-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Getting Started 2 | 3 | ### **What do I need to get started with Bomb Money?** 4 | 5 | First, please make sure to read the [**introduction**](../../) if you haven't already so that you can truly understand the concepts behind Bomb Money and how they work before you invest in it. 6 | 7 | Second, as always, with anything in crypto it’s wise to keep the following rules in mind: 8 | 9 | * Never invest more than you are comfortable with. 10 | * Do your own research. 11 | * Diversify your risks. 12 | * Take your initial investment out when in profit to secure your capital. 13 | 14 | Once you are ready to take the next step it's time to figure out how to bridge your funds to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) if you don't already have investable funds there. Let's go through the entire process step-by-step, and feel free to skip through any parts you already understand. 15 | 16 | {% hint style="warning" %} 17 | We _highly_ recommend reading **all** of the documentation before participating in the Bomb Money protocol. Not only will it benefit you, but it will benefit the entire ecosystem when the protocol is being used correctly by a fully educated user base. You'll be glad you did! 18 | {% endhint %} 19 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /helpful-guides/provide-lp.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Provide LP 2 | 3 | In order to provide liquidity, you'll first have to purchase either BOMB or BSHARE (have a look at our "[How to Buy BOMB](../welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/how-to-buy-bomb.md)" section if you need help in doing so), depending on which you want to provide liquidity for. 4 | 5 | Providing liquidity is possible on [PancakeSwap](https://pancakeswap.finance/add/0x7130d2A12B9BCbFAe4f2634d864A1Ee1Ce3Ead9c/0x522348779DCb2911539e76A1042aA922F9C47Ee3). Head over to the Liquidity tab on the left side of your screen. Connect your wallet (make sure your Metamask is on the BSC Network). Now you have to choose the tokens you wish to add liquidity with. For the first, select **BTCB** or **BNB**. For the second, choose either **BOMB** or **BSHARE**, respectively. 6 | 7 | If **BOMB** or **BSHARE** do not show up, please manually copy/paste the address as shown below. 8 | 9 | **BOMB**: 0x522348779DCb2911539e76A1042aA922F9C47Ee3 10 | 11 | **BSHARE**: 0x531780FAcE85306877D7e1F05d713D1B50a37F7A 12 | 13 | Click on supply and accept the transaction in your wallet. 14 | 15 | Now that you have provided LP, you can head over to [bomb.money](https://app.bomb.money) and [farm your LPs](https://app.bomb.money/farm). 16 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/how-to-buy-bomb.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # How to Buy BOMB 2 | 3 | You can buy BOMB or BSHARE on PancakeSwap or using any decentralized exchange aggregator (like Bogged Finance). 4 | 5 | ### Buy BOMB 6 | 7 | Paired with native BNB: [https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?inputCurrency=BNB\&outputCurrency=0x522348779DCb2911539e76A1042aA922F9C47Ee3](https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?inputCurrency=BNB\&outputCurrency=0x522348779DCb2911539e76A1042aA922F9C47Ee3) 8 | 9 | Or, paired with BTCB, its common pair: [https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?inputCurrency=0x7130d2A12B9BCbFAe4f2634d864A1Ee1Ce3Ead9c\&outputCurrency=0x522348779dcb2911539e76a1042aa922f9c47ee3](https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?inputCurrency=0x7130d2A12B9BCbFAe4f2634d864A1Ee1Ce3Ead9c\&outputCurrency=0x522348779dcb2911539e76a1042aa922f9c47ee3) 10 | 11 | ### Buy BSHARE 12 | 13 | Paired with BNB: [https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?outputCurrency=0x531780FAcE85306877D7e1F05d713D1B50a37F7A](https://pancakeswap.finance/swap?outputCurrency=0x531780FAcE85306877D7e1F05d713D1B50a37F7A)\ 14 | \ 15 | You can also find quick and easy links to purchase each token on the Bomb Money app's main page: 16 | 17 | ![](<../../.gitbook/assets/image (1) (1).png>) 18 | 19 | Now that you know how to buy BOMB and BSHARE, let's take a look at some strategies in the next section that you can use as a framework for formulating your own investment strategy with Bomb Money. 20 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /SUMMARY.