Sadly, many players are unaware of these and as such, this guide will outline everything you need to know! 3 | 4 | ## Dragon elytra drops 5 | Every time the Ender Dragon is killed, it has a 50% chance to drop fully damaged elytra! These elytra can be repaired with phantom membranes to restore them to maximum durability, as per usual. 6 | 7 | ## Lava sponges 8 | Placing a wet sponge near lava will turn nearby lava sources into cobblestone! 9 | 10 | ## Terracotta and wool redying 11 | Wool and terracotta of any color can be dyed to any other color of their respective block by simply using dye in a crafting grid. Surrounding any dye with 8 of any color terracotta will craft terracotta of the color of the dye. 12 | 13 | Similarly, placing any color wool and and one of any color dye will craft wool of the color of the dye. 14 | 15 | ## Coal blocks from charcoal 16 | Coal blocks can be crafted with not only coal, but also charcoal. Simply fill the crafting grid with charcoal to craft a coal block. 17 | 18 | ## Picking up placed spawners 19 | Placed spawners can be picked up with their mob type in place by simply mining the spawner block with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe. Placing the dropped spawner will place it with its correct mob type, just like it was before it was mined. 20 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /privacy.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Privacy Policy 2 | ## Last updated: July 18, 2020 3 | 4 | Firestarter ("us", "we", or "our") operates https://firestartermc.com (the "Site"), https://store.firestartermc.com (the "Store"), the Firestarter Minecraft Realms (the "Server"), and the Firestarter Discord server (the "Discord Server"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information we collect from users of the Site and Server. 5 | 6 | By using the Site or playing on the Server (joining), you agree to the collection and use of the information in accordance with this policy. 7 | 8 | ## Collected Data 9 | ### Server Interactions 10 | To allow us to provide better moderation, different interactions on the Server are logged. The following interactions are logged: 11 | * All chat messages, private messages, party messages, and marriage chat messages. 12 | * Block actions (placing and breaking blocks). 13 | * Economy transactions (chest shops, auction house, jobs, admin shop, etc.) 14 | * Join and leave times 15 | 16 | ## Additional collected data 17 | The Site and Server make use of external tools and services to provide our services. These external tools and services also collect additional data. Please read their Privacy Policies for more information. 18 | 19 | Cloudflare (Site and Store): https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ 20 | Tebex (Store): https://www.tebex.io/legal/privacy/ 21 | Discord (Discord Server): https://discord.com/new/privacy/ 22 | 23 | ## Contact Us 24 | If you have any questions about the Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@firestartermc.com. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /technical-faq.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # 🔥 Firestarter: Technical FAQ 2 | 3 | ### What is the mob cap? 4 | We have a separate, independent mob spawn cap **per player** for the following mob types: 5 | * 16 hostile mobs (zombie, creeper, etc.) 6 | * 3 animals (pig, cow, rabbit, etc.) 7 | * 6 water animals (guardian, dolphin, squid, etc.) 8 | * 1 water ambient (cod, salmon, etc.) 9 | * 0 ambient (bats) 10 | 11 | The sooner you are able to kill a mob and get it out of the cap, the faster new mobs will be able to spawn. Also note that the cap is per player, and each player has their own, independent cap. Vanilla has a global, server-wide cap, but this becomes a problem with a large amount of players online- if we were to use the vanilla system, mobs would practically stop spawning after a certain amount of players are online. 12 | 13 | ### What is the mob spawn rate? 14 | Similar to the mob cap, the spawn rates for mobs are different for the category the mob falls under: 15 | * Every 2 ticks for hostile mobs (vanilla: 1 tick) 16 | * Every 400 ticks for animals (vanilla: 400 ticks) 17 | * Every tick for water animals (vanilla: 1 tick) 18 | * Every tick for water ambient (vanilla: 1 tick) 19 | * Ambient mobs never tick spawning (vanilla: 1 tick) 20 | 21 | ### What is the mob spawn radius? 22 | Mobs are able to spawn within a radius of 48 blocks (3 chunks) of the player. In vanilla, this would normally be 128 blocks (8 chunks). 23 | 24 | ### What is the view (and simulation) distance? 25 | Our view distance is 7 chunks and our simulation distance is 3 chunks. Ticking will only occur within this 3 chunk radius, and anything outside will not update unless player moves into the area. 26 | 27 | ### Why are pistons/explosions not working? 28 | Our claims plugin prevents piston block pushing and explosions across claim borders, and in the case of explosions, requires **explicitly** enabling claim explosions using `/claimexplosions`. This setting has to be re-enabled after every server reboot. 