidate): **Determine the average pay scale for Senior Animation Designers. What would be the recommended annual salary that we should offer each candidate based on their ranking?** 30 | 1. Based on this prompt, Copilot should access the web to determine the average pay scale for Senior Animation Designers and then return recommendations for each candidate. If Copilot's response provides a general salary range but doesn't provide a specific salary recommendation for each candidate, then enter the following prompt: **Thank you for the salary range. However, I'm interested in knowing what salary I should offer to each of the four candidates based on their ranking in the report. Can you please provide a suggested salary for each candidate.** 31 | > [!NOTE] 32 | > If Copilot generates a partial answer but then returns an error message indicating something went wrong, then repeat this step. Our testing has shown that it sometimes takes multiple attempts for Copilot to get it right. If it still doesn’t generate the expected result after a couple of tries, then proceed to the next step. 33 | 1. At this point, Copilot has either generated a general salary range or a specific salary ranking by employee. Regardless of your outcome, you want Copilot to insert its response in the document. To do so, place your cursor at the end of the report. To ensure proper formatting, select **Normal** in the ribbon that appears for the **Home** tab. Then select the **Insert** button in the Copilot pane to insert the salary information into the report. 34 | 1. Since you don't use this report in the remaining exercises, you can close this tab in your Edge browser. 35 | 36 | 37 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M04-empower-workforce-copilot-marketing/2-conduct-market-analysis.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Conduct market analysis using Microsoft 365 Business Chat 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is accessible through Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. You can use Copilot Chat in the web, mobile, and desktop versions of Microsoft 365 apps, including Teams and Outlook. Additionally, Copilot Chat is available at Microsoft365.com/copilot. This exercise utilizes the Copilot Chat functionality in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app. 4 | 5 | When you use Copilot Chat, it's important to provide context and resources when you craft your prompts. The quality of the response is a function of how the user crafts the request. By following these tips and choosing the right conversation style (either More Creative, More Balanced, or More Precise), you can have a great conversation with Copilot Chat and get the most out of its capabilities. 6 | 7 | ### Exercise - Conduct a market analysis using different conversation styles 8 | 9 | As the Director for Market Research at Tailspin Toys, you must conduct a market analysis of the toy industry and then provide the results to the company's Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Your goal is to identify the latest trends, consumer preferences, and the most popular toys in the market. You plan to use Copilot Chat to generate the analysis. In doing so, you apply different best practices for creating effective prompts. 10 | 11 | Perform the following steps to conduct the market analysis using Copilot Chat: 12 | 13 | 1. In **Microsoft Edge**, open a new tab and enter the following URL: **https://M365copilot.com** 14 | 1. Depending on which Copilot plan you're using, your **Copilot** page displays either a **Work/Web** toggle or it accesses Web content only. If your Copilot page has a **Work/Web** toggle, then select the **Web** toggle switch. 15 | 1. In the prompt field, enter the following prompt and then select the **Submit** icon: **I'm the Director for Market Research for Tailspin Toys, a U.S. based toy manufacturer. Conduct a market analysis of the toy industry to identify sales figures, the latest trends, consumer preferences, and the most popular toys in the market**. 16 | 1. Review the market analysis that Copilot generated. You realize that a general request such as the one you submitted provides basic information such as market trends, consumer preferences, and toy trends. However, you're also interested in gathering data on the toy industry, including market share and consumer feedback. You realized that you were a little too vague in your prior prompt since you failed to request this specific information. You remember the best practice suggestions from your earlier training - Be polite and iterate, iterate, iterate. Enter the following prompt to amend the market analysis: **That analysis was great. However, I'm also interested in including data on the toy industry, including market share and consumer feedback. Please amend your prior analysis to include this information. Thanks**! 17 | 1. You realize that you're getting closer to your goal, but you're still missing some key information. After reviewing your prior prompts, you notice that you provided Copilot with your overall objective, the scope of the analysis, and the data that you needed. However, you failed to ask Copilot to analyze all this information so that you can make informed decisions on Tailspin Toys' business plan for the upcoming year. To correct this shortcoming, enter the following prompt: **I think all the data is complete. With all the information that you captured, please analyze the data and identify patterns, trends, and insights that can help me determine what Tailspin Toys' business plan should be for the upcoming year**. **After you complete your analysis, please amend your findings to the end of your previous report.