1 | # NES Revival Classic Power Board RCA Edition 2.0
2 |
3 | Check out the Virtual BOM and Placement of these components on this Board.
4 | [Link](https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/ShawMerlin/NES-Power-Module-Redesign/blob/main/Classic%20Composite%20Edition/Version%202.0b/IBOM_NES_PowerBoard_Classic_RCA_V2.0b.html)
5 |
6 | The below improvements have been made to Version 2.0v over our last release of 1.8v.
7 |
8 | Updates 2/14/2023
9 | - Upgraded the Full Bridge Rectifier to one that can do 5 Amps. The old version was getting pretty warm.
10 | - Beefier DC Input Jack that can handle 5 Amps (old one could only do 2.5 amps)
11 | - This Board has been tested pulling 3 Amps max without issue.
12 | - Ground stitching over audio traces to help prevent any static and noise that would be coming from the Buck Converter.
13 | - The Power LED turns on now when the Solder Bridge has been made. Meaning it can be disabled by removing the bridge.
14 | - Most all parts are SMD now and made easy for an Assembly House like JLCPCB to build the PCB and Assemble for you.
15 | - BOM and POS files are included that Assembly Houses will need.

1 | **1/15/2025 - Version 3.1c**
2 | - Updated a mistake in the BOM for the Digikey Part number to be correct on the Q1 Transistor.
3 | - https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/evvo/2SA1015/22482092
4 | - Updated C12 to be 560pF, 1nF will work fine but 560pF produces a slightly sharper picture.
5 | - https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/kemet/C0805C561J5GACAUTO/10642381
6 | - Updated Switching Regulator from Digikey to the H Variant in the BOM - 1/17/2025
7 | - https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/texas-instruments/TPS54202HDDCR/6026259
8 |
9 | **6/15/2024 - Version 3.1c**
10 | - It's been a long time coming but I wanted to make sure the RGBNES Versions were perfect.
11 | - This uses the exact same voltage regulator as the RGBNES Compantion Board.
12 | - GND Loop issue has been resolved.
13 | - 2 Audio Ports to give Duo Mono Sound.
14 | - Gerbers will be released for this later next week.
15 |
16 |
17 |
18 |
19 | **2/06/2024 3.0 Update**
20 | - I am in the process of testing our new 3.0 design with lots of great feedback from our community.
21 | - At this time, I do not recommend having any of the 2.0 boards built.
22 | - If you have already invested time/money into the older boards, Please contact me so we can work something out.
23 | - I have an official Statement on these new boards within a few weeks.
24 |
25 |
26 | **4/01/2023 2.1 Update**
27 | - Create a Full Bridge Rectifier out of SMC Diodes for better heat dissapation into the PCB Board.
28 | - Changed the 6.8uH Inductor to a 10uH inductor per the datasheet in order to reduce noise.
29 | - Added an Input Inductor on the voltage regulator to reduce ringing on the circuit.
30 | - Added a 1.9A Fuse for safety and including a tripped fuse LED indicator.
31 | - Added more filtering caps on the 5v Output (47uF, 22uF, .1uF, 50pF)
32 |
33 |
34 |
35 |
36 | **2/14/2023 2.0 Update**
37 | - Upgraded the Full Bridge Rectifier to one that can do 5 Amps. The old version was getting pretty warm.
38 | - Beefier DC Input Jack that can handle 5 Amps (old one could only do 2.5 amps)
39 | - This Board has been tested pulling 3 Amps max without issue.
40 | - Ground stitching over audio traces to help prevent any static and noise that would be coming from the Buck Converter.
41 | - The Power LED turns on now when the Solder Bridge has been made. Meaning it can be disabled by removing the bridge.
42 | - Most all parts are SMD now and made easy for an Assembly House like JLCPCB to build the PCB and Assemble for you.
43 | - BOM and POS files are included that Assembly Houses will need.
44 |
45 | **9/19/2022 Update**
46 | - Version 1.8 - Increased the Ground Stitching around the Video Trace and added Ground Stitching to the Audio Trace.
47 |
48 | I have uploaded the Gerbers for this board and also a Bill of Materials and Position File.
49 | You can use both these .CSV files to have JLCPCB provide and Assemble the SMD parts for you.

1 | For the lucky few that got the NES HDMI Board while it was available, there is an option for it with our boards.
2 | The NES HDMI Board uses the 9v input instead of the 5v regulated so there is no voltage regulator on this board.