29 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /rollbacks.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # 🔥 Firestarter: Rollbacks 2 | Sometimes unrecoverable disaster may occur with either your builds or your inventory which require admin action to resolve. On Firestarter, our admins are equipped with advanced rollback tools that can help restore your hard work in certain situations. However, we don't offer rollbacks in all situations, so have a read over this rollback guide to find out when you are eligible. 3 | 4 | ## Server-related issues 5 | If an unintended bug caused directly by the server (i.e. plugin issue, admin mishap, etc.) causes you to lose your inventory contents, admins are able to rollback your inventory to the last available state. Inventory backups are only saved for a short amount of time, so inquire on getting your inventory rolled back as soon as possible. 6 | 7 | Same deal goes for loss of builds. 8 | 9 | ## Grief 10 | Disaster strikes and your build is ruined! Admins are able to roll back your build a select amount of time to bring it back to its previous state. However, build rollbacks are not always perfect and may result in complex builds being slightly different after being rolled back. This may include missing chest contents, incorrectly rotated blocks, etc. 11 | 12 | However, this is usually only an issue with complex redstone contraptions and in most normal builds this is a non-issue. 13 | 14 | ## Rollbacks on unclaimed land 15 | Only claimed builds are eligible for rollbacks. However, as a kind gesture, admins will be able to roll back your first grief on unclaimed land. From thereon out, you will only be eligible for rollbacks on claimed land. 16 | 17 | ## Ineligible causes 18 | We do not perform rollbacks on most player-initiated causes (aside from grief, of course). This is a short list of causes that would not be eligible for a rollback: 19 | * A player stole items from one of your chests. 20 | * You died from void damage and lost all of your items. 21 | * Your items despawned because you died over 5 minutes ago and were idling. 22 | * You accidentally blew up part of your house because you forgot you had claim explosions enabled. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /staff-guide.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # 🔥 Firestarter Staff Guide 2 | This guide outlines everything you need to know as a moderator on Firestarter. Remember, your main job as a moderator is to enforce our rules and be unbaised in your handling of situations. 3 | 4 | ## Punishment Guideline 5 | These are our standard punishment lengths for bans and mutes on the server. To check for repeated offenses, use `/history `. After banning, if the player is in our Discord, make sure to give them the banned role. 6 | 7 | The following are the punishments for breaking any given category in the [rules](https://github.com/Firestarter/docs/blob/master/rules.md). Please use the titles of each category as the ban or mute reason. 8 | 9 | __**Blacklisted modifications:**__ 10 | * 1 month ban - first offense 11 | * Permanent ban - second offense 12 | 13 | __**Toxic behavior:**__ 14 | * 1 hour mute - first offense 15 | * 1 week ban - second offense 16 | * 1 month ban - third offense 17 | * Permanent ban - fourth offense 18 | 19 | __**Griefing:**__ 20 | * 2 week ban - first offense 21 | * 2 months ban - second offense 22 | * Permanent ban - third offense 23 | 24 | __**Scamming:**__ 25 | * 1 week ban - first offense 26 | * 1 month ban - second offense 27 | * Permanent ban - third offense 28 | 29 | __**Stealing:**__ 30 | * 1 week ban - first offense 31 | * 1 month ban - second offense 32 | * Permanent ban - third offense 33 | 34 | __**Copyright:**__ 35 | * 1 week ban - first offense 36 | * 1 month ban - second offense 37 | * Permanent ban - third offense 38 | 39 | __**Claims:**__ 40 | * 1 week ban - first offense 41 | * 1 month ban - second offense 42 | * Permanent ban - third offense 43 | 44 | __**Chat, spam, and advertising:**__ 45 | * 1 hour mute - first offense 46 | * 1 hour ban - second offense 47 | * 3 day ban - third offense 48 | * 1 week ban - fourth offense 49 | * Permanent ban - extreme cases 50 | 51 | __**Racism, offensive language, and discrimination:**__ 52 | * Permanent ban - first offense 53 | 54 | __**Exploiting server issues:**__ 55 | * Permanent ban - first offense 56 | 57 | __**Spreading misinformation/defamation:**__ 58 | * Permanent ban - first offense 59 | 60 | __**Alternate account usage (Alts):**__ 61 | * 1 month ban - gaining extra event rewards 62 | 63 | __**Threats:**__ 64 | * Permanent ban - first offense 65 | 66 | __**Drama and discussing punishments:**__ 67 | * 2 hour mute - first offense 68 | * 2 week ban - second offense 69 | * 1 month ban - third offense 70 | * Permanent ban - fouth offense 71 | 72 | __**Inappropriate skins and names:**__ 73 | * Permanent ban - first offense (unban when resolved) 74 | 75 | __**Illegal Activity:**__ 76 | * Permanent IP ban - first offense 77 | 78 | Check via [Coreprotect](https://www.minerealm.