** 18 | 1. If Copilot generated a section that analyzed the data but didn't add it to the previous report, enter the following prompt: **You failed to amend your findings to the end of the previous report, following the Most Popular Toy section. Can you please do that now. Thanks!** 19 | 1. You really like the information that Copilot provided. However, since this project is your first opportunity to provide a market analysis report to your company's SLT, you're not sure if you're covering everything that might be of interest to them. You decide to have Copilot help you determine if you're missing anything. Enter the following prompt: **Please analyze the data in this market analysis and business plan report that you generated. Is there any other information that a toy company would typically request for market analysis and business plans that I failed to request? If so, can you please add this information to the end of the previous report, after the Recommendations for Tailspin Toys' Business Plan section. Thank you**! 20 | 1. Based on the information that Copilot provides, you realize that you can really maximize the effectiveness of your reports by having Copilot include an analysis of these areas. To put the finishing touch on your reports, enter the following prompt: **Please amend the report one final time to include an analysis of each area for the Toy industry. Also update the business plan that you created for Tailspin Toys based on these insights. Thanks**! 21 | 1. During our testing, Copilot sometimes didn't update the report following this prior prompt. If that happens to you, enter the following prompt: **This final revision of the report is an exact replica of the version before it. You failed to include an analysis of each area for the Toy industry. You also didn't update the business plan based on these insights. Can you please amend the report to include this information.** In our testing, this prompt sometimes worked and other times didn’t. Again, remember that Copilot is still a work in progress, and these types of issues might occur. 22 | 23 | ### A retrospective - Prompting best practices 24 | 25 | In the previous exercise, you implemented several best practices for creating effective prompts. While it took you several attempts to gather all the information that you wanted, you successfully created the report that you envisioned. You also included other information that you never considered at the start. Let's review this exercise by analyzing some of the best practices to effective prompting that you implemented: 26 | 27 | - **Give Copilot a point of view from which to answer**. You did so by telling Copilot that you were the Director for Market Research at Tailspin Toys, a toy manufacturer. This information helped Copilot understand the context of your request so that it could generate more accurate responses. 28 | - **Know what to avoid when creating a prompt**. After your first prompt, you realized you were a bit vague in your initial request. Don't worry - vagueness is a common issue with many Copilot prompts. That's one of the reasons why Microsoft recommends the "Iterate, iterate, iterate" best practice. In this case, you corrected the shortcoming by asking for more detailed information. In fact, you kept building upon each successive request once you discovered that you were missing specific information. 29 | - **Be polite**. You used basic etiquette when you interacted with Copilot. Doing so helped Copilot generate respectful, collaborative outputs. It mirrored the levels of your professionalism, clarity, and detail in the inputs you provide. 30 | - **Be curious**. At a certain point, you couldn't think of anything else to add to your market analysis and business plan. However, instead of stopping at that point, you asked Copilot what other toy companies typically include in these types of reports, and then you asked it to include that information in yours. 31 | - **Iterate, iterate, iterate.** Throughout this exercise, you demonstrated how working with Copilot is a dynamic and interactive process. You and Copilot worked together to create content, solve complex problems, and learn new information based on your goals, expectations, and feedback. You realized that your initial prompt was just the beginning, and you kept digging deeper to generate more relevant outputs. 32 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M03-empower-workforce-copilot-it/3-manage-assets.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | # Manage IT assets using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel 3 | --- 4 | An IT manager is responsible for managing a large inventory of hardware, software licenses, and other assets within an organization. Each asset must be tracked, updated, and reported regularly to ensure that the IT infrastructure remains operational and compliant. The manager is tasked with analyzing asset data, identifying gaps, and making data-driven decisions to improve resource allocation. 