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Table of contents 2 | 3 | * [bomb.money Home](https://app.bomb.money) 4 | 5 | ## 💣 Welcome / Start Here 6 | 7 | * [Introduction](README.md) 8 | * [Getting Started](welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/README.md) 9 | * [Getting Funds to Binance Smart Chain (BSC)](welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/getting-funds-to-binance-smart-chain-bsc.md) 10 | * [How to Buy BOMB](welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/how-to-buy-bomb.md) 11 | * [Strategies](welcome-start-here/strategies.md) 12 | * [Autocompounding Vaults](welcome-start-here/autocompounding-vaults.md) 13 | 14 | ## 💣 Protocol 15 | 16 | * [Tokens](protocol/tokens.md) 17 | * [Boardroom](protocol/boardroom.md) 18 | * [BOMB Distribution](protocol/bomb-distribution.md) 19 | * [Bonds (BBOND)](protocol/bonds-mechanism.md) 20 | * [Farms](protocol/farms.md) 21 | * [xBOMB - BOMB Staking](protocol/xbomb-bomb-staking.md) 22 | * [Roadmap](protocol/roadmap.md) 23 | * [Treasury Transactions](protocol/treasury-transactions.md) 24 | * [Other Protocol Contract Addresses](protocol/other-protocol-contract-addresses.md) 25 | 26 | ## 💣 Helpful Guides 27 | 28 | * [Provide LP](helpful-guides/provide-lp.md) 29 | 30 | ## 💣 Links 31 | 32 | * [Discord](https://discord.bomb.money) 33 | * [Telegram](https://t.me/bombmoneybsc) 34 | * [Medium](https://bombbshare.medium.com) 35 | * [Twitter](https://twitter.com/bombmoneybsc) 36 | * [GitHub](https://github.com/bombmoney) 37 | * [StaySafu Audit](https://www.staysafu.org/audit/bombmoney) 38 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /protocol/roadmap.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | description: Roadmap outlining the future for Bomb Money 3 | --- 4 | 5 | # Roadmap 6 | 7 | Updates will be posted here as the Roadmap is updated. 8 | 9 | _Last updated February 22nd, 2022_ 10 | 11 | * [x] Timelock all contracts. (Currently projected for late 2022.) 26 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /protocol/farms.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Farms 2 | 3 | ![The Bomb Money farms currently available for staking LP tokens to earn BSHARE rewards](<../.gitbook/assets/image (8).png>) 4 | 5 | To incentivize healthy liquidity pools for the Bomb Money protocol tokens, our LP farms have been seeded with BSHARE to be distributed as rewards to LP stakers across a time period of 12 months. The total BSHARE rewards are distributed from each farm as follows: 6 | 7 | * BOMB-BTCB LP: 70% of BSHARE rewards 8 | * BSHARE-BNB LP: 20% of BSHARE rewards 9 | * BOMB-BSHARE LP: 10% of BSHARE rewards 10 | 11 | ### **1. What will happen when the circulating supply equals the total supply? Will reward emissions stop?** 12 | 13 | Yes. Once the max supply of BSHARE (59.5K) is reached, reward emissions end. This will happen in exactly one year from when the BSHARE farms started on November 25th, 2021. BSHARE will always continue to print BOMB in the Boardroom, though, as long as BOMB remains above peg. 14 | 15 | {% hint style="danger" %} 16 | BSHARE reward emissions for the current LP farms are scheduled to end on November 25th, 2022 once the total BSHARE supply has been distributed. 17 | {% endhint %} 18 | 19 | ### 2. Why is "at-peg" (TWAP between 1.00 and 1.01) the best time to provide liquidity? 20 | 21 | When BOMB is pegged or close to being pegged at 10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC, it is more akin to having exposure to a single asset (single staking) than to your traditional LP'ing experience, where you would run the risk of impermanent loss if one of the tokens went up in value and the other did not. 22 | 23 | ### 3. Wait, you mean that if BTC pumps, BOMB pumps with it? 24 | 25 | **Yes!**\ 26 | \ 27 | Let's look at an example:\ 28 | \ 29 | If BTC pumps in price, it won't "outrun" BOMB, even if nobody is buying BOMB at that time.\ 30 | \ 31 | The farm APRs will vary in terms of USD value, but the emissions won’t. This is something that wouldn't be possible with another 1:1 pegged asset like a stablecoin LP position, where the USD value is directly tied to the emissions. If BTC rises in USD value, BOMB goes with it. Similarly, if BTC falls in USD value, BOMB will be worth less in USD, **but it won’t affect the peg**. 32 | 33 | {% hint style="info" %} 34 | The only thing that can change the price of BOMB in terms of its BTC value (and as such, the peg) is buying and selling it. 35 | {% endhint %} 36 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /protocol/xbomb-bomb-staking.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | description: >- 3 | Staking bomb.money (BOMB) tokens rewards you with xBOMB, the Bomb Money 4 | protocol's governance token. 5 | --- 6 | 7 | # xBOMB - BOMB Staking 8 | 9 | ![The BOMB staking user interface](<../.gitbook/assets/xBOMB UI.png>) 10 | 11 | ### What is xBOMB? 12 | 13 | xBOMB is a utility token for the BOMB Money protocol. You must hold xBOMB in your wallet to be able to vote on decisions that will shape the future of BOMB Money. The more xBOMB you hold, the more power your vote will carry. 14 | 15 | ### How Does xBOMB Work? 16 | 17 | BOMB can be exchanged to and from xBOMB at any time on our [xBOMB page](https://app.bomb.money/xbomb). 18 | 19 | When xBOMB was launched, the ratio of BOMB to xBOMB was exactly 1.0. At a ratio of 1.0, if you deposited 100 BOMB, you would receive 100 xBOMB in return. And, similarly, if you redeemed 100 xBOMB, you would receive 100 BOMB back. 20 | 21 | xBOMB is only minted when BOMB is deposited into the contract. Any time BOMB is sent to the xBOMB smart contract as rewards, it will increase the ratio of BOMB to xBOMB, generating a yield for all xBOMB holders. 