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=6781) which player broke or placed which block, use this to get information about potential Griefs that are reported but happened in the past. 79 | 80 | Make sure you have the evidence before you ban a player that is using a Modified client. Should the player be ruining the others experience by chat you can punish them before getting evidence since it will stay accessible. 81 | 82 | Is a player annoying someone with for example agressive pets or is building outside of anothers claim without their permission and they don't react on warnings, you can use `/spawn ` to force teleport them to spawn, Run this command twice to avoid them being able to return with `/back`. Make sure this is the case before using the command. 83 | 84 | Should you see another staff member potentially break a rule, contact them personally or an admin, do not act on your own against other staff. 85 | 86 | If you need clarification on any of these, please either post in `#staff-chat` or contact an admin. After you have given out a punishment, please post evidence of the offense in the `#evidence` channel on our Discord server. This will help us keep track of punishments in case we need the evidence in the future. 87 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /rules.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # 🔥 Firestarter Rules 2 | By playing on Firestarter Realms, you agree to the following rules. If you notice that someone is breaking any of the below rules, it is your responsibility to report it to the proper staff. If there are no staff online, use `/report` to send a report which can be handled once staff is available. 3 | 4 | ### Blacklisted modifications 5 | * Use of [Badlion](https://client.badlion.net/) client, [Lunar](https://www.lunarclient.com/) client, [OptiFine](https://www.optifine.net/home), and some mods such as [VoxelMap](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/voxelmap), [Xaero's Minimap](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap), and [JourneyMap](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/journeymap) (along with other minimap mods that do not disclose underground blocks) is allowed. 6 | * Use of utility clients is bannable (no [Wurst](https://www.wurstclient.net/), [Aristois](https://aristois.net/), etc). 7 | * Some mods, such as [Tweakaroo](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/tweakeroo), are bannable if used on the server. 8 | 9 | ### Toxic behavior 10 | * Treat everyone with respect. 11 | * Any kind of sexual harassment in public and private chat is bannable. 12 | * Do not bully anyone. 13 | * Cursing is allowed, so long as it is not directed towards any particular person or figure. 14 | 15 | ### Griefing 16 | * Griefing obviously inhabited but unclaimed land is bannable. 17 | * Raiding unclaimed containers (chests, barrels, anything that stores items) is alright, so long as they are not shop chests. 18 | * Breaking blocks that you did not place, even in unclaimed lands, is bannable. This includes spawners that are not naturally generated. This also includes killing animals you didn't breed and breaking crops in a farm that you didn't create. If the farm is public, you must replant after harvesting. 19 | * If a player is offline for 3 or more months, you may ask an admin to unclaim one or more of their claims and you will be able to reclaim it. Right-click with a stick on the claimed area to check the age of the claim. Once the claim is yours, you are free to build, edit, or take items. If you lack the claimblocks to reclaim, you will be denied access to the claim until you are capable of claiming it. If another user comes along with enough claimblocks after you had already asked but lacked the claimblocks, the user with the ability to reclaim will be given it. You are free to unclaim these claims at any time. 20 | * It is your responsibility to claim your builds. If your builds are griefed, the griefer will be punished and you are eligible for a [rollback](rollbacks.md). 21 | * Creating lava casts, also frequently referred to as "cobble monsters," counts as griefing and is bannable. 22 | * Creating teleport traps, including those intended to kill players, is bannable. 23 | 24 | ### Scamming 25 | * Offering to sell a specific item and instead selling another after a transaction has been made is bannable. 26 | * Selling deceptive shulkers, i.e. shulkers that display the name of a desirable item in the lore but are instead renamed items of a different type, falls under scamming. 27 | * Logging off after a trade agreement has been made falls under scamming. 28 | 29 | ### Auction House 30 | * Selling renamed items on auction with the purpose of advertising warps, trades and services is not allowed. 31 | 32 | ### Stealing 33 | * Betrayal of trust on claims falls under this category and will result in a ban. 34 | * Stealing from shop chests you have access to is bannable. 