5 | 6 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel is a popular tool for helping managers streamline data analysis, generate insights, and automate repetitive tasks, making the process more efficient and less error prone. In this exercise, you take on the role of an IT manager who plans to use Copilot in Excel to assist in asset management and reporting. 7 | 8 | ### Exercise 9 | 10 | As the IT Manager at Contoso Ltd., you oversee the company's critical IT infrastructure, including managing the company's hardware assets such as laptops, printers, servers, routers, and switches. These assets are essential to the productivity of employees, and ensuring their availability, performance, and security is crucial. One of your primary tasks is to track and manage the lifecycle of these assets, including warranty information, repair history, and current status. 11 | 12 | However, this process is currently handled manually and is both time-consuming and prone to errors. You rely on various spreadsheets to track asset information such as purchase dates, warranty expiration dates, repair histories, and departmental allocation. Despite your best efforts, it's becoming increasingly difficult to monitor all the data effectively. It's easy to miss critical warranty expiration dates, leading to unexpected repair costs, and the manual process for analyzing asset trends leaves little room for quick decision-making. 13 | 14 | Recognizing the need for a more efficient and accurate approach, you plan to use Copilot in Excel to: 15 | 16 | Quickly analyze a file containing a list of company assets to identify key trends and issues related to your IT assets and their warranties. 17 | 18 | Automatically generate insightful charts and reports to visualize asset data and identify warranty patterns that require immediate attention. 19 | 20 | Perform the following steps to complete these tasks using Copilot in Excel. 21 | 22 | 1. Select the following link to download Contoso's asset management spreadsheet: [Contoso Asset Data](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2320505) 23 | 1. Once the download is complete, open **File Explorer** and copy the file from your **Downloads** folder to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 24 | 1. In this exercise, you access the document from the Most Recently Used file list in Excel. To get the file to appear in the MRU list, open the document and then close it. 25 | 1. Open your Edge browser (if necessary) and navigate to the **Microsoft 365** home page by entering the following URL: **https://www.office.com** 26 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, select the **Excel** icon in the navigation pane on the left. If the icon doesn't appear, select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and then select **Excel** from the **Apps** page. 27 | 1. In **Excel**, scroll down to the list of all files in the MRU list. The **All** tab is displayed by default. Select the **Contoso Asset Data** file. 28 | 1. With the spreadsheet open in **Excel**, select the **Copilot** option on the right side of the ribbon (if the ribbon isn't displayed, hover over the **Home** tab). Doing so opens the **Copilot** pane. 29 | 1. You want to begin by having Copilot identify the assets whose warranties are either past due or due to expire in the next 30, 60, and 90 days. As it does so, you want Copilot to highlight past due warranties in red, warranties due to expire in 30 days (0-30 days) in yellow, warranties due to expire in 60 days (31-60 days) in gray, and warranties due to expire in 90 days (61-90 days) in green. To complete this task, Copilot must create conditional formatting rules to highlight the assets in this manner. Once it defines these rules, you can then direct Copilot to apply them.

To have Copilot create these conditional formatting rules, enter the following prompt in the prompt field at the bottom of the Copilot pane: **Create the following 4 conditional formatting rules that apply to the column "Warranty Expiration Date". If the date is prior to today's date, then highlight it in red. If the date is due to expire in the next 30 days, then highlight it in yellow. If the date is due to expire 31 to 60 days from now, then highlight it in gray. If the date is due to expire 61 to 90 days from now, then highlight it in green**. 30 | 1. Review each of the conditional formatting rules that Copilot creates. Take special note of the 60-day rule. While you asked Copilot to highlight these assets in Gray, our testing usually found that Copilot assigned White as the fill color. If this happens to you, then enter the following prompt: **In the third rule that you created, you assigned White as the fill color. Please assign Gray instead**. When Copilot responds to this prompt, verify the fill color is now Gray (or Light Gray). 31 | 1. If the rules appear to be correct, select the **Apply** button that appears after the conditional rules. Verify the rules are applied correctly. 32 | 1. Now let's take a look at how Copilot in Excel can analyze the data in this spreadsheet and create various graphics that represent the data request. Let's begin by entering the following prompt: **Create a bar chart that shows the number of Active laptops by Department**. 33 | 1. Review the bar chart. Now let's have Copilot create a pie chart based on this same data. Enter the following prompt: **Create a pie chart that shows the number of Active laptops by Department**. 