22 | 23 | ### Example 24 | 25 | John deposits 10,000 BOMB into xBOMB staking, when the exchange is 1.0. John receives 10,000 xBOMB in return for his 10,000 BOMB. 26 | 27 | Other users stake a combined 90,000 additional BOMB, making the total staked amount of BOMB 100,000. 28 | 29 | Now we have 100,000 xBOMB in total, and 100,000 BOMB in the xBOMB staking contract. 30 | 31 | 10,000 BOMB are now sent to the xBOMB reward contract, making the total amount of BOMB in the contract 110,000 now (learn where BOMB rewards come from below). 32 | 33 | Since the total amount of xBOMB is still 100,000, but the BOMB shared among stakers is 110,000, the exchange rate (ratio) will now be 1.1 BOMB per xBOMB. 34 | 35 | John can now redeem his 10,000 xBOMB to receive 11,000 BOMB in return. 36 | 37 | Any new BOMB deposits at this point will receive xBOMB at the current exchange rate of 1 xBOMB per 1.1 BOMB (as per this example). 38 | 39 | ### How Does xBOMB Get Additional BOMB? 40 | 41 | There are numerous sources of BOMB for the xBOMB holders: 42 | 43 | * Between January 24th and February 7th, 50,000 BOMB will be deposited into the xBOMB smart contract to benefit early stakers. That is an average of over 3,500 BOMB per day, over $10,000 USD per day during this period! 44 | * 20% of all BOMB minted on expansionary epochs will be deposited for xBOMB holders. This comes from the protocols BOMB allocation and has no negative impact on BSHARE staking. 45 | * 80% of all fees collected from the autocompounding vaults will be used to buy BOMB on the open market and deposited for xBOMB holders. 46 | 47 | ### Contract 48 | 49 | The xBOMB contract can be found here: [0xAf16cB45B8149DA403AF41C63AbFEBFbcd16264b](https://bscscan.com/address/0xaf16cb45b8149da403af41c63abfebfbcd16264b) 50 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /welcome-start-here/faq-getting-started/getting-funds-to-binance-smart-chain-bsc.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | description: Let's get comfy with Binance Smart Chain (BSC). 3 | --- 4 | 5 | # Getting Funds to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) 6 | 7 | ### Connecting to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) 8 | 9 | If you aren't already connected to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) in your preferred wallet and you don't know how to do that, you'll need to do that first. 10 | 11 | There are plenty of great guides already out there on how to set that up. During epoch expansions the protocol mints BOMB and distributes it proportionally to all BSHARE holders who have staked their tokens in the [**Boardroom**](boardroom.md). 32 | 33 | BSHARE has a **maximum total supply of 70,001** tokens distributed as follows: 34 | 35 | 1. _Treasury/DAO Allocation: 5,500_ BSHARE vested linearly 12 months\* 36 | 2. _Team Allocation: 5,000_ BSHARE vested linearly over 12 months 37 | 3. _Rewards: 59,500_ BSHARE are allocated for incentivizing liquidity providers in two farming pools for 12 months 38 | 4. Initial mint: 1 BSHARE minted upon contract creation for the initial pool 39 | 40 | {% hint style="success" %} 41 | The Bomb Money team will use the treasury funds in any way that they feel is best for the long-term success of the protocol. 42 | {% endhint %} 43 | 44 | ### [BBOND - BOMB Bonds](bonds-mechanism.md) 45 | 46 | ![BBOND](<../.gitbook/assets/bbond-256 (1).png>) 47 | 48 | Contract: [0xDA1d9C79240003195d0a67f202efcCCC3F78b994](https://bscscan.com/address/0xda1d9c79240003195d0a67f202efcccc3f78b994) 49 | 50 | The main purpose of BOMB Bonds (BBOND) is to help incentivize fluctuations in the BOMB supply during epoch contraction periods. When the TWAP (time-weighted average price) of BOMB falls below 10,000 to 1 BTC, BBONDs are issued and can be bought with BOMB at the current price. Exchanging BOMB for BBOND burns BOMB tokens, taking them out of circulation (deflation) and helps to get the price back up to peg. These BBOND can be redeemed for BOMB when the price is above peg in the future, plus a premium based on how high above peg we currently are. This conversely creates inflation and subsequent sell pressure for BOMB when it is above peg, helping to push it back toward 10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC ratio. 51 | 52 | {% hint style="info" %} 53 | Unlike early algorithmic protocols, BBONDs do not have expiration dates. 54 | {% endhint %} 55 | 56 | All BBOND holders will be able to redeem their BBOND for BOMB tokens as long as the treasury has a positive BOMB balance, which typically happens when the protocol is in epoch expansion periods. 57 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /protocol/bonds-mechanism.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Bonds (BBOND) 2 | 3 | ![The "Pit", where you can interact with the protocol's bonding mechanism](<../.gitbook/assets/image (9).png>) 4 | 5 | ### What are BBOND (Bonds)? 