35 | 36 | ### Copyright 37 | * Selling a map you did not create is plagiarism and is bannable. 38 | 39 | ### Claims 40 | * Claims must be at least 200 blocks of one another. Resizing a claim towards the direction of another claim may be bannable under this rule. 41 | * As a mayor, caught stealing from users who reside in one of your subdivided claims is bannable. 42 | * Setting a home or warp in another players claim without permission of the claim owner is not allowed. 43 | * Leaving pets in claims where you do not have trust is not allowed. 44 | 45 | ### Chat, spam, and advertising 46 | * It is okay to mention well-known servers and services in the chat, but advertising a private or malicious server or service is bannable. 47 | * Chat spam of any kind, including command spam and splitting a word in multiple smaller messages, is bannable. 48 | * It is not okay to discuss politics in public chat. By extension, it is also not okay to disrespect others based on their political or religious views. 49 | * Use only English in main chat. You are allowed to use other languages in private messages, such as /msg or party chat. 50 | * Excessive use of capitalization is not allowed. Repeated offenses will result in a (temporary) mute. 51 | * Announcing that a staff member is vanished is not allowed. 52 | 53 | ### Racism, offensive language, and discrimination 54 | * Do not use racist, offensive, or discriminatory language in chat, on signs, in books, in item names, private messages, or anywhere on the server that accepts text. 55 | * This includes the use of the n-word, hate symbols, or hate speech. 56 | * We are strict about this and will permanently ban if this occurs. 57 | 58 | ### Exploiting server issues 59 | * If you discover a server bug, **do not** exploit it for your own gain. Report this issue directly to an administrator. 60 | * Irresponsible disclosure of bugs, such as in public chat or the Discord server, will result in a permanent ban. 61 | 62 | ### Spreading misinformation/defamation 63 | * Intentionally spreading misinformation to hurt the image of the server or any of its staff or players is strictly bannable. 64 | * Defamation will not be tolerated. 65 | * Issuing false player reports is bannable. 66 | 67 | ### Alternate account usage (Alts) 68 | * Using alternate accounts to claim extra event rewards is bannable. 69 | 70 | ### Threats 71 | * Threatening to damage any part of the server, including its players, is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban. 72 | * Threatening to ruin the economy or attack the server, i.e. DDoS attack, is bannable. 73 | * Encouraging other players to break the rules is bannable. 74 | * Building lag machines or machines that are intentionally created to degrade the server performance count as an attack. 75 | 76 | ### Drama and discussing punishments 77 | * Starting drama or encouraging others to start drama on the server is strictly bannable. 78 | * If you have a question about someone's ban or punishment, feel free to **privately** message a staff member about it. Do not take it to general chat. Bans are public and posted [here](https://bans.firestartermc.com/bans.php). 79 | 80 | ### Inappropriate skins and names 81 | * Any skin or username that is deemed inappropriate by the staff will result in a ban until it is changed. 82 | * This also goes for item names in-game. 83 | 84 | ### Scope of moderation 85 | * Staff have final say when it comes to punishments and moderation. Listen to what they tell you. 86 | * We do **not** moderate anything that takes place outside of the bounds of our server. We only moderate actions on the Firestarter Realms or within the Firestarter Discord server. Anything outside of that is out of our scope of moderation, and you are responsible for moderating yourself. 87 | * As soon as a conversation moves to private messages outside of the server (DMs), we cannot moderate what happens. If the conversation is between a player and Firestarter Staff, any threats or messages intended to harm may result in punishment. This is for both the staff member and the player. 88 | * The job of moderators is to moderate and enforce the rules. They are not necessarily here to help you with gameplay, such as assisting with your builds. Do not waste their time. 89 | 90 | ### Store purchases 91 | * All store purchases are final. Chargebacks will result in a permanent ban. 92 | * We do not offer refunds on purchases made unless you do not receive the advertised goods. 93 | 94 | ### Disclaimer 95 | * Firestarter ("us", "we", or "our") reserves the right to change these Rules at any time, at its sole discretion, without notice. Any change binds you as soon as you access the https://firestartermc.com (the "Site"), https://store.firestartermc.com (the "Store"), the Firestarter Minecraft Realms (the "Server"), and the Firestarter Discord server (the "Discord Server"). We therefore strongly recommend checking the Rules on a regular basis. 96 | 97 | Please make sure to also read our [privacy policy](privacy.md). 98 | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