34 | 1. Note how the pie chart that appears in the Copilot pane doesn't include a legend. However, select the **+Add to a new sheet** button that appears below the pie chart. In turn, Copilot adds the pie chart to **Sheet2**, and it displays the list of active laptops by department and a legend below the pie chart. 35 | 1. In **Sheet2**, select the pie chart. Doing so opens a detailed pane for the pivot table used to create this chart. 36 | 1. Select **Sheet1**. You must be on the actual spreadsheet to make a Copilot request that analyzes the spreadsheet data. Copilot sometimes displays an error message if you stay on Sheet 2 and submit a prompt based on the data in Sheet1. Other times, it provides instruction on how to complete your prompt request given the limited data in the pivot table on the current sheet. In either case, you should select the sheet containing the spreadsheet data before you proceed. 37 | 1. On **Sheet 1**, repeat steps 11-14, except this time use the following two prompts (where the pie chart is added to Sheet3): 38 | - **Create a bar chart that shows the number of Active laptops whose warranty has expired by Department**. 39 | > [!NOTE] 40 | > In our testing, sometimes Copilot is unable to create this chart. If that's the case with your request, change the prompt to: **Create a bar chart that shows the number of Active laptops whose warranty expiration date is less than today's date by Department**. If you must rewrite the prompt in this manner, it just shows that sometimes Copilot needs a little further explanation to understand your request. 41 | - **Create a pie chart that shows the number of Active laptops whose warranty has expired by Department**. 42 | 1. Select **Sheet1**. 43 | 1. On **Sheet 1**, let's see how Copilot in Excel can generate a report based on the spreadsheet data. Submit the following prompt: **Create a report that shows the number of Active laptops whose warranty will be expiring in the next 90 days by Department**. 44 | 1. Note how the report that's generated in the Copilot pane is hard to understand given the limited space available on the pane. To see the report in its entirety, select the **+Add to a new sheet** button that appears below the report data. Upon doing so, Copilot adds the report to **Sheet4**. Review the report and note the level of detail that Copilot in Excel provides. 45 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M09-empower-workforce-copilot-customer-service/5-create-customer-call-template.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Create a customer call summary template using Copilot in OneNote 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft OneNote has long been a go-to tool for organizing information, taking notes, and tracking ongoing work. With the addition of Copilot, it becomes a powerful assistant that helps Customer Support professionals structure their thoughts, streamline documentation, and create templates that boost efficiency across the team. Instead of manually formatting notes after every call or meeting, support reps can use Copilot to generate clean, consistent summaries that are easy to review and share. 4 | 5 | Copilot in OneNote can help create reusable templates for capturing client interactions, including fields for client information, issues discussed, actions taken, and follow-ups required. It can also suggest tags for categorizing different types of cases, making it easier to search and reference later. For support teams dealing with high volumes of customer calls or recurring issues, this feature turns OneNote into more than a note-taking tool it becomes a lightweight case tracking system tailored to your needs. 6 | 7 | By using Copilot in OneNote, support professionals save time, reduce inconsistency, and ensure that key details are never missed. Whether you're logging call notes, creating onboarding checklists, or drafting internal documentation, Copilot helps you focus less on formatting and more on delivering excellent customer service. 8 | 9 | ## Exercise 10 | 11 | As the Customer Service Manager at Adventure Works Cycles, you're looking to standardize how your team documents customer interactions during calls. Right now, customer support reps are taking notes in various formats, leading to inconsistencies in how client concerns, actions, and follow-ups are tracked. To ensure all critical information is captured efficiently and consistently, you decide to create a standardized call summary template that your team can use for every client interaction. This template should help improve internal communication, provide clarity on next steps, and ensure no critical details are overlooked. 12 | 13 | To accomplish this goal, you plan to use Copilot in OneNote to generate a reusable template that captures all the essential elements of each client call, from the initial concern to the resolution and follow-up steps. Copilot can help in creating sections for client details, a summary of the issue, and space for internal notes that don't need to be shared with the client. By ensuring the template is easy to fill out in real time, you can create a tool that saves your team valuable time, helps improve data consistency, and supports quicker responses for future calls. You plan to save this template in a shared notebook, making it accessible to the entire customer support team for use across the board. 