6 | 7 | Bonds are unique tokens that can be utilized to help stabilize BOMB price around peg (10,000 BOMB = 1 BTC) by reducing the circulating supply of BOMB if the TWAP (time-weighted average price) goes below peg. 8 | 9 | ### When can I buy BBOND (Bonds)? 10 | 11 | BBOND can be purchased only during periods of supply contraction and when the TWAP of BOMB is below 1. 12 | 13 | At the beginning of every new epoch during contraction periods, BBONDs are issued in the amount of 3% of BOMB's circulating supply, with a max debt amount of 35%. This means that if bonds reach 35% of the circulating supply of BOMB, no more bonds will be issued. 14 | 15 | {% hint style="info" %} 16 | Note that during a zen epoch (when an epoch ends with a TWAP between 1.0 - 1.01), **no BBOND will be issued, even though the Boardroom does not print.** 17 | {% endhint %} 18 | 19 | {% hint style="danger" %} 20 | BBOND TWAP (time-weighted average price) is based on the BOMB TWAP from the previous epoch as it ends. In other words, the BOMB TWAP is real-time but the BBOND TWAP is not. 21 | {% endhint %} 22 | 23 | ### Where can I buy BBOND (Bonds)? 24 | 25 | You can buy BBONDs if any are available through [bomb.money](https://app.bomb.money/bond) in the [Pit](https://app.bomb.money/bond). Anyone can buy as many BBONDs as they want as long as they have enough BOMB to pay for them. 26 | 27 | There is a limit of available BBONDs per epoch during contraction periods (3% of BOMB's current circulating supply), and are sold first-come-first-serve. 28 | 29 | ### Why should I buy BBOND (Bonds)? 30 | 31 | The first and most important reason to buy BBOND is that they help to maintain the peg, but they are not the only measure in place to keep the protocol on track. 32 | 33 | BBONDs don't have an expiration date, so you can view them as an investment in the long-term health of the protocol to be redeemed for a premium at a later date. 34 | 35 | #### Incentives for Holding BBOND 36 | 37 | The idea is to reward BBOND buyers for helping the protocol, while also protecting the protocol from being manipulated by big players. 38 | 39 | So after you buy BBOND using BOMB, you have two possible ways to get your BOMB back: 40 | 41 | 1. Sell back your BBOND for BOMB **while the peg is between 1 - 1.1** (10,000 BOMB = 1 BTCB) with no redemption bonus. This is in place to prevent an instant dump as soon as peg is recovered. 42 | 2. Sell back your BBOND for BOMB **while the peg is above 1.1** (10,000 BOMB = 1 BTCB) with a bonus redemption rate. 43 | 44 | The longer you hold, the more both the protocol and you benefit from BBOND. 45 | 46 | {% hint style="success" %} 47 | Example: 48 | 49 | 1. When BOMB = 0.8, burn 1 BOMB to get 1 BBOND (BBOND price = 0.8) 50 | 2. When BOMB = 1.15, redeem 1 BBOND to get 1.105 BOMB (BBOND price = 1.27) 51 | {% endhint %} 52 | 53 | So, which one is better? 54 | 55 | If I buy BOMB at 0.8, and hold it until 1.15 and then sell, I'm getting +$0.35 per BOMB. 56 | 57 | But, if I buy BOMB at 0.8, burn it for BBOND, and redeem it at 1.15, I'm getting 1.105 BOMB \* 1.15 (BOMB current price) = 1,271 (+$0.47) per BBOND redeemed. 58 | 59 | But, what if getting back to peg is taking too long? 60 | 61 | We will adjust our use cases to have different behaviors on contraction and expansion periods to benefit both BOMB and BBOND holders when needed. 62 | 63 | ### What is the formula to calculate the redemption bonus for BBOND? 64 | 65 | To encourage the redemption of BBOND for BOMB when BOMB's TWAP > 1.1 and in order to incentivize users to redeem bonds at a higher price, BBOND redemption is designed to be more profitable with a higher BOMB TWAP value. The BBOND to BOMB ratio is 1:R, where R can be calculated using the formula as shown below: 66 | 67 | $$ 68 | R=1+[(BOMBtwapprice)-1)*coeff)] 69 | $$ 70 | 71 | $$ 72 | coeff = 0.7 73 | $$ 74 | 75 | ### When can I swap BBOND for a premium? 76 | 77 | You can only redeem BBONDs for a premium when the previous epoch's TWAP is greater than 1.1. 78 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /welcome-start-here/strategies.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | description: >- 3 | Potential strategies to reference as a quick-start guide to using the Bomb 4 | Money protocol. 5 | --- 6 | 7 | # Strategies 8 | 9 | Congratulations! You've made it this far. Now that you're ready to start using Bomb Money to earn some great yields, let's look at some basic strategies you can follow as a framework for your own investment strategy. We'll break things down by complexity and relative risk, so feel free to mix and match elements according to your own level of experience, investment goals, and risk tolerance. 10 | 11 | {% hint style="danger" %} 12 | The strategies described here are intended only to illustrate how to use the Bomb Money protocol and **do not constitute financial advice**. Always do your own research and make your own decisions with regard to how you use Bomb Money. 