6 | 2/26/2024 - An issue was discovered with the pinout on the Q1 Transistor. Version 3.1C was created to fix this pinout issue. If Version 3.1b
7 | has already been ordered, you can still use it but you have to rotate the transistor 90 degrees to put the legs in the right holes.
8 | Please reach out to me through email if you need help with this.
9 |
10 | 2/18/2024 - Changed to a 4 layer PCB Board to help with coupling the front and back layer to the inner gnd layers. This is only a few more
11 | dollars for the PCB but is well worth it for noise reduction.
12 |
13 | 1/28/2024 - Moved the NES GND Connection pad closer to the 7805
14 |
15 | 1/20/2024 - Complete Redesign on Version 3.0 to get the 7805 back to where it is on the original Power Module.
16 | This will allow for the orignal Heatsink to be used or Regulator TSR2-2450 if no Heatsink is wanted.
17 | Extra Modifications for a Common Mode Choke and Bypass Capacitors on 5V Out to help reduce all Noise.
18 |
19 |
20 | I added a Low Cost tab in the BOM if noise is not as big of a concern. Savings is about $5 from selecting these parts.

/GND Loop Solution.md:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 |
2 | ## A GND Loop discovery from the older NES Revival Power Modules.
3 |
4 | I first must express my appreciation for the Retro Community. Instead of tearing others down, they work to build and improve.
5 | My mindset has always been that every design can be improved and I will always welcome any and all feedback.
6 |
7 | A design flaw oversight was discovered from our power boards and community members brought this to my attention.
8 | The original GND to NES location was placed near the Full Bridge Rectifier with the thought of having a short retun path.
9 | My oversight was that the return path had to go all the way back to the Switching Regulator and then heads back to the rectifier.
10 | This large GND Loop results in ringing and other undesirable impacts to the overall circuit.
11 |
12 | While I do not believe that these power boards in the wild pose a danger to the NES, they will have a reduced life as a result.
13 | Currently, I have only seen about a 4% failure rate on people reporting back to me. (Which I feel is still too high).
14 | The whole idea behind this redesign from the beginning was to have a product that would last for years to come.
15 |
16 | This GND Loop only impacts the Power Boards with Switching Regulators. It does not exist on the 7805 designs.
17 | The suggestion for 2oz copper on the 7805 designs was to provide more copper for heat dissipation and not to couple noise frequencies.
18 | I would like the express my thanks to the Dubesinhower Discord Group for bringing this to my attention.
19 | I would also like to personally thank Zaxour for assisting with the new design layout. - https://twitter.com/zaxour
20 |
21 | If you have one of these boards that has failed and have not yet contacted me. Please reach out so I can provide a full replacement at no cost.
22 | To make right to the community that I love, I have 2 options for those that have a NES Revival Power Board and would like this fixed.
23 |
24 | ## Option #1 - A quick DIY Fix to shorten the GND Loop on the Power Board itself
25 |
26 | - Step 1 Just right of the bottom interconnect pin, scrap back the soldermask
27 |
28 |
29 | - Step 2 Place a ball of solder on this exposed GND section.
30 |
31 |
32 |
33 | - Step 3 Connect a GND Wire to that newly created pad and connect it to a nearby GND point on the NES Main Board
34 |
35 |
36 | - Step 4 Disconnect the original GNDing wire so that it's no longer on either the power module or the NES Main Board.
37 |
38 |
39 | ## Option #2 - A replacement Power Module will be offered at a heavily discounted rate.
40 | - If you have spent money/resources in any of these designs and would like a full replacement. Please reach out to me.
41 | - My email is Merlin(dot)Shaw@gmail(dot)com. Let me know how many replacements you need to cover the boards you have made/purchased.