14 | 15 | 1. If you have **Microsoft 365** open in a tab, then proceed to the next step. Otherwise, open a new tab in your **Microsoft Edge** browser, and then enter the following URL: [**https://www.office.com**](https://www.office.com) 16 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, select **OneNote** if it appears in the left-hand navigation pane. If it doesn't appear there, then select **Apps**, and on the **Apps** page, locate **OneNote** and then select it. 17 | 1. In **Microsoft OneNote**, under the Create new section, select **Blank notebook**. 18 | 1. In the New notebook window that appears, enter **Support team shared notebook** in the **Notebook name** field, and then select the **Create** button. 19 | 1. In the notebook, you should begin by adding a new section. In the Section column, select **+Add section**. In the **Section Name** window that appears, enter **Call Templates**. This name keeps all reusable templates for call documentation in one place, making them easy to find and expand later (for example, different templates for support, sales, or onboarding calls). 20 | 1. Within your new **Call Templates** section, you should add a new page. You don't need to select **+Add page**, since an **Untitled Page** was already created for you by default. If you did select **+Add page** by accident, you now have two untitled pages. In this case, right-click on one of the untitled pages and select **Delete Page** from the drop-down menu. At the top of the page, OneNote displays a line followed by the current date and time. Select into the space that appears above the line. This field is the heading for the page. In this heading field, enter **Customer Service Call Summary Template**. 21 | 22 | > [!TIP] 23 | > If you try to copy and paste this name in the heading field, OneNote pastes it into the body of the page, which you don't want. You must manually type this name in the heading field. 24 | 25 | 1. On the ribbon at the top of the page, select **Copilot**. 26 | 1. In the **Copilot** pane that appears, enter the following prompt: **Create a call summary template for customer service reps to log client concerns, actions taken, and follow-up steps**. 27 | 1. Note how Copilot displays its generated response in the Copilot detail pane rather than in the OneNote page. This process is similar to how Copilot works in Word. You must copy and paste the template into the OneNote page. Select the **Copy** icon that appears at that bottom of Copilot's generated response. Then select into the page below the date and time and select **Ctrl+V** to paste in Copilot's response. 28 | 1. Note how the **Copy** icon in the Copilot pane copied not only the template, but also the conversational text that Copilot generated - such as, "Sure I can help with that!" Highlight any of the conversational text that appears above and below the **Customer Service Call Summary Template** and delete it. 29 | 1. You noticed that your original prompt was missing some key data. To address this shortcoming, enter the following prompt in the Copilot pane: **Please include fields for: Client Name, Date, Contact Method, Summary of Issue, Resolution, Follow-Up Needed**. 30 | 1. Review the generated response, which you feel is much more complete. Select the **Copy** icon that appears below the response. On the OneNote page, highlight the original template information that you previously pasted in then select the **Delete** button to delete it. Rather than deleting the highlighted text, you could have selected **Ctrl+V**, which would have replaced the original version with Copilot's latest version that you just copied. However, each time we attempted to this step in our testing, the lasted version was pasted in the page in a bulleted list fashion, with each line preceded by a bullet. We found that by deleting the original version and then pasting the copied new version, it was pasted in properly. As you did before, highlight and delete any of the extraneous conversational text that was copied from Copilot's response. 31 | 1. While you're happy with how the template is looking thus far, there's one final change that you want to make. You want Copilot to recommend dropdowns or tags for categorization. This feature should help your customer service reps quickly identify and log the nature of the client's concerns. To do so, enter the following prompt in the Copilot pane: **Suggest dropdowns or tags that we can use to categorize issues (for example, billing, technical, feature request)**. 32 | 1. Note how Copilot generated a new version of the template that included a section of issue categories. While you could delete the current version of the template from the page and paste in the entire new version just like you did before, this time you decide just to copy and paste in the category section. In the Copilot pane, highlight the categories section, select **Ctrl+C** to copy the highlighted text, then place your cursor in the current template on the OneNote page at the location you desire (such as in front of the **Summary of Issue** field) and then select **Ctrl+V** to paste in the category text. 33 | 1. You're satisfied with the current template, but you want to ask Copilot how you can improve the layout. To do so, enter the following prompt: **How can I improve the layout to make it visually easy to scan and enable support reps to quickly fill it out during live calls with a customer**? 