13 | {% endhint %} 14 | 15 | ### **⭐BOMB-BTCB Liquidity Pool Autocompounding Vault Strategy** 16 | 17 | This is the most simple and consistent strategy for new users, as it requires the fewest steps and the least effort to maintain (as in, zero effort). This option maintains the maximum amount of exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) while still earning incredible yields that automatically compound every two hours. 18 | 19 | If you're already holding BOMB and BTCB in your wallet and know how to throw that into the liquidity pool for LP tokens, you can do that manually if you like. (Refer to the [Provide LP](../helpful-guides/provide-lp.md) section for instructions on how to do this if you are interested.) But, our autocompounder vault can also do this automatically for you, which is the method we recommend. (Check out the documentation on our [Autocompounding Vaults](autocompounding-vaults.md) if you have any questions about how to use them.) 20 | 21 | ### Semi-active Restaking Strategy 22 | 23 | Once you have familiarized yourself with the Bomb Money protocol and how everything works, you might be interested to try a more active and advanced strategy to diversify your passive income streams and potentially increase yields. 24 | 25 | One way to do this would be to buy some BOMB and pair it with BTCB to receive BOMB-BTCB LP tokens. (Refer to the [Provide LP](../helpful-guides/provide-lp.md) section for instructions on how to do this.) You can then stake those LP tokens in our [Farms](../protocol/farms.md) to earn BSHARE, which you can then withdraw on a regular basis and stake in the [Boardroom](../protocol/boardroom.md) to earn additional BOMB when above peg and the Boardroom is printing. 26 | 27 | What you do with the BOMB you earn then is up to you. You could stake it for [xBOMB](../protocol/xbomb-bomb-staking.md), sell it immediately on the open market, or throw it in the [BOMB-BTCB LP autocompounding vault](autocompounding-vaults.md) to earn even more compounding returns on those rewards. 28 | 29 | ### **More Complex/Active Strategies** 30 | 31 | As the Bomb Money ecosystem grows, more complex, advanced, and active strategies will emerge. Once you fully understand the protocol and how all its mechanisms interact, feel free to experiment. 32 | 33 | Keep in mind these fundamental aspects of the protocol when you are thinking about how to most optimally balance your portfolio: 34 | 35 | 1. The Boardroom only prints for BSHARE stakers **when the peg is above 1.01**. 36 | 2. The higher BOMB is above peg, the **more BOMB is printed for BSHARE stakers in the Boardroom**. This makes staking BSHARE more attractive the higher above peg we currently are. 37 | 3. Conversely, BSHARE becomes less attractive as BOMB dips below peg. 38 | 39 | Ultimately, the goal of an advanced user of the protocol should be to help maintain the peg. Doing so will result in the greatest rewards for not only yourself as an individual, but for every person participating in the protocol as a whole. 40 | 41 | Strategically rebalancing your portfolio to apply buying pressure to BOMB when below peg, or selling pressure when above peg, can be a very profitable strategy, but is not without risk. As such, this type of strategy is for experienced users only. 42 | 43 | {% hint style="success" %} 44 | The easiest way to earn consistent yields with Bomb Money is always in the autocompounding vaults. Everything they do you can do manually, but require significant time for monitoring and gas fees for every transaction. 45 | {% endhint %} 46 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /welcome-start-here/autocompounding-vaults.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | # Autocompounding Vaults 2 | 3 | **One of the unique advantages of being in the Bomb Money ecosystem is that we have our own autocompounding vaults which are designed to maximize your earning potential.** 4 | 5 | Staking BOMB-BTCB LP, BSHARE-BNB LP, or BOMB-BSHARE LP tokens in these vaults rewards you with more of the same LP (liquidity pool) tokens as the ones you have deposited. These deposits happen in the same yield farms that are available to everyone else on Bomb Money. 6 | 7 | But here is where the auto-compounder magic steps in - every set amount of minutes, they harvest the BSHARE that you’ve earned and sell a portion of it automatically. The proceeds are then further used to mint more LP tokens on PancakeSwap which are again deposited into the Bomb Money autocompounder, further growing your allocation with zero effort on your part. 8 | 9 | {% hint style="info" %} 10 | Note that while this entire process can be done manually, the autocompounder saves you from the hassle of having to schedule and remember specific actions, simplifying the whole process down to a single click and saving you loads in gas fees along the way. 11 | {% endhint %} 12 | 13 | The BOMB-BTCB LP, BSHARE-BNB LP, and BOMB-BSHARE LP pools pay rewards in BSHARE. If you’re in the BOMB-BSHARE or BSHARE-BNB LP pools, 50% of your BSHARE rewards are sold to purchase BOMB or BNB respectively each time the protocol auto-compounds. If you’re in the BOMB-BTCB