3 | Items Needed
4 | - Soldering Iron - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089SKWMPT
5 | - Solder - https://www.amazon.com/MG-Chemicals-Leaded-Solder-Pocket/dp/B072JQ1JH4
6 | - Soldering Wick - https://www.amazon.com/SRA-Soldering-Desoldering-Damage-Free-Removal/dp/B09PZLZSNT
7 |
8 | Items Optional
9 | - Soldering Tips *(the one that come with the Iron are garbage)* - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QTW4LH5
10 | - Flux - https://www.amazon.com/AMTECH-NC-559-V2-TF-clean-free-tacky-hand-soldering/dp/B09NXCPNN3
11 | - Solder Sucker - https://www.amazon.com/Teenitor-Solder-Sucker-Desoldering-Removal/dp/B0739LXQ6N
12 |
13 | Tips
14 | - Always leave solder on iron when putting away. This will help the tip not to oxidize.
15 | - Use a thick tip so that lots of heat can transfer to the solder wick. Fine tips do not transfer heat well.
16 | - After Iron has heated up, clean the solder off on a sponge or brass cleaner and then tin the tip.
17 | - Do not go above 350 C on your soldering iron *(only exception will be for the large ground pads)*
18 | - Only leave the iron on the point for a few seconds, the longer you wait, the large the chance of pulling up the pad.
19 | - Use extra flux on the Solder Wick will help it quickly pull the solder out.
20 | - Put new solder and flux on all joints you want to desolder. *(Larger Solder masses will suck up easier)*
21 |
22 | Instructions
23 |
24 | On the Chip side of the NES Main Board, Remove the metal shield over the Power Module.
25 |
26 |
27 |
28 | Desolder the below 5 Pins highlighted in Yellow. Soldering Wick or a Soldering Gun should be used.
29 | Make sure each pin can move freely before moving on to the next step.
30 |
31 |
32 |
33 | Flip the board over and desolder the ground points highlighted in Yellow. Do NOT desolder the 5 pins in red.
34 |
35 |
36 |
37 | Carefully lift off the power module, This is what it will look like when the power modele has been removed.
38 |
39 |
40 |
41 | Position the new NES Powerboard on the pins, level and then solder it on.
42 |
43 |
44 |
45 |
46 |
47 | Connect a ground wire from the new NES Power Board to the ground plane on the main NES Board.
48 | The console will not power on if this is missed. Please make sure to verify you have done this correctly.
49 |
50 |
51 |
52 |
53 |
54 | #Tips for using Solder Braid
55 |
56 |
57 | Place the braid over unwanted solder, preferably on the greatest solder build up so that it maximizes the contact of the braid to the surface area of the solder.
58 |
59 | Next, place your iron tip over the wick at 45 degrees and allow heat to transfer to the pad. Molten solder will absorb into the braid.
60 |
61 | Move the solder tip and braid as needed to remove all of the solder at one time. Careful not to drag the braid over the pads, which can scratch.
62 |
63 | Once the braid is full of solder, you must trim the spent portion and move to fresh braid in order to pull more solder.
64 |
65 | Remove the iron and braid simultaneously to avoid soldering the wire to the board.

1 | # NES Revival - Power-Module Redesign
2 | Completely Redesigning the NES Power Module to Reduce Noise and EMI
3 |
4 |
5 | 1/30/2025
6 |
7 | I would like to thank the retro community for the love and support I have received over the years.
8 | At this time, I will no longer be offering these NES Boards on eBay or other channels.
9 | It's been a great couple of years but I must move on to other things in life.
10 | All of the Boards should have their Kicad files and Gerbers available on this Github.
11 |
12 | It's not too bad ordering 5 of them pre-assembled from JLCPCB and then just sell the other 4 to get a free board. :)
13 | I will not be able to provide support as well on these but I absolutely recommend the NES Help section on Dubesinhower Discord.
14 | https://x.com/dubesinhower?lang=en&mx=2
15 |
16 | There are a lot of amazing folks on that Discord Channel and in our community.
17 | Thank you for letting me be a part of it.

50 |
51 |
52 | The original NES Power Module from the 80's is very noisy. The Power Traces cross eachother and the ground home path is messy.
53 | EMI was not a worry in 1985 but noise can impact picture and sound quality

60 | # Goals with these new NES Power Modules
61 | - Full Ground Plane that is uninterrupted and is free of traces and components.
62 | - Power Traces that do not cross and have the GND plane below for a good return power signal.
63 | - Have a specific NES Power Module for each use case (not try and pile everything into one board)

84 |
85 | # For the few that own the NES HDMI Board, this module will provide very easy solder points without the need of the LDO.
86 |
87 |
88 |
89 | # Below is an example of the Orignal Power Module. Notice how the power traces keep crossing eachother and other components. Folks really didn't consider EMI a lot back then and opted to just cover the entire board in a metal shroud.