34 | 1. Copilot may respond with formatting improvements, such as tables, headers, bullet points, or color-coded sections. You can accept, reject, or modify the suggestions if you wish. 35 | 1. Once you finish updating the template with any other changes, you can close the Microsoft Edge browser tab. 36 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M04-empower-workforce-copilot-marketing/4-consolidate-multiple-reports.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Consolidate multiple marketing reports using Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word 2 | --- 3 | Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word is an AI-powered writing assistant that can help Marketing professionals create documents more efficiently. In a document with existing content, Copilot can help you transform the content. It can rewrite selected content or even transform selected content into a table. Copilot in Word can help Marketing professionals save time and effort when creating documents. It can help you generate content, rewrite text, and provide helpful suggestions. 4 | 5 | Copilot in Word can help Marketing professionals in various ways, such as: 6 | 7 | - **Creating engaging content**. Copilot in Word can assist marketing professionals in creating engaging content for their blog and social media. 8 | - **Analyzing customer feedback**. Copilot in Word can help marketing professionals analyze customer feedback and engagement data to identify trends and insights. They can use this information to tailor future marketing strategies, resulting in increased online engagement and customer reach. 9 | - **Generating marketing reports**. Copilot in Word can help marketing professionals generate reports on their marketing campaigns, including data on customer engagement, conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI). 10 | - **Optimizing email communication**. Copilot in Word can assist marketing professionals in refining their email responses and strategizing customer engagement tactics, ensuring prompt and effective communication. 11 | - **Preparing meeting agendas**. Copilot in Word can help marketing professionals prepare meeting agendas, ensuring that all important topics are covered and that meetings are productive, and outcome driven. 12 | 13 | In this exercise, you use Copilot in Word to create a single report by combining three separate reports into one. You then use Copilot to modify the report with additional information. 14 | 15 | When you use Copilot in Word to generate a new document, it creates a draft of the document. If you request that Copilot add or change something in the document, it regenerates a new draft of the document with the changes applied. You continue working in Copilot draft mode, where Copilot makes all the requested changes for you. Once you're satisfied with the latest draft, you select the **Keep it** button. Doing so changes the document from a Copilot draft to a Word document. Should you try to manually change anything when you're in draft mode, the Copilot window disappears. While you can select the Copilot icon on the Word ribbon to open the Copilot pane, the **Regenerate** option isn't available, since you're no longer working in Copilot draft mode. 16 | 17 | ### Exercise 18 | 19 | As the Latin America (LATAM) Marketing Director for Contoso Beverage, a division of Contoso, Ltd., your product manager provided you with three separate reports involving the company's Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea beverage. However, you're finding it difficult to analyze the information, since you're constantly jumping back and forth between documents. 20 | 21 | You decide to use Copilot in Word to combine the reports into a single LATAM Market Analysis report for Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea. Once Copilot creates this report, you want to review it and possibly update it with other information that Copilot can find on the Chai Tea market in Latin America. 22 | 23 | Perform the following steps to create this market analysis report using Copilot in Word: 24 | 25 | 1. Select the following links to download copies of these reports: 26 | - [Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea product description](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2268929) 27 | - [Contoso Chai Tea market trends](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269122) 28 | - [Promotion Plan for Chai Tea in Latin America](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2269126) 29 | 1. Once the downloads are complete, open **File Explorer** and move the files from your **Downloads** folder to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 30 | 1. In this exercise, you access the documents from the Most Recently Used (MRU) file list. To get the files to appear in the MRU list, open and close each of the three files in your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder. 31 | 1. Open your Edge browser (if necessary) and navigate to the **Microsoft 365** home page by entering the following URL: **https://www.office.com** 32 | 1. On the **Microsoft 365** home page, select the **Word** icon in the navigation pane on the left. If the icon doesn't appear, select **Apps** in the navigation pane, and then select **Word** from the **Apps** page. 33 | 1. In **Microsoft 365**, open a blank document. 