pool, 100% of your reward is sold and used to purchase half BOMB and half BTCB each time. Unlike the BOMB-BTCB or BOMB-BSHARE vaults, the BSHARE-BNB vault does not apply any buy pressure on BOMB. 14 | 15 | To access the Bomb Money autocompounding vaults, just navigate to our [Autovaults](https://www.bomb.farm/#/bsc) page. If you have any questions about how to use them, check the relevant sections below for the vault you want to use! 16 | 17 | {% hint style="info" %} 18 | One of the great things about our BOMB-BTCB LP autovault is that because it is selling BSHARE to purchase both BOMB and BTCB automatically every two hours, simply parking your BOMB or BTCB in this autovault is all you need to do to add to your Bitcoin holdings automatically over time. 19 | 20 | In a bear market, this can be an extremely effective way to automatically DCA into your Bitcoin position and significantly grow your Bitcoin holdings, purely from rewards granted by the vault and without any manual effort. 21 | {% endhint %} 22 | 23 | ## BOMB-BTCB LP Autovault 24 | 25 | Follow the instructions below to deposit into our BOMB-BTCB LP autovault and start earning auto-compounding returns on your BOMB and BTCB every two hours with zero effort. 26 | 27 | 1\. Once BBONDs are issued, does the Boardroom stop printing BOMB until we are above peg again?** 45 | 46 | Staking BSHARE will only give you BOMB rewards when the price of BOMB is above the peg (10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC), but not when it is under the peg. 47 | 48 | ### **2. What happens if I interact with the Boardroom in any way? Are there any lockup periods?** 49 | 50 | Yes, there are two lockup timers. One for BOMB rewards and one for staked BSHARE. **Any interaction with the Boardroom will reset both timers.** The lockup period for withdrawing BOMB rewards is **3 epochs (18 hours)**, or **6 epochs (36 hours)** to unstake your BSHARE. 51 | 52 | ### **3. Are the Boardroom rewards pro-rated by time? For example, if I stake three hours before the end of an epoch versus five hours before the end of an epoch, would I get different rewards?** 53 | 54 | No, Boardroom rewards are determined by how much you have staked at the time of printing (i.e., at the end of one epoch and the start of the other). It doesn't matter if you stake three hours before or thirty seconds before the emissions occur. 55 | 56 | ### 4. If I remove my BSHARE from the Boardroom without first collecting my BOMB, will they be lost forever? 57 | 58 | No, they will still be there to collect whenever you need. 59 | 60 | ### 5. The Boardroom APR dropped because we're in a "debt phase." What does that mean? 61 | 62 | A debt phase takes place during expansion epochs that start after a contraction period where there are still BBOND to be redeemed. 63 | 64 | 65% of expansion during a debt phase is allocated to the treasury fund to prepare for subsequent BBOND redemption down the road. This amount is always reserved, regardless of whether BBOND holders are redeeming bonds or not. 65 | 66 | Once enough BOMB is sufficiently stocked in the treasury to satisfy the redemption of all circulating BBOND, expansion rates will resume to normal. 67 | 68 | ### 6. If we're in a debt phase, how long will it last until the Boardroom continues printing as normal? 69 | 70 | The debt phase will last as long as is necessary to adequately pay back outstanding BBOND debt. Please keep in mind that the DAO will also need to collect a little extra, as there needs to be a cushion to cover the bonus premiums when people redeem BBOND over peg.\ 71 | \ 72 | There's no exact way of calculating how many epochs it will take, since the protocol doesn't know exactly when people will redeem their BBOND. The debt phase cannot end until the treasury has enough BOMB to cover the redemption of all outstanding BBONDs plus a premium. 73 | 74 | ### 7. At the end of the epoch, the Boardroom did not print BOMB, but then no BBOND(s) were issued either. Why? 75 | 76 | There is a balanced state "at peg" when BOMB's TWAP is between 1.00 and 1.01, which results in no contraction or expansion of the circulating supply of BOMB. This is referred to as a **zen epoch**. 77 | 78 | ### 8. If BOMB continues to climb above the price of the peg, will that influence how long the debt phase lasts? 79 | 80 | Depending on the price of BOMB, the Boardroom print will have to adjust to provide a buffer for any unclaimed BBOND. As the price of BOMB climbs above the peg, more BOMB needs to be distributed to the treasury to account for BBOND redemption plus premiums. 81 | 82 | ### 9. How can I figure out what my future BOMB rewards will be from the Boardroom? 83 | 84 | Let's take a look at a simplified example for a _non-debt phase_: say you have 1 BSHARE staked out of 10 total BSHAREs staked in the Boardroom. In this case, you will receive 10% of the total BOMB printed in the Boardroom. 