1 | The next rendition of the RGB Board will have the selector switches removed in favor of Solder Jumpers.
2 |
3 | # Solder Jumper Configurations
4 |
5 | The Boards will come pre-configured for both External Video and Audio (S1 & S3)
6 | If Internal Video or Audio is desired, then the above solder jumpers will have to be desoldered.
7 |
8 | ## Audio Selection *(Select either S1 or S2 but not both)*
9 | - S1 - External Audio
10 | - S2 - Internal Audio
11 | ## Video Selection *(Select either S3 or S4 but not both)*
12 | - S3 - External Video
13 | - S4 - Internal Video
14 | - S5 - Int Video Enable (Must be enabled if using S4)
15 | ## Power LED
16 | - S6 - Power LED Enable
17 |
18 | The board's internal audio circuit will not work if the RGBNES Pallettes are used.
19 | Bascially if using the RGBNES, External Video will be the only option that can be used.
20 | Desolder S4 & S5 if using the RGBNES and solder S3.
21 |
22 | S1 & S3 are both external inputs, these come directly from the J8 JST Cable.
23 | These must be hooked up to the RGBNES's outputs in order for them to work correctly.

1 | # NES Revival RGBNES "Companion" Power Module.
2 |
3 | 1/15/2024
4 | - over 100 of these 3.1c boards have been sent out on my eBay store.
5 | - A few installation errors but we have not seen any buck converters giving up the smoke!
6 | - Corrected a mistake in the Digikey part number of the Q1 Transistor, the JLCPCB number was correct.
7 | - We are recommending a 560pF instead of the 1nF capacitor on C12, this provides a slightly crisper image.
8 | - Added the H variant of the switching regulator to the Digikey BOM.
9 |
10 | 6/4/2024
11 | - Production files have been released for version 3.1c
12 |
13 | 5/8/2024 - Version 3.1c is production ready, Gerbers will be released this week.
14 | I have a full analsyis with aid from Zaxour to show peformance levels for these boards.
15 |
16 |
17 | 3/1/2024 - Testing of the new Design 3.0b is going well.
18 | - We have moved to a 4 layer board to increase the coupling of the switching components to the inner GND layers.
19 | - The Switch input is only used now to power the enable pin on the Buck Converter. The Input power comes directly from the board itself.
20 | - GND to NES Connector has been moved closer to the Voltage Regulator to reduce the GND Loop area.
21 | - Inductor has been moved further away from the interconnect pins and more bypass capacitors have been added to help reduce noise.
22 | - I plan on doing a more indepth analsys of this design vs the older design and releasing the results.
23 | - All Kicad files and Gerber files will be released once testing is completed.
24 |
25 |
26 |
27 |
28 | 2/13/2024 - Production Boards have been ordered.
29 | - Testing has been going great!! I have now ordered my first production run.
30 | - With some help from this great community, I have made improvments to the design.
31 | - I plan on releasing a full breakdown of these new boards and some words on older designs.
32 | - Open Source Files will be released once the Production Boards are verified
33 |
34 | 1/16/2024 - Features of the 3.0 Boards
35 | - Stable and clean 5.06 volts at a 1.5A load. (7.5 watts)
36 | - Tested for 48 hours at a 1.8A load (9 watts)
37 | - Peaks of 2A are fine, but it's pushing the components pretty hard.
38 | - 1.5A Resettable Fuse on 9V input for board protection. (13.5 watts)
39 | - The LCSC Chinese Voltage Regulator has been replaced with a TE Connectivity IC. (TPS54202)
40 | - The Full Bridge Rectifier is a Diode Incorporate part. (MSB30M)
41 | - All Parts can be obtained from Digi-Key/Mouser.
42 | - Gerbers and Kicad files will be released once testing burn-in is complete.
43 | - I also plan on offering these again on my eBay account once i'm done with testing.
44 |
45 |
46 |
47 |
48 |
49 | 4/30/2023 -
50 | When connecting the RGBNES to this PWR Module, do not use the main RGB Headers on the RGBNES.
51 | - The Gen2 Cables have circuits in them to treat the RGB Signal. The main RGB Headers on the RGBNES are also treating the RGB Signal.
52 | - If these header points are used, the picture will be a lot darker as a result.
53 | - There are other points on the RGBNES that can be used that have the RAW RGB Data before all the processing.
54 | - Use of the RAW RGB points will allow the picture's brightness to be accurate and good.
55 | - Reference these pins [HERE](https://github.com/ShawMerlin/NES-Power-Module-Redesign/blob/main/RGB%20-%20Genesis%209%20Pin%20Edition/Features%20and%20Components.md)
56 |
57 |
58 |
59 |
60 |
61 | 4/03/2023 - Newer features of the 2.1 Boards
62 | - Using JST 2.0 PH Connectors now so the wires are not so microscopic.
63 | - Updated the Audio Selection Switch to also control Audio Output on the Gen2 Port.
64 | - Added the Internal Componsite Circuit so now this board can be fully used without a RGBNES Installed.
65 | - Video Selection switch will now control whether Int or Ext Video is outputted on the RCA Jack.
66 | - If Dual Mono Audio is desired, a simple RCA Y Splitter cable can be used on the Red RCA Jack.
67 |
68 |
69 | 3/13/2023
70 | Gerbers, BOM and POS (JLCPCB Assembly) have been released and are on this github page.
71 |
72 |
73 |
74 | Key Features on this board.
75 | - Switching Voltage Regulator. This outputs a lot less heat and a stable 5V Supply.
76 | - Seperate Ground Plane from the 5V Regulator and the RGB Traces. 2 Grounding points on the Board.
77 | - Physical cut outs in the PCB board to help shield against any EMI from the regulator.
78 | - Switch for selection of Internal Audio or External Audio (if you have your own Audio Circuit)
79 | - Switch for Selection of the Multi-Function RCA Jack to be Left (mono Audio) or Composite from the RGB Board.
80 | - 3 Way Side Switch that can be wired into the Palette Selection on the RGB Board -
81 | - Gen2 Output is compatible with the Scart Adapters, HDRetrovision Cable, OSSC and the Retrotink.
82 | - The RGBNES offers Raw RGB Output pads as the Gen2 Cables will add 75 ohm resistors. Check instructions for more details.