34 | 1. In the **Copilot** window that appears at the top of the blank document, enter the following prompt, but don't select the **Generate** button until after you link the three files to the prompt: **I'm the LATAM Marketing Director for Contoso Beverage. Please create a LATAM Market Analysis report for our Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea beverage. Combine the three attached files to create a report that describes the product, analyzes the market trend for it, and includes a promotion plan for Latin America**. 35 | 1. You now must attach the three documents to the prompt. In the **Draft with Copilot** window, select the **+Add content** button. In the drop-down menu that appears, if the **Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea product description.docx** file appears in the list of files, select it. Otherwise, following the prompt enter **/mystic**. The **Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea product description.docx** file should appear. Select the file. Note how the file is displayed in the prompt. 36 | 1. Repeat the prior step for both the **Contoso Chai Tea market trends.docx** file and the **Promotion Plan for Chai Tea in Latin America.docx** file. At this point, links to all three files should appear in the prompt. 37 | 1. Select the **Generate** (arrow) icon in the prompt field. Upon doing so, Copilot extracts the pertinent information from the three files and drafts a report that combines them into a single Market Analysis report for Mystic Spice Premium Chai Tea.

After reviewing this first draft of the Market Analysis report, you recognize that it's missing some critical information. You would like to see it include a section titled **Competitive Analysis**. You want Copilot to analyze the competition. To do so, enter the following prompt in the Copilot window at the bottom of the report and then select the **Generate** arrow: **This is a good start. However, please add a section titled Competitive Analysis. In this section, analyze the current competition in the Latin American Chai Tea market. Compare key players in the industry, such as established brands and emerging startups. Focus on their market share, product offerings, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and any key differentiators. Additionally, identify trends or shifts in consumer preferences that could affect the competitive landscape.** 38 | 1. Note in the Copilot prompt window that it indicates this is draft 2 of 2. After reviewing this second draft of the report that contains the new Competitive Analysis section, you realize that one last thing is missing. You want Copilot to add a section titled **Distribution Channels**. This section should analyze the distribution channels used to sell Chai Tea in Latin America. To do so, enter the following prompt in the **Copilot** window at the bottom of the report and then select the **Generate** arrow: **Nice job! One last thing. Please add a section titled Distribution Channels. Review the distribution channels used to sell Chai Tea in Latin America and then provide information in this section on the types of retailers, wholesalers, and distributors used**. 39 | 1. Since this is the third draft of the report, note how the Copilot prompt window indicates this is draft 3 of 3. If you preferred one of the earlier drafts, you could select the back arrow to go back to either the first or second draft and then save that draft as your actual Word document. But in this instance, you're satisfied with the final draft. So, on draft 3 of 3, select the **Keep it** button to convert this third Copilot draft to a Word document. 40 | 1. Review the Word document. If you want to make any manual changes, you can do so now. Once you're satisfied with it, feel free to save the document to your **Microsoft - OneDrive** folder if you wish to keep it for future reference, or just discard it. 41 | 1. Close this tab in your Microsoft Edge browser. 42 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /Instructions/Labs/M02-empower-workforce-copilot-sales/4-prepare-meeting-notes-from-emails.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 2 | # Prepare your meeting notes from emails using Microsoft 365 Business Chat 3 | --- 4 | In today's dynamic business landscape, effective communication is key to staying ahead. As Sales personnel navigate the vast ocean of information, Microsoft 365 Copilot emerges as a powerful tool they can use to streamline their communication experience. Within Teams, Copilot empowers you with a quick and efficient overview of key discussions, ensuring they stay informed without being overwhelmed. This Copilot feature accesses the specific chat thread that you opened. You can ask Copilot to search beyond that 30-day mark if necessary. 10 | 11 | The focus of this exercise is on Copilot Chat in Teams, which accesses your Teams and Outlook data. This scenario is a common task for Sales professionals. When Copilot Chat synthesizes your data in this manner, it reaches across your Microsoft 365 tenant to gather this information. 