85 | 86 | For this example we are assuming that there is a total circulating supply of 10,000 BOMB and the current expansion rate is at 4%, so a total of 400 BOMB will be printed in the Boardroom. Under the protocol's current rules, 60% of those newly printed BOMB will be distributed to BSHARE stakers in the Boardroom. (See the [BOMB Distribution](bomb-distribution.md) page for more details on how BOMB is distributed within the protocol.)\ 87 | \ 88 | Therefore, you would get: ((0.04 _\*_ 10000) _\*_ 0.6) \* (1/10) = **24 BOMB**.\ 89 | \ 90 | Thus, the formula to calculate your rewards is as follows:\ 91 | ((_ExpansionRate_ \* _CirculatingBOMBSupply)_ \* 0.6) \* (_YourBShareStake_ / _TotalBShareStaked_) 92 | 93 | ### 10. How long will it take for BSHARE to pay itself off from BOMB rewards based on current prices? 94 | 95 | This will vary constantly as the APR in the Boardroom fluctuates, along with other variables such as the price of BOMB. 96 | 97 | For a quick estimation, however, you can do the following: 98 | 99 | 1. Take the total APR shown in the Boardroom and divide that by 365 to get the daily APR. (For this example we will say the daily APR is 5%.)
100 | 2. Multiply that daily APR by the current market price of the total BSHARE you have staked to see what your daily rewards are. (In this example, we have 5 BSHARE, each worth $500, for a total amount staked of $2500. Your daily return in this case would be $2500 \* 0.05, which comes out to $125 per day.) 101 | 3. Take your initial buy-in price for BSHARE and divide it by your daily rewards. If you bought these 5 BSHARE at a higher price, say $700 for example, in the current market conditions you would recover your initial investment of $3500 in 3500/125 or 28 days. 102 | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /README.md: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | --- 2 | description: About bomb.money 3 | --- 4 | 5 | # Introduction 6 | 7 | Welcome to Bomb Money! If this is your first time here, please take some time to read through this documentation before you begin using the protocol. This documentation is intended to take you through the entire process of how to get started using Bomb Money to earn stable, high yields that are only possible through the power of DeFi, but with the stability and security of exposure to Bitcoin, the world's largest and most stable crypto asset. Let's dive in! 8 | 9 | ## Origins 10 | 11 | Bomb Money is based upon the work of the brilliant **tomb.finance** project on the Fantom network. At the time, it was hard to believe that nothing similar existed on any other larger networks, so it was a great opportunity to bring an amazingly stable and robust DeFi protocol like **tomb.finance** with a few unique twists to the masses. As far as networks go, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) seemed like the perfect choice with its fast transaction speeds, low gas fees, and much larger user base, so one thing led to another and now here we are!\ 12 | \ 13 | This project would certainly not be possible without the work of the [tomb.finance](https://tomb.finance) team. Their project being fully open source and developed exceptionally well made it a pleasure to work with, and we would not be here today without their efforts, so we want to give a special thank you to them for that. 14 | 15 | {% hint style="info" %} 16 | Bomb Money was launched on November 23, 2021. The rest is history! 17 | {% endhint %} 18 | 19 | ## What's the point? 20 | 21 | Ultimately, the purpose of the Bomb Money protocol is to provide the means for its underlying BOMB asset to maintain a value that is algorithmically pegged to the value to Bitcoin (BTC) at a 10,000 to 1 ratio. 22 | 23 | So, what good is that? We will explore this idea further throughout this documentation, but for now without getting _too_ technical, this opens up a world of possibilities for existing, long-time Bitcoin holders, people already familiar with DeFi, as well as new users just coming into the space. 24 | 25 | Bitcoin transactions are slow and expensive. There are not nearly as many attractive yield earning opportunities in DeFi for people to put their precious Bitcoin to work for them. BOMB, through the Bomb Money protocol, can solve many of these problems and more, generating immense value for our users in the process. 26 | 27 | As the Bomb Money ecosystem grows over time, the potential future applications are quite literally endless. And, as you proceed through this documentation and learn more about how the Bomb Money protocol works, we will explore some of that potential in more detail. 28 | 29 | {% hint style="info" %} 30 | BOMB is the native token of the Bomb Money protocol. The built-in stability mechanisms within the protocol aim to maintain BOMB's peg of 10,000 BOMB = 1 Bitcoin (BTC) in the long run. 31 | {% endhint %} 32 | 33 | ## What are the Bomb Money protocol tokens? 