102 | Update History
103 |
104 | 3/20/2023 - Feedback from testers has been excellent. I have received great feedback which is being done in the next revision.
105 | Revisions for V2.1
106 | - Removed the ability to use the multifuction port as an Audio Port. It is now Video Componsite Only.
107 | - Added the internal Composite circuitry back to the Power Board and made the seldctor switch, Int Video and Ext Video.
108 |
109 | 3/2/2023 - Testing is going good. I am sending engineering samples to various testers in order to get feedback.

117 |
118 | 2/28/2023 - Boards have arrived and are assembled. I couldn't find my Gen2 9 Pin to SCART cable so I had to order a new one.
119 | It sohuld arrive today and after testing is complete. All files will be released on this github.
120 |
121 | 2/1/2023 - Getting back on the horse!! I have Version 1.9 completed and ordered. I should be able to test within a couple of weeks.
122 | This new version has slide switches instead of header jumpers and I have also changed the pinout on the 7 pin connector to match the color of wires.
123 |
124 | 9/12/2022 - I have made a couple of changes to the RGB Board, I have moved the 9 pin Genesis Connector closer and fixed part of the audio circuit.

1 | 4/27/2024 - The Prototype of the USB C PD Power Board has been ordered and we should be testing it at the end of next week.
2 | I do plan on offering these for sell when they have completed testing.
3 |
4 | 4/5/2024 - I added information to the older USB C Design. I still do not recommend using this design.
5 | I am close to ordering my first prototype for the USB C PD Board. The Evaluation board I got to test this has worked great.
6 | I hope to order within a few weeks, i'm just trying to save up for the order.
7 | Here is a sneak peak ;)
8 |
9 |
10 |
11 |
12 |
13 | 3/31/2024 - Please note that I am currently working on a USB C PD version that will be a lot more stable.
14 | The USB C Standard allows for voltages between 4.75 and 5.75 volts. The NES does not like voltages under or above 5.0-5.1 volts.
15 | So it was kit or miss when it came to what USB C Brick was used.
16 |
17 | With USB C PD, we will output a stable 9 - 12 volts and then use a voltage regulator to output a stable 5.07 volts.
18 | This regulator has been tested and found to only have a 23mV peak to peak.
19 | I plan to have this design ready for release in about 4 weeks.