21 | 22 | ### Exercise 23 | 24 | Think of an actual project that you participated in over the past 30 days. Chances are, you received an almost endless number of emails, not to mention all the meetings and virtual discussions that you participated in. You're feeling a bit overwhelmed as you struggle to remember all the key points that were covered in all these different communication threads. If only there was an AI tool that could synthesize all your communication history and provide a concise recap of all activity for a given thread. And then it dawns on you. 25 | 26 | You remember hearing about a Microsoft 365 Copilot feature that was added to Microsoft Teams. It can review all your communication activity across both Outlook and Teams, provide a summation of that activity, and determine the action items that you're responsible for. You decide to take advantage of this Copilot Chat in Teams feature to save you the time and effort needed to manually review all your communication activity. 27 | 28 | Perform the following steps using Copilot Chat in Teams to synthesize your communications involving an actual thread you're involved in. At the same time, you plan to employ the prompting best practice of "iterate, iterate, iterate" by digging deeper into those items. 29 | 30 | 1. You should look through threads in BOTH your Outlook Inbox and your Teams Chat to find a topic or project name that appears in both your emails and chats. You should identify the name of this topic/project so that you can enter it in a Copilot prompt in an upcoming step. 31 | 1. In **Microsoft Teams**, select **Copilot** in the navigation pane on the left-side of the screen. Doing so opens the **Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat** window within Teams. 32 | 1. Verify the **Work/Web** toggle switch that appears at the top of the page is set to **Work**. The toggle determines whether Copilot uses internal organizational data (**Work**) or the broader internet (**Web**). Since you want to summarize emails, meetings, and chats—which are internal data—then the toggle must be set to **Work**. If it's accidentally set to **Web**, Copilot won’t access your Outlook, Teams, or organizational data, which can lead to confusing or irrelevant results, or a response saying it can’t access that data. 33 | 1. In the **Copilot Chat** window, enter the following text in the prompt at the bottom of the page. Replace "topic/project of your choice" with the name that you chose from the first step, and then select the **Send** icon. **Summarize all my emails, meetings, and chats over the past 30 days related to {topic/project of your choice}**. 34 | 1. After Copilot responds with a summary of each communication, note the prompts that appear above the main prompt field at the bottom of the page. Copilot generated these prompts based on the summarized list of data that it returned. For example, you may see prompts such as: 35 | - "List any action items for me" 36 | - "Provide more details on the meeting with {person's name}" 37 | - "Summarize the key decisions from these communications" 38 | - "Draft an email to the team about the project participation" 39 | 1. Select one of these prompts to see how Copilot Chat in Teams responds. When you review the response, note how the Copilot-generated prompts change based on the prompt that you selected. 40 | 1. Note the iterative nature of this design. As you continue submitting Copilot-generated prompts, each response includes a new set of prompts associated with the data that Copilot returned. This design enables you to continue digging deeper into the communication history of the project, while also requesting that Copilot perform specific tasks in follow-up. For example, emailing a person or team, identifying deadlines, and so on. 41 | 1. You now want to know what action items you're responsible for from the list of emails, meetings, and chats that Copilot Chat gathered. Enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Based on the information that you synthesized from my emails, meetings, and chats, create a list of action items that I'm responsible for**. 42 | 1. Review the list of action items that Copilot identified. While this list is a good start, you feel that Copilot can make the information even more valuable by ranking the action items based on their order of importance. Enter the following prompt and select the **Send** icon: **Please rank these action items by order of importance**. 43 | 1. Review Copilot's response. While it tries to rank the items, "order of importance" can be a subjective filter that can vary depending on the specific context and priorities of the project. Copilot may be able to make this distinction based on the nature of your action items. Or it may be unable to determine which items are most important. If the latter occurs, you may need to follow the prompting best practice of: **Iterate, iterate, iterate**. Instead of listing action items by order of importance, which Copilot might not be able to do based on your action items, instead focus on the action items that are related to a specific person, meeting, or topic that's of importance to you. In this case, enter the following prompt and replace {person/meeting/topic name of your choice} with the name of the person, meeting, or topic that you want to focus on first: **In all the action items that you found for me, which ones involve {person/meeting/topic name of your choice}?** And even if Copilot ranked your action items, you could still try this prompt to see how Copilot responds. 44 | 1. You should review the list of action items that Copilot provides. If you wish, ask Copilot other questions, or direct it to complete any other task that may be of interest to you related to this project or topic. 45 | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