34 | 35 | Bomb Money’s multi-token protocol currently consists of the following four tokens, and each plays a critical role in how the protocol works to maintain peg: 36 | 37 | 1. **BOMB Tokens ($BOMB)** - The BOMB token is designed for use as a medium of exchange, and is intended to have many other use cases as the Bomb Money ecosystem grows. BOMB is algorithmically pegged to Bitcoin (BTC) at a ratio of 10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC. 38 | 2. ****[**xBOMB Tokens ($XBOMB)**](protocol/xbomb-bomb-staking.md) - xBOMB is the governance token of BOMB Protocol. It can be obtained by staking BOMB. This helps to keep BOMB supply limited while providing another means of earning yield for BOMB holders, among other planned use cases. 39 | 3. **BOMB Shares ($BSHARE)** - BSHARE can be staked in the [Boardroom](protocol/boardroom.md) to earn a portion of minted BOMB as rewards to those BSHARE holders for investing in the health and stability of the protocol. 40 | 4. ****[**BOMB Bonds ($BBOND)**](protocol/bonds-mechanism.md) - BBOND’s main job is to help incentivize and reward users for helping to regain peg during times of supply contraction below peg. 41 | 42 | ## How does it work? 43 | 44 | The Bomb Money protocol works through a synergistic design of unique tokens and mechanisms that create an automatic, self-reinforcing system to help maintain the peg (10,000 BOMB = 1 Bitcoin). Each of these tokens and mechanisms will be explained in further detail within this documentation, but for now let's have a look at a brief overview of how it all works: 45 | 46 | * When **BOMB price is over the peg**, new BOMB are minted by the protocol to inflate the supply in an attempt to drive the price down towards the peg. These new BOMB are allocated to BSHARE holders in the Boardroom, as a reward for their investment and trust in the protocol. This in turn increases the demand for and the value of BSHARE. 47 | * When **BOMB price is at the peg**, no new BOMB will be minted, keeping the supply fixed during this time. Since there will be no new supply coming in, the peg will be maintained indefinitely at this point unless there is a shift in demand. More buying pressure during this time will push the price back up above the BOMB minting threshold. Conversely, more selling pressure will push the price below the peg. 48 | * When **BOMB price drops below the peg**, the protocol will begin to mint BBONDs (up to a maximum debt limit). Experienced investors will have the ability to exchange their BOMB for these BBOND, which they can then redeem for BOMB at a premium above peg in the future. This removes BOMB from the total supply, applying upward pressure on the price towards the peg. Besides this, investors who believe in the protocol's ability to maintain peg can just buy BOMB to essentially purchase Bitcoin at a discount to the market. Both of these incentives are intended to create upward pressure on BOMB's price when under the peg so that the peg can be regained over time. BOMB staking (xBOMB), and other features of the protocol that will be discussed later, also help limit BOMB supply and apply upward pressure on the price during this time. 49 | 50 | {% hint style="info" %} 51 | There are so many different ways you can utilize the mechanisms of the Bomb Money protocol to earn yield. Pick a strategy that is right for you, based upon your own knowledge and experience. Even the most simple and basic of strategies can earn great returns, but feel free to experiment with more complex strategies as you learn how the protocol works! 52 | {% endhint %} 53 | 54 | ## What exactly is the peg? 55 | 56 | BOMB is a token that is intended to track the price of Bitcoin (BTC) algorithmically. The ratio for this peg is set at 10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC. BOMB **actively tracks this peg via an algorithm**, but that **does not mean** it will be valued at 10,000 BOMB to 1 BTC at all times as **it is not collateralized**. **BOMB is not to be confused for a crypto or fiat-backed stablecoin.** 57 | 58 | The entire design of the Bomb Money protocol is intended to try and maintain this peg as closely as possible, but as it is an algorithmic peg, this will never be a completely stable process. In fact, some of the unique profit-generating opportunities offered by the protocol actually only exist because of these price fluctuations. 59 | 60 | To put it simply, there will **almost certainly be times when the price of BOMB is below peg**. This is a natural part of the process, and opens up opportunities for active investors/traders to "buy the dip" and help support the protocol by regaining peg, while also profiting from the discounted price. 61 | 62 | ![A visualization of BOMB price in relation to peg](<.gitbook/assets/BOMB Price Visualization.png>) 63 | 64 | When the protocol is healthy and stable, the price of BOMB will likely look similar to above, with price fluctuating above and below peg as the mechanisms of the protocol work to influence supply and demand and maintain an average price around the peg. 65 | 66 | Keep this in mind when developing your strategies and when taking a more active role in the protocol. 67 | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