1 | # Updates
2 | - 4/10/2023 - New RGBNES Companion PWR Boards Version 2.1 are completed and fully tested.(I will upload design files shortly)
3 | - Still working on the 5.2V Clamp on the USB Boards to send all voltages above 5.2V to GND and trip a resettable fuse.
4 |
5 | - 3/31/2023 - New RCA Classic Modules v2.1 have been tested and are working great.
6 | Features a 1.9A fuse to help protect the circuit and main NES Board, input inductor, Diode Rectifier and more filtering capacitors
7 | - 3/13/2023 - The NES NESRGB "Companion" Power Module is completed and tested. Files released under this github.
8 | - 2/14/2023 - DIY Boards have tested good with a 2 amp load for 24 hours. I updated a footprint and added some warning graphics to the board. Gerbers files have been released.
9 | - 2/12/2023 - The DIY Board has arrived and it has been assembled. Testing will finish up tonight and I will release the Kicad/Gerber files once testing is done.
10 | - 2/12/2023 - The Vertical USB C proved to not be the most solid or stable when I was stress testing it with twisting and plugging in the cable. This has been replaced.
11 | - 2/12/2023 - The 'Y'Pb'Pr Component output board is working but is oversaturated on the blue channel. More research is being done.
12 | - 2/12/2023 - NES RGB Gen2 Power Module is currently in-transit. I will be testing this as soon as it arrives.
13 |
14 |
15 | - 2/1/2023 - Getting back on the horse!! I have NES RGB Gen2 Power Module Version 1.9 completed and ordered. I should be able to test within a couple of weeks.
16 | This new version has slide switches instead of header jumpers and I have also changed the pinout on the 7 pin connector to match the color of wires.
17 |
18 | - 2/1/2023 - Redesigned the THT DIY Board so that it uses a LDO once again and uploaded the BOM files. Testing the PCB is our next step.
19 |
20 | - 1/8/2022 I have added to my designs a USB C Powered Module (This was long overdue).
21 | This module uses Power Delivery to get up to 3 amps of 5V Power from a USB Power Brick.
22 | It does not need to coverted down to 5V so no buck converters or LDO's needed!!
23 |
24 | - 10/18/2022 - The YPbPr Component board has to have the 3.5mm jack changed positions. The case doesn't quite have a low enough lip to
25 | support it and I want to keept his a No-Cut Mod. I plan on putting it up where the old Video Out use to be and will upload photo's when I have this completed.
26 |
27 | - 9/22/2022 - Working on a Classic and 'Y'Pb'Pr "Component" Version that uses the LDO instead of the Switching Voltage Regulator.
28 |
29 | Lots of heat but I have some ideas on how to handle it.
30 |
31 | - 9/17/2022 - I tested the Component (Y/pB/pR) circuit with the NESRGB Board and it looked great!! I have these new PCBs on order
32 |
33 | - 9/12/2022 - I found a couple of issues on the Sound and RGB Board which are being fixed. The Classic and THT Versions are still good.
34 | Added new concept of a Component Output board and created a folder for it with Pictures.
35 |
36 | - 9/10/2022 - Sound Mix board needed a couple of small changes but the RGB, DIY THT, and new HDMI Companion board are working great!!
37 | I will be updating the folders on this github with those gerber files too.
38 |
39 | - 8/24/2022 - Uploaded BOM, Gerber and Kicad Files for the DIY THT Classic RCA Power Module.
40 | - 8/22/2022 - Starting tests on the Sound Mix and RGB Edition.
41 |
42 | I have also added a new version below for the HDMI Hi-Def Mod.
43 | - 7/13/2022 - First Production batch of Classic Power Module arrived. Kicad files available and uploaded!
44 |
45 | I have also ordered the Soundmix and RGB Boards.
46 | - 7/02/2022 - Prototypes for the Classic Power Module with Composite Video were successful!!
47 |
48 | Gerbers, Bill of Materials and Assemly Position files have been uploaded above.
49 | - 6/19/2022 - Replaced the LDO with a Switching Voltage Regulator for a low heat alternative. New boards ordered. Expected by 6/27.
50 | - 5/30/2022 - BOM created for Classic RCA Power Board and Uploaded, boards expected by 6/3.
51 | - 5/17/2022 - Both Classic and Classic with Sound AMP PCBs have been ordered for testing.
52 | - Once verified, the open source files will be released.
53 |
